Chapter 24 The Dormant Plan

The helicopter roared and fell from the night sky, and stood firm on the apron with the words "H" written on it. The uniformed deputy pulled the cabin door open from the inside, Wolfgang von Strack walked off the plane with his hands on his back, and the monolithic mirror in his right eye shone coldly under the cold light.

A few hours ago, news of the loss of several important strongholds of Hydra spread throughout the organization, and almost everyone realized that this organization, which claimed to never be destroyed, might finally be the final chapter of its fate. But Baron Strack realized this fact first and foremost, which is why before Fury's final full-scale war broke out, he had already slipped to the other side of the ocean without knowing it, and took away all the most valuable things in the division under his jurisdiction.

To be honest, Strack never cared about what the leaders of other Hydra's branches would end up in the end. He was the highest-level cadre of Hydra, but he was also an ambitious man. Even today, he never gave up taking over the power and eventually led Hydra to realize the ambition of its founder - that is, conquering the world.

So when he foresaw the organization was about to be defeated, he cut off contact with all other branches without hesitation and ran away.

Not only that, Strak was even thinking about what other Hydra's institutions and departments could be pushed out as shields. Now that Hydra's exposure is a foregone conclusion, the core strength of the organization has been basically destroyed, and ASCHD will definitely have a series of finishing work to clean up the remaining parties. In this case, pushing a few scapegoats out may divert everyone's attention, so that he can have enough space to accumulate strength again.

Strack's base is located in the depths of a remote forest. This facility is completely his personal secret, and the leaders of other branches within the organization do not know its existence.

He had already had a premonition that this place would come in handy one day, but he didn't expect it would be now, and it would be in this form.

Baron Strack strode into the base, following his confidant and personal guards. He ignored all the subordinates he respectfully asked him along the way and quickly walked to the door of a laboratory.

"Sir." The guard at the door saluted him in a standard manner, then turned around and knocked on the operating panel a few times to open the door. The electric welding sound of the eardrum stinged out of the gap as the metal door slid open. A strong man with a tiger back and a bear-waisted waist was welding a metal device of complex structure towards them.

The strong man stopped the work when he noticed someone entering the door and turned around. He took off his black goggles and revealed a rough Russian man with a fat face. He was wearing a rustic jacket that looked like he had been bought from a street stall, and his painting style was quite inconsistent with the militarized base facilities.

Ivan Vanke, a Russian scientist, and his father, Anton Vanke, had studied the Ark Reactor with Howard Stark. But later Howard discovered that Anton Vanke had a bad intention and drove him out of the United States. Anton Vanke was poor in his later years and eventually died of depression with hatred for the Stark family.

Although Anton Vanke died, his hatred was inherited by Ivan Vanke. Unfortunately, Ivan Vanke is also a super genius in the field of mechanical engineering. He actually created the prototype of the reactor with just a sketch of the ark reactor left by his father, and used it to create an energy weapon in the form of a whipline to seek revenge for Tony Stark.

Of course, as everyone knows, Anton Vanke's revenge ultimately failed, but the imitation of Iron Man armor and arc reactor he designed in the process proved his talent and attracted the attention of Hydra. Hydra quickly took him for himself and is currently under the jurisdiction of Baron Strack.

Baron Strak waved his hand and signaled his confidant to stay at the door and walked in. He bypassed the messy equipment and some semi-finished devices in the laboratory, picked up the objects that Ivan Vanke had just been busy with and looked at them.

"Is this?"

"Energy Exciter." Ivan replied in English with a clear Russian accent. "As required, he was designed to be the shape of the hilt. After connecting the reactor, pressing the switch, it can release a plasma blade with a stable shape."

Strak held it in his hand and seemed quite satisfied: "It looks like you're speeding up your progress recently."

"Try to live up to expectations." Ivan said stiffly.

This unruly and rough man obviously knew that his new boss was a very dangerous person. If Ivan Vanke was compared to a fierce and deadly beast, then Strak was a first-class orc tamer. He taught this beast when it should show its fangs and when it should restrain itself.

Baron Strack put the hilt back into place.

"Where is another thing?" he asked, "things I explained last time."

"Here, sir."

Ivan kicked away the messy failed works he threw on the floor and led Strak through the messy room to the other end of the lab. He pushed away the circuit boards full of the table and found the remote control, and pressed the switch to the wall.

The walls of the laboratory received the signal and slowly shrank back to the ceiling. The three-meter-high iron silver wardrobe slowly rose from under the floor tiles to the ground, and a set of gray-black armor stood upright. Its shell was covered with red spray paint, with wild lines, revealing a fierce and manic industrial beauty.

The right hand of the armor was replaced with a blood-red robotic arm from the elbow, and its five fingers were as sharp as a file. It was the "Claw of Satan", the iconic weapon of Baron Strak, and the crystallization of technology created by countless Hydra scientists. Its five fingers cut iron like mud, can provide amazing power, release high-voltage current, and can also be equipped with gun weapons such as Gatlin.

Baron Strack looked at the set of his exclusive armor and couldn't help but curl the corners of his mouth, revealing a gloomy smile.

Although Hydra is close to destruction, the power of the branches under his jurisdiction has been preserved. Now he not only has top single-soldier combat armor comparable to Iron Man, but also controls a pair of super-powered twins with outstanding abilities. Now as long as he lies back in the shadows, patiently accumulates his strength, and when the time is right, he will lead Hydra to rebirth in the wreckage! He will make a comeback in a form far superior to any previous period, realizing that even their founder, Red Skull, could not achieve...

Before Baron Strack could finish his grand blueprint, the sharp and loud alarm sounded the entire base.

The Baron's expression froze instantly. He turned cold and left the laboratory, and arrived at the control center of the base as fast as possible.

"What's the situation?" he asked sternly.

A correspondent with headphones in front of the computer responded loudly: "We are being attacked!"

"Whose attack?" Strack frowned. "Is SHIELD still chasing here forever?"

"No, not ASCHEU. The enemy seems to be...one person??"
