Chapter 22 Identity

Late at night, a certain Hydra facility.

The searchlights are like swords of the bright world. They intersect around the base, cutting the deep darkness.

The outer edge of the base is surrounded by an iron fence with high voltage electricity, with a height of nearly three meters. Normally, no one can fly over it while it is powered. But now someone has done it. This man is wearing a black uniform that is convenient for night movement, black goggles and masks, and a silver-white mechanically powered arm. He jumped over the high voltage iron fence more than three meters high, and his figure was as light as a flying swallow.

Winter Warrior. He was once a sharp knife controlled by Hydra. Now the sharp knife has regained its sense of autonomy and has begun to attack his master in turn.

From where he landed to the observation deck, it was about 150 meters away. According to the observation of the searchlight beam pattern, the light will be at least seven seconds away from the next time that the light will sweep through this area. Seven seconds will be 150 meters, which is a bit exaggerated for the holders of the world record, but it is not impossible for the super soldiers.

He successfully avoided the searchlight and arrived at the observation deck, rushed to the tower and knocked down the two Hydra soldiers who were sitting in the duty room playing poker. He penetrated like a ghost, precise and deadly, but silently.

Two flash bullets smashed the window on the third floor and threw them in, and unexpectedly took away the sight of the soldiers guarding the room. The winter soldier followed closely. He held a gun in his right hand and the robotic arm in his left hand holding a special combat knife, and the blade shone coldly under the cold light.

The alarm was triggered, and the entire base fell into a state of high alert in an instant - but it didn't matter anymore. The deadliest killer had penetrated into the interior. It took him less than three seconds to solve the three Hydra soldiers in the room. He walked into the corridor and strided forward, while constantly shooting down every enemy that appeared along the way.

The winter warriors blocked the murderer and killed the Buddha. No one in the whole building seemed to be able to stop him from moving forward. He left corpses all the way and came straight to the office at the end of the corridor on the third floor. He kicked open the door, and the bald Hydra agent with glasses had already raised his hands inside and set up the surrendered POSE.

"Wait! Wait!" Sitville shouted loudly, with cold sweats on his bare forehead, "I surrender, okay? I will cooperate, I will tell you everything..."

The Winter Soldier leaned down.

"Thank you." He spoke hoarsely. But before the bald Erwuzi could feel relieved, he pulled the trigger. Long fireworks spewed out of the barrel of the Colt pistol, and the bullets swirled through the bald's forehead, taking his life before he realized what had happened.

The Winter Soldier lowered his gun and looked down at the corpse of Starville's fallen ground.

"But I don't care."

ASCHUAN, Sanquyi Building, Director's Office.

Nick Fury stared at the map projected in front of him with a gloomy face. More than a dozen red light spots were marked on the vast blue map. Some were large and small, some were hidden in the mountains, some were hidden underwater, and some were even hidden underground in the ASUS facility.

Fury raised his head, and looked at the mysterious man in high-tech armor standing in front of the floor-to-ceiling window with a sharp gaze of doubt. He had become more and more aware of this guy coming out of time and time in his office.

"You said that these are all Hydra's strongholds." Fury looked at him and whispered, "How sure are you?"

"100 percent," said Michael, "you should know that no error has occurred in the information I have provided you so far."

"We have the opportunity to verify every piece of information you provided before. But this?" Fury pointed to the map with red dots floating on his desk, "This is different from before."

Michael said lightly: "I wouldn't say that if it weren't for sure, but this war has indeed reached a crucial juncture, Director Fury. The ones I listed for you are the hearts of Hydra, and they are reserve measures to retain their strength after being exposed - and this is not just as simple as the defense force that was several times stronger than the strongholds that were previously removed by S.H.E.L.D.

All these bases are interconnected and connected with each other, and they wove together into a huge sensitive network. As long as one of them is lost, the other parts will immediately execute backup agreements for transfer, and all the information in it will be destroyed. It took me a lot of effort to find out their entire location, and if there is any mistake, all the efforts will be wasted."

Fury tapped the glass tabletop: "You mean, you must take them all out at the same time."

Michael nodded.

Hydra is an extremely large organization, it is rooted in all corners of the earth. Although Michael can kill an army head-on, he does not have enough manpower or resources to eliminate behemoths like Hydra.

That's why he needs the intervention of Aegis.

"'Cut off one head and two will grow out'." Michael repeated the well-known Hydra logo phrase, "There is a reason for this sentence. Hydra is like a dying young hero. Every time you think they have completely eradicated them, they can always find opportunities to lie dormant, accumulate strength, and then make a comeback at your most unexpected moment...unless we don't give them the chance to grow a new head."

Fury leaned back and held his chin with his hands crossed.

"Not long ago you proved to me that my old boss, Alexander Pierce, the person who handed the position of Commander of the ASCHS to me was actually a Hydra spy." Fury said, "I haven't figured out how to hand over this matter to the World Security Council. Now you want me to launch a final battle with Hydra. Such a big move cannot be hidden from the Council, and I must obtain approval."

"It's theoretically." Michael didn't care, "but you are Nick Fury, don't tell me you can't handle the old men in the office."

"Maybe I can, but you haven't given me enough reason yet." Fury stared at his eyepiece with lightning eyes. "You said when you first proposed cooperation, I don't have to give you any trust. You leave intelligence, I check the truth and then decide whether to act on your own - this is how things always work.

But now it's different. You said we need to take down more than a dozen bases in one go, and we can't verify them one by one before we start. So far, we don't have enough trust to promote this operation. I believe you can understand that I can't risk sending all my agents into a trap."

"It's reasonable." Michael nodded, not surprised at all. After all, until now, ASCHE has known nothing about him, and as commander Nick Fury had to consider all the risks.

But before he made this proposal, he had already prepared to deal with it.

"If the action is successful, this may be our last cooperation, Director Fury. If successful, the Hydra will be erased from human history forever and will never exist again - this means great significance to both of us."

Michael said, gaps began to appear in the limbs and chest of the armor. Countless screws at the connection began to rotate, and the parts separated from each other.

"So to promote this success, trust is certainly essential," Michael continued on his own, "and I'm willing to take this first."

Nick Fury stared at the black armor opened from the middle, and the man who had been hiding behind the armor for a month and a half walked out of it and tidied up his clothes.

"Re-reach, Director Fury." He stretched out his hand, "I'm glad we've finally met officially."
