Chapter 45 Deep in the Forbidden Forest
The moonlight shines in the dense jungle, casting strange black shadows on the ground, like countless ghosts dancing in their teeth.
Occasionally, shrill howling sounds came from the depths of the forbidden forest, as if countless demons and monsters were hidden.
Brian walked quietly in one direction, his footsteps rustling. Draco followed him from afar, and the slight sound of footsteps merged into the sound of the wind blowing the leaves, making him unable to hear it.
A ray of silver light flashed in front of him, and then swam quickly.
It was the silver snake Over, and its silver scales reflected a brilliant light in the moonlight. It had been missing for a long time and swam lightly to Brian and hissed at him.
Brian used his magic wand to guard the surroundings and reached out to grab Over.
"Where?" he hissed, his voice very soft.
"It's in front, it's almost here." Over said, his little red eyes shining.
Following Over's guidance, Brian crossed a raised small slope and quietly down the slope, and saw a corner of his clothes exposed behind the trunk in front.
Brian did not get close to it. He hid behind a protruding rock and quietly threw a stone in the other direction. The stone hit the tree trunk and made a crisp "pop".
"Avadassaudi!"
A cold voice sounded, and a bright green beam hit the tree trunk, causing it to burst directly, igniting a faint green flame, illuminating a small piece of space around it.
"Destroy your weapons!"
A red beam shot out from the tip of Brian's wand, hitting the exposed figure. A magic wand flew to Brian's side and was caught by him.
"Who is it?" the figure hid behind the tree trunk and said coldly.
"Tom, is it you?" Brian still hid behind the stone and said in a gentle tone.
"Bryan?" the figure paused and responded slowly.
"It's me. I really didn't expect that Tom, you already have a body." Brian said softly, his tone as gentle as if he was chatting with friends.
Tom was silent.
"Can't you come out to talk, Tom?" said Brian. "After all, we've been together for so long."
"Okay, come out." Tom said calmly.
Brian heard footsteps coming from Tom, he moved his wand slightly and said softly: "Armor Protects!"
An invisible wall of light blocked him, pushing away a group of colorful poisonous snakes that were tangled together.
"Bear of flame!" A flame ignited, burning them to ashes, and then spreading around, creaking the unknown things hidden in the grass.
"So, Tom, you're not sincere at all." Brian sighed.
He quickly flashed out from behind the stone, pointed to the figure and said, "Damn it!"
The figure fell down, then climbed up again, and whispered: "It's useless, Brian. Your spell is invalid for me."
"Yeah, but I think, how many more times can you fight, Tom?" Brian whispered, "I guess there is another one."
"Damn it!"
Brian emitted a red light again, and Tom flew over and avoided it.
"Why not continue, Tom? You're so embarrassed." Brian curled his lips, "My spell is not effective for you, isn't it?"
A black mist pounced on Brian, condensed into a black snake shadow, revealing fangs to him.
Brian raised his hand and sprinkled a bottle of potion, sprinkled on the black snakes like spring rain, making them melt like snow.
"The potion to remove abnormal states is often used to remove wounds caused by black magic." Brian's voice was soft, just like a professor in a lecture. "But sometimes, it can also be used to deal with some black magic that is strong outside and hard at the same time."
"Tom, stop playing tricks, I know very well how weak you are... Let's talk, how about it?" Brian smiled.
"It seems you know my situation very clearly." Tom said slowly. He slowly approached and walked into the brilliance of the green flame.
It was Fred Weasley's face, which looked a little pale in the faint green light. There was a smile on the corner of his mouth, but it seemed like he was wearing a false mask.
"I didn't expect you to find me, Brian." His tone was soft and elegant.
"Yes, I didn't expect you to become... like this." Brian smiled, his tone as relaxed as if he was facing an old friend.
"I just want to see the world again as a human being." Tom whispered, "Don't stop me, Brian."
"Then why did you leave me secretly? You also controlled my snake."
"Because I'm worried you won't agree," Tom said, "You know, no one wants to give his own safety to another person..."
"Oh?" Brian said playfully.
"We should be friends, Brian." Tom said softly, "we have a lot of common language, even if there are differences."
"From the beginning, my friends who are deceitful and deceitful?" Brian said softly.
Hearing this, Tom paused and said slowly, "I'm wondering how much do you know." He looked at Brian with interest, as if he knew him the first day.
"I think, a lot." Brian said.
"For example?" Tom looked elegant and calm.
"For example... Horcrux." Brian kept smiling.
Tom's expression was stiff and his face became a little dark.
"It seems you've always known it?" he said lightly.
Brian chuckled and said playfully: "I wasn't sure at first, but now I know."
Tom's expression became completely gloomy.
"After all, you have controlled me once, Tom." Brian said gently, "You don't think that I will not investigate anything, and still believe you, right?"
"A memory cannot have such ability unless it is a soul."
"I've looked for many books and found that your statement is full of loopholes, Tom. I don't know why you told me such a crappy lie, maybe you never took me seriously."
"Brain closure? I underestimated you, Brian." Tom said indifferently, "Then, my departure is also within your plan?"
"Yes, Overwhel always obeyed my orders." Brian nodded casually.
"But why? Snakes cannot resist the orders of the Snake Man's accent, even if they already have a nominal master. After all, you are not a natural Snake Man's accent." Tom said, "And, I have not found any problem with my God-taking thoughts."
Brian said slightly sarcastically, "I know you are a snake man, so why don't you take good care of it? It's very simple, a soul-catching curse is enough."
"So that's it." Tom suddenly said.
"I've used a soul-taking spell on Over since the Duel Club." Brian said softly, "I made it impossible for him to reveal any information about me, so I'm not worried that Potter would take it away on Christmas Day."
"I let it act in the face of you only instincts, without too many thoughts, so you can't see its thoughts, you just feel that it's stupid."
"It follows my orders, and occasionally sacrifices some small creatures to you to slowly enhance your abilities. That day, it left with its diary and was under my control. At the same time, you occupied Weasley's body, which was also within my expectations."
"After all, the Soul Leaving Incident is something I have revealed to you. There is no more perfect body than those people." Brian's eyes flashed slightly, "Of course, you may only be able to barely control this body now. The level of magic you exert can't even compare to the lower-grade little wizard."
Tom squinted his eyes, his eyes icy and harsh.
"After all, Over has been controlling the quantity and quality of life sacrificed to you, keeping you in a weak state at all times," said Brian. "Even if you have mastered many dangerous spells, they are just a sign of it."
"It was also Overwhel who told me your location in a cave in the Forbidden Forest, and like I confided all your arrangements around you."
Tom closed his eyes and sighed slightly, "You are the smartest little wizard I have ever met, Brian. He is not even as good as you at my age."
"So, what exactly is it for you that you didn't try to destroy me or even let me act?"
"For one purpose, and a few confusions, Tom." Brian blinked and said something puzzling with some headaches, "The purpose may not be achieved, but confusion must be resolved."
"I think you can give me an answer, Tom."
Tom showed a sarcastic expression and said, "You won't naively think I'll help you solve your confusion, do you?"
"Yes, but I can give you a price that you can't refuse." Brian said gently.
"Let's hear, Brian."
