Chapter 39
Harry and Ron ran wildly in the corridor, their bodies slowly getting smaller and gradually returning to their original appearance.
They rushed up the steps and entered the dark foyer, throwing their shoes at the door of the cabinet where Crab and Goll were holding, and the sound of rushing came from the cabinet. They ignored it and hurried back to the sobbing Myrtle's bathroom.
"You said, the last time Hagrid really opened the secret room?" Harry changed his clothes and said in a harsh tone.
"I don't know, Harry." Ron opened his mouth.
Harry had a pale face. He always knew that Hagrid had a special liking for a huge monster. Perhaps Hagrid would think it was unreasonable to imprison that monster for so long, and he should let it come out and let it go.
Harry even imagined Hagrid, who was a teenager, tied a leash on the monster, and took it on a necklace, and strolled around the castle. But he didn't believe Hagrid would deliberately kill people.
"Don't think too much, Harry." Ron comforted Harry's ugly face, "This is just what Foley said. Maybe he's wrong, or just lie."
Harry nodded mutely, trying to pull the silver snake that had been tangled with him from his arm.
"Oh, it's you, I said your smell is very familiar...Don't pull me..." Over hissed, "You are scar head, right? Little yellow-haired always calls you that..."
Harry had an idea and hissed, "Is your master Brian Fly?"
Ron stared at him with horror, and Harry winked at him.
"Yes, my name is Over." Over didn't move, like a serpentine sculpture.
"Your master, can he communicate with you like me?" Harry felt his heart pounding.
"It's a pity, no, you are the first one." Over said, "So, are you a snake transformed? I always like you."
Harry sighed disappointed and said, "I am not a snake. Over, do you know about the secret room?"
"I don't know, I'm not interested." Overwhelmed Harry's arms tighter, "It's so cold, you're so warm..."
"Can you get off me?" Harry said with a dark face.
"Oh, okay." Harry seemed to hear the deep loss in Overver's tone, "Can you send me back? I'm afraid I'll freeze into popsicles outside."
"You can consider it." Harry nodded.
He said to Ron, who had wide eyes and curious, "It said Fry doesn't know the snake accent, and he doesn't know the secret room."
"Okay." Ron shrugged, then curiously said, "What does it feel like to talk to a snake?"
Harry said uncertainly: "It doesn't feel anything, it's normal."
"Oh—" Ron said lengthening his tone.
They walked towards the Gryffindor Common Room and heard the screams and noises coming from the foyer. The two looked at each other and quietly approached the foyer.
There were a group of little wizards around there, and there were also several professors, where they stuffed Crab and Gol into the cabinet.
"What's going on? They're found?" Harry said in confusion.
"I don't know, go and take a look." Ron pulled him closer to the crowd.
They saw several professors discussing something with a serious face. Dumbledore's expression was unprecedentedly serious. Snape stood aside, with an extremely gloomy expression.
A big guy was lying on the ground, as if dead, and Harry saw that it was Crabbe. Gal was hiding barefoot on the side and shivering.
"I know that he, our college, Vincent Crabb, is pure blood." A tall and thin Slytherin student whispered, "Poor guy, is he dead?"
Harry and Ron looked at each other and felt like their hearts were about to be frozen.
"Is there something wrong with our potion?" Ron swallowed his saliva with difficulty. "We poisoned him?"
"Impossible, Goll is fine. We are using the same bottle of hypnosis!" Harry whispered.
"Ahhh, big guy! I'm leaving, scar head!" Over said happily, slid off his arm and swam on Goll, scaring him to the point of flicking.
Harry was absent-minded and ignored Overwhelmed. Ron pulled him away from the scene quickly.
The surrounding wizards were soon ordered by the professors to return to their respective public lounges. Several professors gathered around Crab and discussed with serious expressions.
"Is it confirmed that it's another soul-leaving incident? Dumbledore?" Professor McGonagall's tone trembled slightly.
"Yes, I can't be wrong." Dumbledore frowned.
Snape looked at Goll, who was trembling on the side, and said in a gentle tone: "Goll, tell me your experience."
Goer stammered and explained the story.
Snape's eyes seemed to be looking at a giant monster, and he slowly said, "Why do you still dare to stuff it into your mouth when you see suspicious food? The mice in the ditch are not so stupid."
Gole drooped his head.
Snape glanced at the two pairs of shoes that were thrown around and said solemnly: "Someone got them faint for some purpose. I detected the hypnotics from Crab, but it was just the most common hypnotics..."
"It's the same again, there's no common ground, Albus..." Professor McGonagall said hesitantly, "Is that thing just a random target attack?"
"No, they must have some connection." Dumbledore pondered, "maybe they were exposed to something..."
"What exactly should I do, Albus?"
"I don't know what made them the target, but they have one thing in common, that is, they are all in a state of weakness that cannot resist..." Dumbledore's eyes shone brightly.
"Colin Clivie fell asleep because of a severe cold that night because of a severe cold. Fred Weasley had signs of being hit on the back of his neck. Obviously, he was indeed knocked out that day; Vincent Crabb was stunned by someone using hypnotics..."
"That thing is not strong, Minerva," said Dumbledore, "it can only attack those who are not prepared."
"This way, it's not difficult to prevent. I will cast a little spell on some gadgets." Dumbledore said slowly, "Distribute it to everyone after Christmas. Minerva, let's arrange it."
"Okay." Professor McGonagall nodded.

Brian pondered, while Draco was whining aside.
"What? Are you saying that those two were not Crab and Goll just now?" Draco raised his tone with surprise.
"Yes, I thought you should be keen to discover it." Brian said helplessly, "They have many flaws."
Draco said with a slightly red face: "I didn't think about that, I just thought they were a little weird... who made them so stupid..."
"Why don't you expose them?"
"That's useless, Draco." Brian shook his head, "they were obviously in the secret room and even suspected us. Why not give them some news."
"What you said is true? Will that silly Hager be Slytherin's heir?" Draco looked suspicious.
"I don't know if it's true, but the school's conclusion was him." Brian raised the corners of his mouth slightly.
"But obviously, the school needed only a scapegoat at that time, and it didn't matter who it was." Brian whispered, "the most important thing is that after Hager was expelled, no one was attacked again."
"Okay." Draco muttered, "maybe I can ask my dad to find someone to catch the big silly man into Azkaban."
At this time, several students walked into the lounge together. They surrounded Goer in the middle and asked him various questions.
"What's wrong? Gole is famous?" Draco raised his eyebrows, "Don't tell me they were stripped naked and hung in the hall..."
Gole sat in the armchair next to them and said in a daze: "Crab...he was attacked!"
"What!" Draco bounced up and stared at Gole with a fierce look.
Brian also sat upright, staring at him and said, "Gower, tell us what happened?"
They listened to Gole stammering and repeating the incident, Draco was so anxious that he paled his face.
"How could he be attacked?" Draco said, "No, he was not petrified and did not die. It shouldn't be an attack..."
"The professor said he fainted from illness." Goll touched his head slowly. Overcooked out of his pocket and went back to the fireplace to burn the fire.
"Huh, you didn't say it earlier!" Draco threw himself into the armchair. "I just said, unless the heir went crazy, how could he attack pureblood?" Obviously he did not realize the seriousness of the matter.
"Let's go see him tomorrow." Brian said thoughtfully.
