Chapter 18 Showdown

There is actually another secret room hidden here!

Brian looked around.

This is a huge circular room, which looks empty. The green light like water waves lingers around it, making it less dark.

There are countless snake sculptures carved on the four walls of the room. Their emerald eyes are shining with green light, adding some horror and treacherous here.

There are traces of huge snake crawling at the edge of the room, and Brian understands that the snake monster usually lives here.

In the middle of the circular room, a high round altar stands, made of black and green stones, surrounded by rotating stone steps leading directly above the altar.

Brian moved up the first step along the rotating stone steps, and the sound of footsteps echoed emptyly around him.

Finally, he reached the end of the stone steps, with two small round platforms in front, and behind it was an ancient stone wall, with a line of words engraved in snake text on the stone wall.

Brian walked to the nearest larger round platform, which was a model of a castle, with countless small parts changing anytime and anywhere.

Brian recognized it at a glance. This is Hogwarts' model!

He could see the main castle building, the towers of Ravenclaw, astronomical towers, greenhouses, stadiums and other buildings, the lakes in the grounds, and the cottages of Hagwarts. Those small parts that were constantly changing are stairs that always changed positions in Hogwarts, alternate secret passages, and open and closed doors and windows.

The model is extremely delicate, and even all the hanging paintings are perfectly restored. When Brian turned his eyes to a location, it was enlarged in front of him. He could see the portraits moving, and even see Felch and Mrs. Loris who were patrolling the night!

Brian pursed his lips, and he turned his eyes toward the principal's office, which magnified in front of him. A white-haired and white-bearded man sat in the armchair at the desk and napped, a golden-red bird stood on the high perch and combed his feathers. The old principals in the portrait were snoring.

He looked at his dormitory, but there were only three people's names, and no specific images were displayed. This was true for all other dormitories.

"Real-time monitoring?" Brian opened his eyes wide. As for the special circumstances in the dormitory, Brian could understand it.

Everything in the castle appeared before him, except for the black magic defense art classroom and office. There was a thick black and red fog that looked evil and ominous.

"So, this should be the curse Voldemort issued to this position?" Brian pondered. He followed the black and red traces and found Lockhart's office.

The villain representing Lockhart was sitting at the desk and writing quickly, with the same thick fog wrapped around his body.

"It seems that this castle model has a lot to do with the actual castle." Brian sighed.

"Voldemort should have used this model as a medium to curse," he analyzed, "this is clear."

You must know that curses require medium, and more importantly, clear and clear goals. He has always been curious about how Voldemort cursed a position, and the scope of this curse is too wide.

If a model that is closely related to the castle is used as a medium, it can be understood.

"But why are there Hogwarts models here?" Brian pondered and tried to move it. Unfortunately, it didn't move at all.

"What a pity, it would be great if it was something like the Live Spot Map." Brian shook his head regretfully.

He walked to another smaller round platform with only a diamond groove on it. It was facing the passage of the snake language written on the stone wall.

Brian twitched the corners of his mouth, but he couldn't understand the snake text.

"It seems that you have to talk to Tom Riddle." He said softly.

"Ika, send me back." Brian took a last look at the place and disappeared.

After instructing Ika not to tell anyone about tonight, Brian returned to the dormitory. Sleep came and he fell asleep quickly.

When he woke up the next day, Brian caught a cold. His already pale skin was even whiter and almost transparent at this time. He touched his forehead and had a fever.

"Sure enough, Tom's possession is still harmful." Brian knew the reason for his cold. When he was possessed, he keenly realized that part of his vitality had been swallowed by Tom. Fortunately, there was only one point, probably a serious cold.

Brian sneezes and asks Draco to ask for leave for him.

He arranged a bottle of cold potion in his dormitory, and after drinking it, he fell asleep until the night. When he woke up, the cold was almost healed, but he was hungry.

Brian came to the common room, and the little wizards were doing their homework. Daphne whispered with some concern: "Bryan, are you okay?"

"It's just a cold, it's much better." Brian smiled.

"That's good, I've brought you dinner." Daphne handed over a bag of sandwiches, small cakes and pumpkin porridge, and her smile was bright and gentle.

"Thank you, Daphne. I'm hungry." Brian smiled and took it. He took out a sandwich and stuffed it into his mouth.

"I guess Draco and the others couldn't think of this." Daphne said reservedly.

In the next two weeks, time passed quietly.

Brian took classes normally, practicing potions with Professor Snape twice a week, and the rest of the night was to practice spells and learn alchemy at the Bill House for the request.

His forgetting spell has made significant progress. A few days ago, he released the silver snake Over, and it is currently getting along well with Draco, which makes Brees hide away from them recently. Before he can get out of his psychological shadow, he shivered when he sees the snake.

His alchemy can only be taught by himself at present, and now he is able to skillfully make some relatively simple single-effect alchemy items.

As for Tom's diary, he hasn't chatted with him in the past two weeks. Brian decided to hang him out for a few more days.

These days, he also received a letter from Hermione again. Because of the impulsive instigation of trouble, the little witch ignored him for a long time.

"Sorry, Brian. I'm not angry. You did help me that day, and I'm very grateful. I just don't know how to tell you, and Ron is still angry.

"I apologize for what Ron said that day, and he recently realized that he shouldn't say that. But to be honest, you shouldn't have done it directly that day. This is irrational and will only intensify the conflict.

"I think the dispute between the two academies is even more serious than I thought. We both need some time to calm down and think about a way out..."

It seems that the little witch finally realized this difficult-to-resolve conflict of ideas, and she was shaken by her naive thoughts.

Brian wrote in his reply:

"Thank you for your letter, Hermione.

"I was really impulsive that day. I was very angry that he involved my family. Now I think there was indeed a better solution at that time, but I chose the most unsolvable solution.

"I apologize to Weasley for this, but in fact, I also hope that he can calm down and see a deeper nature, rather than just taking his imagination as a fact.

"The two academies have a long conflict of ideas. They existed when the school was founded. They have lasted for thousands of years. Combined with the current situation in the wizarding world, they cannot be solved casually.

"I think we are still young now and have every time to find and try better solutions..."

The relationship between the two people has returned to its original state, but in the learning exchanges, Brian is now guiding Hermione more. Of course, the little witch's knowledge reserves are still very wide, and she can always put forward different ideas, which greatly inspires Brian.

By the time Brian finally remembered Tom's diary, it was already late October.

Brian pulled out the ragged diary from his bag at the bottom of the box, and when he wrote the first greeting, Tom couldn't wait to reply to the message.

"Brian, you haven't talked to me recently. Has something happened?"

Brian did not reply to the message directly, but evaluated the intensity of Tom's influence on him. Tom did become stronger, but fortunately it was just a little bit. Even if Tom had some power hidden, it would not affect him.

"Tom, I feel something is wrong." Brian worked his brain closure with all his strength and wrote.

"What's wrong?"

"I was drowsy after chatting with you that night," Brian wrote in contemplation, "The next day I woke up from bed, caught a severe cold, and found that I had completely forgotten how I returned to the dormitory at night."

"You were really in a bad mood that day, and I was worried about you at that time," Tom comforted with understanding. "I don't know what happened later, but I think, either you fainted there and were sent back to the bed by someone. Or you went back by yourself, but you were dizzy and had no impression."

Brian was silent, looking at Tom and then wrote: "I have had this happen to me before, so don't worry too much. But I think you are really sick. Have you ever gone to the school hospital for a check-up?"

"I didn't go," Brian wrote.

"Then you'd better go and have a look," Tom said concerned, "Or, you can tell me more about your concerns. I'm willing to share your worries, after all, you are my only friend."

"I think, you know why, don't you?" Brian narrowed his eyes, not planning to continue playing with Tom.

"Why do you think I'll know?" Tom asked back.

"I had a little impression that night," Bryan wrote beautifully, "I seemed to see my body moving and then go to a very unusual place."

Tom was silent for a while, and some handwriting appeared on his notebook: "You probably dreamed, or have you ever had any sleepwalking experience?"

"No, that's not sleepwalking, but another person occupied my body and started acting without permission. Tom, it's you..."

"Bryan, I'm just a diary and has no power." Tom's rebuttal seemed a little powerless. "To occupy a human body, it may be a very powerful black magic item. Who would make a ragged diary into a powerful item?"

"But that's all you said, Tom, you only know whether it's true or not." Brian wrote, "so I'm trying to find the answers from books these days."
