Chapter Eight(1/2)
"I traveled west for a total of 19 years, traveling 50,000 miles. After returning to Chang'an, with the support of Emperor Taizong and His Majesty, I summoned the monks of the great temple to form a translation site. After 19 years, I worked hard to translate 75 Buddhist scriptures, including 1,335 volumes and 1,330 million words...
I returned the wish made in front of the Buddha back then.
I have no regrets when I was a Buddha in this life.
Only the promise owed Gaochang's king…”
Master Xuanzang's throat squirmed slightly.
He stretched out his trembling hand and groped beside him.
The walker flashed and stepped forward to pick up a package for him.
The package opened and there were several scrolls of scriptures emitting the ink fragrance.
Xuanzang held it in his hands, held it with both hands and handed it to Su Dawei: "This is the "Records of the Western Regions of the Great Tang Dynasty" written by me through Bian Ji and others. In the future... If you have the chance in the future, please give it to the descendants of Gaochang Kingdom, with the thought of being the whole monk."
"yes."
Su Dawei looked solemn, took it with both hands, and whispered: "Receive the law."
In 1981, the fragment of "Records of the Western Regions of the Tang Dynasty" was unearthed at the Grotto Temple in Tuyugou Township, Shanshan County, Xinjiang.
This is what Su Da gave the "Records of the Western Regions of the Great Tang Dynasty" to the descendants of Qu Zhichen, in order to fulfill Master Xuanzang's last wish.
Later, during the Anshi Rebellion, Qu fled back to Gaochang's old land in order to avoid disaster and buried the original "Records of the Western Regions of the Tang Dynasty".
This is another story.
Looking at the "Records of the Western Regions of the Tang Dynasty", there is no record of the Gaochang Kingdom.
However, Master Xuanzang's disciples at Dacien Temple, Yanqi, Tang Hui and others wrote another book written by Xuanzang, "Biography of Master Tripitaka in Dacien Temple", which records this matter based on what Xuanzang usually mentioned.
Su Dawei took over the "Records of the Western Regions of the Great Tang Dynasty" and asked Xuanzang: "Does the master have any other instructions?"
Xuanzang shook his head.
Su Dawei thought about it and asked again: "Does the mage have anything else to say?"
Xuanzang also shook his head.
Su Dawei then stood up, bowed to Xuanzang three times, turned around and left, and never looked back.
He had said all of this, he was not a weak person, and he did not want to show his sadness to Master Xuanzang.
Watching Su Dawei gradually drift away, the traveler turned to look at Xuanzang.
Xuanzang lit the rosary and said, "Shi Pantuo, after I pass away, you will return to your hometown..."
"Master!"
The walker knelt down with tears in his eyes.
The first year of Linde in the Tang Dynasty, the first month.
Xuanzang passed away in Yuhua Palace.
Afterwards, the traveler disappeared.
In February, more than one million people in the court and the country were buried in the funeral of Xuanzang's spiritual bones and buried in Bailuyuan.
At the end of the Tang Dynasty, the world was in chaos, and the monks of the temple protected Xuanzang's spiritual bones and went to Zige Temple in Zhongnan Mountain for burial.
By the first year of Duangong in the Song Dynasty of Zhaoning, the abbot of Tianxi Temple in Jinling came here to the mountain. In the dangerous pagoda of the abandoned temple, Xuanzang found the head bones of Master Xuanzang.
Then he personally carried it thousands of miles away and welcomed it back to Jinling Qianxi Temple to worship.
In the 19th year of Hongwu in the Ming Dynasty, monk Shouren and lay Buddhists moved the monk's pendant from the Qianxi Temple to Nangang and built the Sanzang Pagoda to the rest of the temple.
In the sixth year of Xianfeng in the Qing Dynasty, the temple was destroyed by war.
The Jiangnan Jinling Machinery Manufacturing Bureau was built here at the end of the Qing Dynasty.
The Republic of China was changed to the Jinling Arsenal.
In 1943, during construction, the Japanese army invaded Nanjing excavated a stone chamber of the head bone of Master Xuanzang from the Sanzang Pagoda site.
Later, under public pressure, the Japanese side divided the parietal bone into three parts.
This is a later story.
...
Su Dawei left Yuhua Palace with tears in his eyes.
It cannot describe the feeling in my heart.
He originally thought that he had cultivated to a strong enough state of mind.
If you can encounter Mount Tai collapse, your beauty will not change.
Can encounter thunder and have calmness.
But the moment I faced Master Xuanzang just now, the emotions and sorrow that surged in my heart were almost uncontrollable.
Maybe that is love.
Both teachers and friends, a generation of eminent monks finally settled like the setting sun.
Time is so ruthless, perhaps one day I will become as old as Xuanzang, and perhaps I will have that day.
But the mage.
In the future, I, Su Dawei, will go where to listen to your teachings?
Ding ~
A bell sounded from Yuhua Palace.
The lingering sound echoes between heaven and earth.
Facing the sunset of heaven and earth.
A huge sense of loneliness suddenly surged in Su Dawei's heart.
He couldn't help but whistle to the sky.
Longzi heard the sound of the sound, and came out of the mountains and fields, rubbing his head against Su Dawei desperately.
Su Dawei turned over.
He shouted: "Longzi, run, I'm going to Kunming Lake, I'm going to meet the county duke!"
Lonely.
Unspeakable loneliness.
In this world, there is one less person who can talk to you happily.
In the future, there will be fewer and fewer.
Sigh ~
The dragon roared and let go of his four hooves, running towards the distance like a rushing lightning.
Su Dawei, who was riding on the back of Long Zi, suddenly felt a strange feeling.
He lay on Longzi's back and looked back.
I wonder if this look can see the travelers and mages in Yuhua Palace again.
"Maybe, one day, I will become history."
...
"Mr. Duke, do you know that I miss you so much!"
"Ami, are you drunk?"
Mr. Li, who was fishing by the Kunming pond, watched the sunset, running wildly, and standing in front of him.
Seeing Su Dawei jumping from above and suddenly said something inexplicable to him, his hair stood up and he said sternly: "Are you Ami or who pretends to be? That brat Ami won't say such stingy words."
"It's me!"
Su Dawei smiled bitterly and said, "I just met an elder, and he... was about to pass away."
"You are talking about Xuanzang, right?"
"Monday, do you know?"
"Haha, this Chang'an City is hundreds of miles in a radius, and I don't know what I don't know."
Mr. Li smiled complacently, shook his wrist, and a big fish jumped out of the water with his fishing rod.
"I have it, I have the food tonight."
"Monday Duke."
Su Dawei suddenly came up and stretched out his arms to give him a bear hug.
"I feel a little uncomfortable."
"You little cunning head..."
To be continued...
