Chapter 236 Strategic Flickering Bureau

When the Military Intelligence Bureau and Stasi were reorganized into the Imperial Central Security Bureau, three departments were separated from them and directly under the General Staff.●⌒, they are:

1. Miuta Special Forces, which was classified as the Air Force led by General Kesselin Air Force and became the backbone of the proposed airborne troops;

2. Intelligence Research Department, which is engaged in the analysis and research of foreign military situations. After being classified as the General Staff, it was reorganized into the Military Intelligence Department;

3. Strategic Deception Department, this department was led by Lieutenant Colonel Reinhardt Galen, a spy wizard who was "discovered" by Hessman himself. When the Military Intelligence Bureau and Stacey were reorganized, this department was also included in the General Staff as a whole, and was also expanded, upgrading from the Strategic Deception Department to a Strategic Deception!

Of course, Lieutenant Colonel Reinhardt Galen, the "department director" of the strategic deception, does not work on the radio himself to fool people. He has many things in charge, including 7 departments and 1 central command post.

Among them, seven departments are responsible for strategic deception work in seven aspects, including the navy, the army, the air force, the military industry, strategic material reserves, secret weapons and military communications. The central command post is responsible for "large-scale comprehensive deception projects", which is a big scam that can be carefully arranged by using all aspects of strength.

This time the emperor's crowning parade was organized by this central command post.

That's right, this military parade is actually a big scam. In fact, most public military parades have strategic deception elements, and no country will put its true military strength in front of outsiders.

What was shown in the military parade was just what the General Staff of various countries wanted others to see.

When Hessmann and Schletcher arrived at the airport, as the deputy commander-in-chief of the military parade headquarters, he had a very tall and wide forehead, which looked a bit scholarly, as if he was a scholar. Garen was explaining the flight route to several air force school officials at a military airport outside Berlin.

"Remember, it's not one lap, but five laps! Fly repeatedly according to the flight route during rehearsal... that is, do not land after flying back, and then fly according to the prescribed route. Fly five times in total before landing. You must not make mistakes. Do you know?"

"Report to the Marshal, General," Reinhardt Garen reported to Hessman and Schletcher after confirming that several Air Force captains understood the flight route. "The flight route was carefully designed to allow the 'friendly people' who watched the parade to mistakenly think that we had sent five times the actual number of aircraft to the parade. In this way, they would leave a very deep impression on the powerful German heavy bomber force."

Of course, these heavy bombers that impressed Britain, France and Poland are also the products of strategic deception. Of course, the aircraft are real. They are new four-engine heavy bombers developed since the early 1930s at the suggestion of Air Force Chief of Staff Val T. Weaver. They are used to replace the famous J.28h (the "BT Express" BT-1 heavy bomber used by the Soviets to scare the Japanese).

According to the Air Force's requirements, the new heavy bomber should be able to carry at least 5 tons of bombs from Germany to bomb the British Isle and the entire French territory!

In other words, the effective combat radius of the new heavy bomber of the Luftwaffe must be higher than 1,000 kilometers. In order to effectively break through the air defense of Britain and France, the new heavy bomber also needs to have night navigation capabilities and high-altitude bomber capabilities to "high altitude" and "night navigation" two performance requirements are to avoid ground firepower and enemy aircraft interception.

This is related to the "bombing deterrence strategy" that the Luftwaffe was adhered to before breaking through the Treaty of Versailles. At that time, the German army had weak forces and could only adopt a hysteresis strategy against the enemies that were in full-scale invading. In this case, Germany's only self-defense method was to use long-range bombers to bomb the enemy's big cities in an indiscriminate manner to force them to seek peace.

Of course, this is just a theoretical "self-defense method". However, it was very popular in the late 1920s and early 1930s. At that time, Italian general Du Hei proposed the "Air Force Winning Theory", believing that in the future, the army would be trapped in trench defense lines and rely on the air force to bomb enemy cities to win.

The "BT visit incident" between the Soviet Union and Japan in 1928 made all countries realize the importance of strategic bombing. Therefore, the "bombing deterrence strategy" was continued by the German army until Germany resumed its arms.

In 1932, after Germany resumed its arms, the Luftwaffe felt that the performance of the j.28 was lagging behind and the upgrade space was limited, so it needed to develop new bombers to ensure the continued implementation of the "bombing deterrence strategy."

So the task of developing new heavy bombers was handed over to Folk, Junker and Donier, which were at the peak of their civil aviation field at that time.

Between 1935 and 1936, Folk, Junker and Donier successively produced their respective design products, Folk F.36, Junker's Ju.89 and Donier's Do.19.

However, the Fokker F.36, which has the best performance, did not appear during this parade. This model uses a single wing, double vertical tail, and a first three-point landing gear layout, has a solid fuselage and strong self-defense firepower, and is equipped with 4 BMW700 series engines that use turbocharged technology. It can handle high-altitude bombing missions. It is actually the real winner of the "new heavy bomber tender". It got the most orders.

In order to meet the "high-altitude performance" required by the Air Force, Juncker and Donier chose Yumo's liquid-cooled engines, which are not very outstanding. The result is that the air weight and take-off weight of the ju.89 and do.19 are far inferior to the Folk F.36, which has installed a turbocharged air-cooled engine.

However, ju.89 and do.19 still received 30 orders respectively, and all 60 ju.89 and do.19 have been delivered to the Luftwaffe, and they will all participate in today's military parade.

In addition to these 60 new heavy bombers, there are another 100 j.28h that will also appear over Berlin. 160 aircraft will rotate five times in Berlin air and fly out the momentum of 800 aircraft.

The reason for exaggerating the size of the ju.89 and do.19 fleets is to implement a "strategic deception plan" aimed at Britain, France and Poland.

The plan is to convince the German enemy that Germany will use thousands of four-engine heavy bombers such as Ju.89, Do.19 and J.28h to win the final victory of the war.

This seems very conceivable, because the Keynes Plan and the expanded Soviet-German cooperation have allowed the production capacity of German aviation industry, especially civil passenger aircraft and transport aircraft, to be far stronger than in history. Until 1935, five major German aviation manufacturing giants, including Folk, Juncker, Henkel, Folk Wolf and Donier, maintained their lead in the 1920s, and still controlled 70% to 80% of the world's civil aviation market except the United States and the Soviet Union.

In the field of medium-sized and heavy bombers based on civil passenger aircraft/transport aircraft, Germany also has greater advantages over Britain and France!

"Very good!" Hessman looked at the apron outside the window, one after another, as if he was out of sight, and nodded with satisfaction. "This is exactly what I want. We want them to know that we have many large aircraft that can be used to bomb London, Paris and Warsaw, which will scare them. And to enhance the effect of intimidation, we can also use ju.89 and do.19 on the Spanish battlefield."

"But will our actions make the enemy accelerate the development of advanced fighter jets?" Schletcher was a little worried.

"They have accelerated!" Hessman smiled, "British and France have begun to accelerate their research. However, the air-optimal fighters they studied cannot deal with our heavy bombers. Because according to the concept we instilled in them, these heavy bombers are targeting their big cities. Therefore, these large aircraft do not have to attack during the day. They can use the cover of night to bomb Paris, London, Warsaw... so that the British, French and Poles need to develop night fighters. And these night fighters will eventually become a huge waste!"

Night air combat in this era is very difficult because there is no light radar available. Even if an airborne radar is developed, it is not something that the B-109 or Spitfire-style aircraft can be installed. Generally, twin-engine heavy fighters are equipped with searchlights and radars to fight. This bulky twin-engine fighter has poor combat capabilities during the day and is not the opponent of flexible and light single-engine aircraft. Moreover, even if the ju.89 and do.19 may attack during the day, they will adopt high-altitude penetration methods. For this reason, Britain and France have to focus on the research and development and production of fighters on liquid-cooled routes with better high-altitude performance, thus expanding Germany's advantages on air-cooled routes.

Of course, Britain and France can also form a huge group of heavy bombers like Germany and use night air strikes to counter them. However, Hessman does not believe in Britain and France, mainly because the British really dare to easily provoke the battle to bomb the city at night without the arrival of German bombers.

Because the strategic deception would convince them that Germany had a larger and advanced heavy bomber force. Hessmann and Goering were different, and he had no hope of conquering Britain at all on bombing. He did not have so many precious pilots to fight with the British.
