Chapter 19 Abnormal Wolf Den

(Happy holidays, two updates are completed, please collect and recommend, your support is my greatest motivation)

A beam of light suddenly appeared on the edge of the dark cave. There was no sound of footsteps, no sound of falling rocks, or even the sound of clothes rubbing, but the hazy light slowly moved in the dark.

Penis was alone, walking through the narrow cave passage, but miraculously made no sound. He moved cautiously and not fast, and any suspicious sounds and smells would make him stop and observe carefully.

As we approached the end of the passage, the originally unfast speed had almost dropped to a slow level. Every time we took a step, the five senses would be used to collect all the information around us.

"Hu." Panis finally stepped out of the passage and came to a cave covered with white bones.

This is a medium-sized cave, which is not high. With the help of the light on the helmet, you can clearly see the stalactites hanging from the top of the cave. The cave is not a regular round shape. The right side has a large space, but the left side is very narrow. There are six holes distributed on the left side of the narrow cave, leading to other directions. The space on the right side of the cave is covered with white bones, and white bones of various sizes and shapes are piled together, forming a bone mountain that is nearly three meters high at a gentle angle.

Panis looked around the white bone cave without any living creatures, took out a piece of crystal as thick as a palm from his backpack, activated the fighting spirit on his fingertips, and gently tapped it twice. The faint sound of tapping was clearly heard in the quiet cave. After the tapping, he took the crystal back into his backpack, Panis bent down and put his limbs on the ground, keeping his face at a distance extremely close to the ground, crawling around, carefully collecting the smell of the air.

After a while, a serene voice sounded from the passage behind him, but Panis didn't care at all and still kept crawling, without even looking back.

When Catherine walked in, she saw the scene of Panis lying on the ground. But she was not surprised at all. She led the other three ladies into the cave, walked quickly to Panis, squatted down and tried to get close to Panis, and asked in a low voice: "Have the wolf pack left?"

Panis did not answer, and still sniffed around carefully. He raised his head until he was sure and lowered his voice: "I left two to three days ago. According to usual habits, it takes at least ten days for the wolves to go out to hunt, which is safe now. However, after the abnormal commotion of the cavemen, it is better to be careful and we will pass as soon as possible."

"Okay, then leave now?"

"No hurry." Panis stopped Catherine and swept her eyes across the cave: "Let's check it carefully first. This place is close to the River of Fire, and it is already a possible place for the Institute. Be careful. By the way, has the odor masking agent been wiped over?"

"Don't worry, everyone has carefully wiped it." Catherine nodded.

"That's good, but I still need to strengthen it." Panis took out a bottle of potion, applied it evenly and carefully on his clothes and skin, took out a pack of powder, sprinkled it on his body, and walked towards the pile of bones: "I'll explore, you're waiting here, don't get close."

Under the gaze of the four ladies, Panis approached the pile of bones and moved step by step along the edge, staring at the ground with the light of his helmet, for fear of missing any details. Once any abnormality is found, he will lean down and stick it to the ground, smell it with his nose and ears, and even stick out his tongue and lick it once or twice, regardless of the dirtyness of the ground.

"No underground." After the last time, the fighting spirit was activated to hit the ground, and then close the ear and listened carefully, Panis raised his head and shouted softly: "The wall was searched when it came before, and there was no abnormality. I'll go up and look at the top of my head."

"Be careful of everything." Catherine gave a worried instructor.

"Don't worry, you won't be trapped here in the end because of losing the explorer." Panis answered rudely without looking back, walked to the rock wall of the cave, lying on the wall, using hands and feet, wandering on the surface of the rock wall like a spider. After a while, it turned into a back downward and pressing upward on the top of the cave.

Even if it became this position, Panis did not have any signs of falling off. He maintained his flexibility and explored every rock and every stalactite on the top of the cave. But at the end, he still jumped down with regret and shook his head and walked back to the four ladies: "Let's go, you should be able to rule out this place, at least my ability has not found the entrance here."

Katherine could still keep smiling without regrets: "It's normal. If I could find the entrance so simple, I would be surprised and disappointed. Let's go and continue to the next place."

"Here." Panis took the lead in walking to the larger of the six holes: "The River of Fire is ahead, and you can take a break when you get there."

"How are you?" Catherine asked with concern: "The fracture area that Lina just treated you, but there will always be four or five days to not be able to exert force. Is there any problem?"

Since Rachel got up in the morning, she chose to follow the adventure team instead of staying at the place where she rested last night to recover. After waiting for the four of them to return and pick her up, she fell into silence, keeping her head down and wondering what she was thinking, and occasionally showed a sad expression on her face. When she heard Catherine ask her, she woke up and replied as if she was dreaming: "No problem. Although she can't exert force, she still has no problem with ordinary movement. I am a gunman, and even if my legs cannot exert force, it will not affect my combat effectiveness. Don't worry."

"Where is your gun? I see that your backpack is lost. Is your weapon still there?" The girls from the adventure group who have not cooperated with the gunman did not know much, but Panis, who has been in contact with various adventurers, is very familiar with the gunman. He turned to the entrance of the hole and asked her: "There should be only a short gun left."

"Yes, two." Rachel took out a small crystal gun from a mezzanine on the right side of the leather armor, opened the magic circle peeping hole on the right side of the handle, and pushed it back: "It can fire the last thirty times."

"Is this the one that fires the crystal? "Pennis frowned: "Didn't the one that fires the physical shot?"

Rachel took out another crystal gun as small as the one from her boots, opened the peeping hole on the right side of the handle and checked it, and then opened the bullet cabin on the left side of the handle to count: "It can fire thirty-six times, but there are only ten physical bullets."

"What about the power?"

Rachel made his head and replied embarrassedly: "It's still fatal to bronze-level monsters, but it has no effect on silver-level monsters."

Panis frowned and thought for a while, took out a small leather bag from his backpack and handed it to Rachel: "You can use this first, the silver-level crystal spear, just like your strength can be used. Although it cannot break the defense against the golden-level enemies, it can be considered as self-protection here. This gun can manually adjust between crystal energy bullets and physical bullets."

Rachel's eyes lit up. He opened the leather bag, skillfully assembled the parts in the bag, forming a half-meter-long crystal source rifle, and counted the special-specified charging crystals, sighing with regret: "It's a pity that there are only three, it seems that they need to save money."

"It's okay." Vivian relieved her regret without caring: "When I rest at night, I will help you cut a few more pieces. Although I dare not do crystal synthesis in this environment, there is no problem with simple cutting, and I also bring tools."

"Thank you so much." Rachel bowed and expressed her gratitude, and used the fighting spirit to activate the crystal gun's excitation array: "It's great, it just applies to the silver-level fighting spirit."

"Let's go." Panis took the lead in entering the passage: "It's time to go to the River of Fire."

Catherine followed the team at the end of the team and looked at Panis's back with curiosity: "Are you ready for something like a crystal gun?"

"I used it when I played Gunner before. Anyway, as long as the level of fighting spirit matches, you can fire." Panis was at the forefront of the team, exploring while leading the way, and answered casually.

"Arrowman, Crystal Gunner, Explorer." Catherine showed a meaningful smile: "Are you really just a silver-level pro at the same time as you show?"

"Can you see it? Believe in your eyes." Panis answered indifferently.

No one spoke again, and in silence, the five people walked along the long passage for ten minutes. Panis pointed to the front and said, "Turn the corner ahead and you will reach the River of Fire. Now you should feel the heat."

"Yes." Lina still maintained her elegant temperament, and even maintained her court etiquette when she was on the way: "Can I use ice-attribute crystals now?"

"Never use ice-attribute crystals near the River of Fire, nor ice magic, as there will be big trouble."

Vivian secretly stuck out her tongue, took back the ice-attribute crystal that had been held in her hand, and wiped the sweat from her face.

"Shh, silent." Panis suddenly stopped, waved his hand with a serious face, and sniffed it carefully in the air: "It's so dangerous, you can speak, but whisper."

"The wolf pack is back?" Katherine lowered her voice.

"Yeah, fortunately we left early." Panis continued to move forward and said in confusion: "It's strange to come down this time. Whether it's cavemen or wolves, they have disrupted their habits."

"When I met the caveman, Nicole said that there are traces of spiritual magic, which should be artificial." When talking about his deceased teammate, Rachel's voice was still difficult.

"It's meaningless to do this." Panis doesn't like this confusing situation: "Anyway, be careful at any time. But we are very lucky to leave before the pack comes back, and hide our own scent. They are not discovered by the pack, and they show no signs of moving towards this side."
