Chapter 338 Industrial Achievements (4)

The altitude of the aircraft is constantly decreasing. On the one hand, Zheng Zongming should pay attention to the flight altitude; on the other hand, he should also control the speed, and at the same time he should pay attention to the position of the runway to keep the plane's flight direction consistent with the runway. Therefore, both hands are performing extremely subtle operations. The ground command tower is also constantly telling Zheng Zongming about the relationship between the position of the aircraft and the runway.

500 meters, 400 meters, 300 meters...

As the altitude decreased, Zheng Zongming had completely retracted the throttle to the starting position. In fact, the power of the aircraft had been completely closed at this time. However, due to the huge inertia generated by landing, the aircraft still maintained a high speed of about 130 yards. However, the direction was basically aimed at the runway, the flaps of the main wing were completely retracted, and the tail wing was tilted sideways in the opposite direction. Zheng Zongming's left hand had left the throttle, holding the operating lever with both hands, and trying his best to maintain his current flight state.

At this time, on the ground, the tower could see the plane landing from the air very clearly. Many people held their breath and waited for the plane to land.

Zheng Zongming was also watching the ground scene getting bigger and bigger in the cab, and the front of the plane was steadily aimed at the center line of the runway. Therefore, Zheng Zongming felt a little relieved. In this state, landing should not be too big. Of course, there were variables before the plane landed on the ground, and Zheng Zongming did not dare to relax at all.

At this moment, Zheng Zongming felt that the plane was shocked suddenly, as if it had encountered a huge impact. Although it was wearing a seat belt, Zheng Zongming still bumped violently several times, and the body also made a "great" sound. Zheng Zongming knew that the wheel had hit the ground, but fortunately his hand was still firmly grasping the operating rod, and the direction of the plane did not change. Therefore, Zheng Zongming felt more at ease and immediately pulled the paddle rod.

At this time, all three wheels of the plane had landed, but the speed of the plane was still around 120 yards, so it was not possible to stop immediately. However, it slid hundreds of meters on the runway, and the speed became slower and slower. Finally, it stopped at 800 meters. The crowd of visitors burst out with thunderous cheers to celebrate the successful test flight.

Liu Guangqing finally breathed a sigh of relief in the tower. He took off the hat on his head and found that his hands were covered with sweat on his forehead. However, the test flight was finally successful, which also meant that the East China government took the first step to fly into the sky. He not only witnessed this historical moment, but also will be recorded in this glorious history.

However, Liu Guangqing was calmer. After calming down his mind, he immediately called the Military Commission to report the successful test flight. At this time, on the runway of the plane, everyone watching was cheering and rushed to the plane. As soon as Zheng Zongming came out of the cab, he was surrounded by the crowd. People brought flowers that had been prepared early, and reporters who came to interview took photos of him. Zheng Zongming also arranged a few cool posses in great coordination.

In fact, whether the news of the aircraft's test flight has also caused some discussion. Some people think that the aircraft is a strategic weapon and should be kept confidential so that other countries can not know the technological development of the East China government; but some people oppose that people in this era have not generally realized the huge strategic value of the aircraft, and have the precedent of the successful test flight of the Wright brothers, which can greatly hedge the sensation of the successful test flight of the East China government, and appropriately publishing their own technological development is also a kind of threat. We cannot always act with the mentality of the weak. However, some people have suggested that although the Wright brothers' test flight was successful, the East China government's prototypes are more than 10 streets away from the Wright brothers. Therefore, if it is too high-profile, it may cause other countries to be vigilant and even leak the secrets of the time travelers.

It should be said that these considerations make sense. Therefore, after discussion, the Executive Yuan finally decided that if the test flight is successful, it can be reported. After all, this is the industrial achievement of the East China government. Announcing it to the public can boost the morale of the East China government; but several restrictions have been made: First, only the [New China News] is allowed to conduct exclusive reports and on-site interviews; second, only the news of the successful test flight is reported, and the details of the test flight, the situation of the aircraft, the relevant parameters, etc. must not be reported, so that other countries cannot infer the level of scientific and technological development of the East China government; third, photos of the test pilots and staff can be published, but clear photos of the aircraft are not allowed to be published to prevent imitation of other countries. In the end, two photos of the aircraft flying in the air were selected, and only a general image can be seen, but the details of the aircraft cannot be seen, so that it cannot be imitated.

After the test flight, the project team immediately conducted a comprehensive inspection of the aircraft. Zheng Zongming, Wang Xinping, Liu Guangqing and other relevant personnel were also writing summary reports and inputting the radar-tracked flight trajectory into the computer for calculations to prepare for the next step of research and development. Returned people also received the course education arranged by the East China government with peace of mind, and looked forward to starting their work in the East China government as soon as possible.

At this moment, the fleet responsible for reconnaissance of Vladivostok finally returned to Qingdao. This reconnaissance mission took a total of 32 days. Not only did it complete the reconnaissance mission from Vladivostok to Shuangchengzi, but it also made a local tribe. On the way back and forth, it also conducted a comprehensive survey of the west coast of Japan and the waters of Tsuma Strait, so it can be regarded as an excess completion of the mission.

On March 28, a fleet composed of Kunming ships and Huaihua ships sailed into Jiaozhou Bay. At this moment, the Kunming ship received an order from the Navy. It turned out that the People's Army Navy was carrying out a submarine trial mission in the waters of Jiaozhou Bay, requiring the Kunming ship to participate in this mission, open the sonar of the bow of the ship, and monitor the whereabouts of the submarine. On the bridge of the Kunming ship, the shadow of the three warships, Sanya, Qingzhou and Yizhou, were also seen from afar.

Manufacturing submarines is a key project established after the official establishment of Qingdao Shipyard. Its grade is still above the Qingzhou-class protective cruiser and is on par with battleships. Moreover, the submarines were completely built independently by the East China government and did not allow German engineering and technical personnel to participate. Of course, Germany did not have much experience in submarine manufacturing at this time, and in fact, it was impossible to help much.

However, due to the lack of technical workers, the research and development and manufacturing of submarines progressed very slowly at the beginning. At first, only a wooden iron-shelled submarine was built, and there was no power installed. Instead, it was towed by surface ships to sea to test.

However, after the completion of the two self-built Qingzhou-class protective cruisers, some experienced technical workers were drawn to support the construction of the submarine, which greatly accelerated the research and development and manufacturing of the submarines, and successively built two small experimental submarines with a displacement of less than 300 tons. They were the second test submarine, with a displacement of 275 tons, and could dive underwater for 4 hours. A * launch tube was also installed, which could carry two **. The performance had reached the actual combat standards and accumulated a lot of data experience. Then, it began to formally design and manufacture practical submarines.

The construction of submarines is a ship type, rather than the cigar or elongated water droplet type common in the old time and space. In fact, this is also the conventional submarine type before World War II. Because submarines sail underwater relied on the electric power of boat-borne batteries, but the battery technology of this era was still quite backward. The submarines can sail underwater for a short time. During World War II, the famous German U-type submarines could sail underwater for no more than 2 days at most. Moreover, because the submarines sail underwater at extremely high speeds, generally only 5-6 knots, and the fastest is no more than 10 knots. Therefore, when submarines sail normally, they sail on the water surface. Only when they enter the war zone or find enemy ships, they need to hide their whereabouts through the enemy's control of the waters.

Cigar-type or elongated water droplet type are both boat types suitable for underwater navigation, but in this era, this type of boat type does not have much value, so submarines in this era basically use ship type. Nowadays, time travelers can only obey the technical level of this era.

Although the time travelers have never designed ship-type submarines, they are not difficult because they can directly adopt mature solutions from the old time and space, and the solution adopted this time is still from Germany, that is, U-type submarines.

In fact, the U-type submarine is a general term. Because during the First and Second World Wars, the submarines used by Germany were composed of the first letter and numbers of the German untersee-boot (submarine), so the name was obtained; and in the old time and space, the U-type submarine usually refers to a series of submarines made by Germany during the Second World War, which were roughly divided into 5 models. If the improved and auxiliary models of each model were added, the total number was more than 10 models.

The model adopted by the East China government was the Vii (Type 7) submarine, which was also the most built submarine in Germany during World War II, and 3 improved models were derived, with a total of 694 ships generated.

The designed submarine is 62 meters long, 5.5 meters wide, 4 meters draft, 520 tons of water surface displacement, and 635 tons of underwater displacement. The weapons are equipped with a 75mm caliber main gun, a 50mm rapid-fire gun, 3* launch tubes, two heads of the ship and one stern of the ship, carrying a total of 6**; the power is two diesel engines, two electric motors underwater, with an estimated maximum speed of 12 knots, 6 knots underwater, and a maximum submersible depth of 100 meters, and continuous underwater navigation for 7 hours. There are 35 crew members, including 4 officers.

The new submarine was built in 1904 and the first trial was conducted in December. However, the East China government listed the development of submarines as the highest secret. After all, this is the real weapon, so not many people know it. Even if it is a time traveler, not everyone knows it.
