The thirty-eighth chapter eastward ceremony (4)
Five days later, the convoy arrived in Taiyuan. The seventh-generation Zhangjia Living Buddha and his party rested in Taiyuan for a day and did not participate in any activities. They continued to set off the next day and headed to Mount Wutai.
Wutai Mountain is also a prosperous Buddhist place, with many temples and a prosperous incense. There are many temples in Zhangjia Living Buddha in these places, including Zhenhai Temple, Pule Temple, Jifu Temple, Guanghua Temple, Cifu Temple, etc. Therefore, this is also an important stop on the way eastward of the seventh-generation Zhangjia Living Buddha.
Moreover, the seventh-generation Zhangjia Living Buddha has lived in Qinghai for 2 or 3 years and has never been to Mount Wutai. Since he came this time, he naturally cannot simply stay for a few days. Not only do he have to inspect all the temples in Xi'an, but he also has to open an oath to preach the Dharma, making it lively. Therefore, the seventh-generation Zhangjia Living Buddha also changed his low-keyness in Xi'an and Taiyuan. After coming to Zhenhai Temple in Wutai Mountain, he recruited monks from other temples to understand the situation of the temples over the past 2 or 3 years. Although these temples are the residence of Zhangjia Living Buddha, in theory, Zhangjia Living Buddha is the host monks of these temples, Zhangjia Living Buddhas in history cannot stay in these temples for a long time, so each temple has actual host managers. Zhangjia Living Buddhas usually come to inspect once every 1 or 2 years.
However, the situation this time is different from before, because Shanxi was ruled by the East China government for more than one year, and land reform and religious transformation also entered the later stages. The temples of Zhangjia Living Buddha stationed in Xi are all big and wealthy, with many temples, and the losses in religious transformation are not small. Of course, the temples are still under final calculation and inventory.
In addition, Zhangjia Living Buddha was highly treated in the Qing court, and the temples stationed in Xi also rose. Local governments naturally respected the monks in these temples. Although most monks were still able to abide by the law and ignore the civilized affairs, a few monks relied on Zhangjia Living Buddha's origin in the temples to do things that rely on power to do things that relies on power to do things that are law-abiding, and even acted as a blessing, and sometimes they were inevitably hiding dirty things. However, after the East China Government ruled Shanxi, these privileges were naturally gone. A few monks who relied on power to do things that were sentenced by the government. Even Pule Temple and Guanghua Temple were searched by the public security organs. Several criminals were arrested in the temple. Along with several monks who were sheltering and hiding criminals were also arrested by the Public Security Bureau. The monks of the two temples made profound reviews to ensure that similar things did not happen.
In fact, in ancient China, it was not a new thing for Buddhist and Taoist secting criminals, because the governments were generally more generous to monks. Of course, the Buddhist and Taoist sects only hosted ordinary criminals. Even if they had murders, they were mostly injured or impulsively killed. Major criminals, such as thieves, green forest bandits, and criminals who committed crimes such as rebellion and rebellion, did not dare to easily host them even if they were Buddhist and Taoist sects. However, some criminals were secretly devoted to the two doors of Buddhism and Taoism, borrowed their identities to hide themselves and avoid crimes. After all, the general governments did not strictly monitor, manage and monitor religious places. However, in the East China government, such situations are never allowed to happen again, and religious places are by no means distant places of refuge. If you should investigate, you must be punished if you commit a crime.
After listening to these reports, the 7th-generation Living Buddha Zhangjia was silent for a while, and then instructed the host monks of each temple to first resolutely implement the government's policies and cooperate with the government to clean up the temple property that should be confiscated according to the law. They should pay as much as they are. They should take the initiative to hand over it, and never hide or conceal it. Secondly, they should strictly restrain the monks of each temple, and must not cause any cause for trouble, strictly abide by government laws, and must not to contain illegal people. If a monk violates the government laws, he should actively cooperate with relevant government agencies to investigate and deal with them, and should not set up obstacles without reason. He also wrote a letter to the government, saying that he had not strictly supervised the temples and had a mistake. He also ordered the cleaning of the remaining industries in each temple, and to draw up a sum of money to donate them to the government to build schools.
On the second day, the seventh-generation living Buddha Zhangjia held a ritual in Zhenhai Temple, preaching and meditation. In the Dharma Hall in Zhenhai Temple, the monks of the temple were ringing bells and beating drums, Zhenhai Temple, Pule Temple, Jifu Temple, Guanghua Temple, Cifu Temple and other temples were all wearing cassocks and sitting in two seats in the Dharma Hall. Only when the chimes were ringing, two bowls of red gauze lanterns led the seventh-generation living Buddha Zhangjia ascended to the Dharma seat.
The seventh generation of Living Buddha Zhangjia arrived at the Dharma seat and first picked up the incense and praised the praise, saying, "This stick of incense, I wish my country will be safe and prosperous, and the years will be harmonious, and all people will be happy and peaceful, and all directions will be peaceful." After the blessings and praise, I sat down with the Dharma seat and began to preach and recite the Dharma.
It took more than an hour for the lecture of the seventh generation Zhangjia Living Buddha to be considered the end. Then he once again told the monks that they should devote themselves to practicing in the temple, recite scriptures and worship Buddha. They should not be greedy for the worldly world, and should also be cautious in abide by national laws and do not violate laws and regulations. Otherwise, not only national laws will not be tolerated, but Buddhist laws will also be unforgivable.
In the following days, the seventh-generation living Buddha Zhangjia inspected the temples stationed in Xi one by one. Whenever he went to a temple, he would preach to the monks in the temple, understand the situation in the temple, inspect various places of the temple, investigate the temple property, and other work.
Many believers also came to worship when they heard that the seventh-generation Zhangjia Living Buddha came to Mount Wutai, and they also came to worship. In addition, Mount Wutai is not far from Mongolia, and the seventh-generation Zhangjia Living Buddha also has a large number of believers in the Mongolian region. Since Mongolia and Shanxi are now the territory of the East China Government and can be accessed at will, many Mongolian believers also rushed to Mount Wutai to worship the Zhangjia Living Buddha.
Faced with the worship of believers, the seventh-generation Living Buddha Zhangjia naturally could not ignore it. On the one hand, he ordered the temples stationed in Xi to properly accommodate believers who came to worship, and on the other hand, he organized two public meditation preachings to satisfy the wishes of believers. Moreover, while preaching, the seventh-generation Living Buddha Zhangjia also comforted the believers with kind words, and should have good thoughts, do more good deeds in daily life, be filial to parents, treat relatives and friends well, obey government laws, respect laws and regulations, and be at peace with each other. He should not have evil thoughts or do evil deeds.
Finally, on Mount Wutai, the Seventh-generation Zhangjia Living Buddha stayed for 8 days, 2 or 3 days more than expected, and this trip to Mount Wutai ended. Fortunately, the army accompanied by escort did not have Cui Kuo. Instead, it took advantage of the stay time of these days to carry out a comprehensive maintenance of all vehicles. Therefore, when you set off again, all vehicles could basically travel in the best condition.
The next stop for the Seventh-generation Living Buddha Zhangjia is Beijing. This time, it took only 3 days to arrive in Beijing. The Seventh-generation Living Buddha and his party lived in Songzhu Temple stationed in Tsinghua. After resting for a night, he escorted the Seventh-generation Living Buddha and his party's army, and the convoy came to say goodbye to him.
Although I had not arrived in Qingdao yet, after arriving in Beijing, the convoy and military missions ended, because firstly, it was Beijing and the public security situation in the later areas was very good. Moreover, the safety of the personnel of the 7th-generation Zhangjia Living Buddha and his party was also transferred to the Beijing Municipal Government; secondly, Beijing and Qingdao have railway connections, so the personnel of the 7th-generation Zhangjia Living Buddha and his party could transfer to Qingdao by train here, so there was no need to take a car anymore. Therefore, there was no need to be protected by the army.
So after arriving in Beijing, he escorted the army, convoy and relevant institutions of the Beijing government to hand over, and then prepared to say goodbye and return to Lanzhou.
The Seventh-generation Living Buddha Zhangjia also expressed his gratitude to the army for their protection and care along the way, and gave them a lot of gifts, but the army politely declined it, which also gave the Seventh-generation Living Buddha Zhangjia a new level of understanding of the East China Government. Although there were not many troops escorted by the army, the performance along the way could be said to be strict military discipline, prohibited orders, and well-trained. Now he refuses to accept gifts, which is indeed very different from the Qing army. Therefore, the Seventh-generation Living Buddha Zhangjia had to give up, but personally sent the army out of Beijing to express his gratitude.
Beijing is also another important site for the 7th-generation Zhangjia Living Buddha. He also has to stay here for a while, probably longer than staying in Mount Wutai. Therefore, the 7th-generation Zhangjia Living Buddha sent 10 disciples to Qingdao to inform the East China Government of his itinerary. At the same time, it also depends on how the East China Government arranges his activity itinerary and residence matters in Qingdao. Qingdao is an emerging city, with few ancient temples and temples originally. Of course, there are no temples and temples in the Seventh-generation Zhangjia Living Buddha. Of course, the activities and accommodation in Qingdao must be arranged first.
In fact, the Seventh-generation Living Buddha Zhangjia is not unfamiliar with Beijing, because after he officially inherited the title of Seventh-generation Living Buddha, he lived in Beijing for nearly half a year, and only left Beijing a few years ago and settled in Qinghai. Because the Seventh-generation Living Buddha Zhangjia was a transcendent, he had many old friends in Beijing, and he had religious figures, princes and nobles, officials and ministers, merchants and celebrities. After the East China Government occupied Beijing, although a group of officials and royal families fled, most of them still remained in Beijing.
This time, the Seventh-generation Living Buddha Zhangjia returned to Beijing after more than three years, and even joined the East China Government. He took the initiative to go east to worship the old friends and friends from the past. The Seventh-generation Living Buddha Zhangjia could not refuse, so he could only accept everyone. Therefore, the Seventh-generation Living Buddha Zhangjia was almost always welcomed the visiting old friends in the first 3 or 4 days after the Seventh-generation Living Buddha arrived in Beijing. In addition, the Beijing Municipal Government also sent people to visit the Seventh-generation Living Buddha Zhangjia, welcomed him to return to Beijing, and hoped that he could have a happy life in Beijing.
