Chapter 78 Genius Researcher Dr. Destruction

A day ago, an unexpected experimental accident occurred in Victor von Doom's laboratory. A large explosion swept across the entire dormitory building, and thick smoke with a choking smell of sulfur spread throughout the corridor.

Many students on this floor were injured by the explosion, but fortunately they did not die, which made the military's work to suppress the accident much easier. They tried their best to avoid the name of Victor von Dum in any form of news reports, so that no one could find the benefits and achievements they gained from the secret cooperation of Dum.

Dumm's dormitory and laboratory were both turned into ruins in the explosion. They managed to dig the ruins, but nothing was left. Experts managed to calculate that the center of the explosion was the seriously damaged metal seat in the ruins, but since all its lines were burnt and most of the parts were broken, no one could recognize what this thing was originally used for.

The military failed to find Victor von Dum's body, but the surveillance video in the corridor clearly showed that Dum returned to his room at 1:00 pm and did not come out for the next few hours until the explosion. Of course, they also confirmed that there was no other secret passage in the blown-up room to go out, and even if they were to go through the window from behind, it was impossible to avoid the surveillance cameras placed on the street lamppost opposite the window.

Finally, the experts gave the only explanation. A few weeks ago, Dum claimed to them that he was developing the prototype of a time machine, and he believed that he had discovered a theoretical method of shuttle time. Experts speculated that maybe Dum was trying to develop his so-called time machine at the time of the incident, or maybe his immature machine blew his body away from other time or space, so his wreckage could not be found on the scene.

But no matter what, they finally determined the fact that Victor von Doum is dead. The case was closed and the files were sealed, and no one asked about anything related to Doum.

This is very good, which makes his next things much easier.

After accepting Michael's invitation, Doom did not join Paso as a senior researcher as he expected. Michael arranged a backup cover for him to register as a Paso company's nominee, and then took him to an independent institute specially prepared for him.

When Michael first appeared in front of Dum and said he could provide him with advanced equipment and huge resources that he could never have imagined, Dum only regarded that words as a purely arrogant rhetoric. He thought he had seen the cutting-edge technology at the peak of mankind. He felt that his invention was already at the forefront of the world, and he didn't believe that there could be any technological products that could surprise him.

However, after Michael brought him to this institute, he realized that he was as ridiculous as a frog looking at the sky in a well.

Compared to his past when he worked for the army, this institute can truly be said to be the best technology in the civilized world. Standing in this laboratory, Dum saw many machines that he thought were only in concepts and concepts, and some devices that he didn't even know existed.

Victor von Doom is indeed a genius that is rare in a thousand years, but after all, it is still limited by the growth environment and external conditions. It is not easy to get to this point. But from today on, he will be free from the shackles and will be able to touch the real peak of technology, and will have the opportunity to go further in the future.

Michael told him that his main job was to develop in the institute for the time being until Michael assigned him another position. His first task was to improve a mass-produced combat robot, increase the practicality of a single body and minimize the cost.

This is the combat robot designed by Michael when he was idle. It is divided into three main models: sea, land and air, and a special model that can infiltrate reconnaissance. He roughly completed the design drawings, built a prototype, and then handed it over to other scientific research groups to improve and perfect it. Unfortunately, all experts in related fields have completely failed to meet his expected requirements. In Michael's opinion, they lacked the professional level they deserved and lacked enough creativity, and the most basic requirements (in his opinion) could not meet them.

This is also one of the reasons why he recruited Doum, to do some work for him that he could not spare time and energy, and might even do better than him.

Michael showed the four existing design drawings to Dum, and then sorted out the improvement requirements he expected to meet and sent them to Dum. Dum browsed them and almost screamed.

"Are you kidding?" He flipped the suspended interface showing the expected request for documents and told Michael, "Do you want mass-produced intelligent combat machines to reach this level? And you want the individual budget to be no more than $500,000? How can this be done?"

Michael patted his shoulder and said calmly: "I said I would give you a job, but I never said it would be simple. First of all, you have to know that you are no longer working for the army, and your new boss is not the kind of fool you can use to just take out some of your spare time."

Then his tone slowed down a little: "And if everyone can do it, why would I go back to hire Victor von Doom?"

This rekindled Dum's self-confidence. It is true that he had just suffered an unprecedented blow, but Dum is not someone who can be easily defeated. He will cheer up quickly and continue to move forward, a hundred times more tenacious than before he was knocked down.

"Give me a month." Dumm gave the assurance.

Dumm quickly noticed that the boss was unusual in all aspects. Even if he put aside the mysterious power he possessed, Michael Paso had a natural and respectable ability. Dumm couldn't say why, but he instinctively felt that Michael was the first person he met in his life who could be said to be awesome.

However, until now, Dum still thought that Michael was talking about the arrangement that he was talking about was to find him a job in scientific research, and he was not aware that Michael had actually reserved a core position for him in a superpower elite team that was still in the construction stage.

Just kidding, what I'm talking about here is Victor von Dome, Doctor Doom! When this guy was the boss behind the scenes at home, he was basically a big man on the same level as Thanos. Letting such a big man stay in the laboratory and concentrate on logistics? It's a bit too light to say that he was a waste of resources.

What Dum is most interested in is Michael's magical secret. What he saw and heard in hell not only destroyed the confidence he had built up for years, but also greatly expanded his horizons and showed him a new world he had never thought of. He can't wait to step into it and become a part of the mysterious world.

But Michael has not yet taught him what he meant. Michael hopes that he can spend more time resting and adjusting. Spell practice cannot be achieved overnight, and it is not too late to wait until Dum calms down before starting.

After the matter of Dum was arranged, Michael then returned to his daily affairs. He took the time to come back and resolve some of the things that had been delayed and accumulated in the company for two months. Then he symbolically exposed it once or twice to let the public and some partners know that the president of the Paso Group was not mysteriously missing.

A few days later, information came from the Tianjian branch in Tennessee.

They believe Gideon Malik's position has been locked.
