Chapter 74 Welcome to Hell

Everything is different from what Dumm planned.

His machine successfully helped him break through the barriers of space, but did not carry him straight to the underworld like a magical pumpkin carriage. For the first few hours, his consciousness was on the verge of dispersion. He felt like a pellet of dust from a blower, and his soul was pulled out of his body without being controlled.

Next, he felt as if his consciousness was accelerated to super-light speed. He screamed and was fired out of the universe where he was, but he did not go directly to the station. For a while, colorful lights flashed wildly around him, reminiscing the nightclub in Hell's Kitchen in New York; after a while, he fell into darkness again, and the whole space was so quiet that it was heartbroken, and the chaos that could not be seen was churning around him; for a while, he felt as if he had fallen into some two-dimensional space, and he felt like he had become part of a flat plane, feeling like a cartoon character, even a funny thing...

It was endless dimensions and space, and he was trying to find his mother's whereabouts from all the worlds, like catching a drop of rain falling into the sea.

His soul kept moving forward at a speed beyond understanding, like a bullet that could not stop piercing one space after another. He felt as if he had been wandering in the vast and deep world for weeks, and finally came to the place he was aiming at when he set out.

hell.

Dum landed on the rugged brown rocks, and in front of him stood like the gate of the underworld. The ever-extinguishing flames leaped out from every gap in the rock. They were burning vigorously, but there seemed to be no temperature.

Dum narrowed his eyes and began to walk along the rocky trail.

When he walked to the middle of the door, a ball of black things climbed out from both sides of the path. They climbed onto the rocks and met in the middle of the road, and mixed into a ball in front of Dum. The thing slowly stood up from the ground in a twist, gradually transforming into a standing entity.

It looked like a reptile. In just a few seconds, it had grown as big as a lion. It had sharp fangs like a wolf, diamond-shaped patterns on its back several meters long, and its claws were constantly digging on the reddish-brown dry ground, looking ready to go.

"It looks like you're the janitor."

Dum snorted heavily. He quickly formed a magic seal with his hands and recited a long spell. The gray-green light changed into a long magic sword in his palm. The sword body, which was floating like a flame, stretched out, and pointed the sword tip at the hell beast.

That was the basic spell recorded in the black magic books left to him by Gypsy's mother. It casts weapons for attack or defense, and even the evil spirits of hell can be injured.

The hell creature roared like a demonstration, and showed off the lion's teeth and charged forward. Dum tried his best to avoid his bite and slashed at it with a sword.

But the beast was also very clever. It shrank and avoided Dumu's sword, then opened its mouth and spit out a long pillar of fire. A smell like a burnt oven hit the face, and a strong flame sprayed straight towards Dumu. This time it was not without temperature, it was terriblely hot.

Dum jumped away, and the flames exploded into a hole in the rock at his feet. He roared and raised his sword to slash the monster's neck regardless of everything. The magic sword edge cut open the monster's neck, and black blood spurted out of the wound.

The monster screamed in anger. It turned around and slammed Dumu with its head. Dumu was not afraid at all. He stepped forward and pushed his sword straight into the monster's mouth. At the same moment, the monster spat out flames again.

The flame passed through half of his body, not the burning of the body but the soul itself. Dum was burning, but he gritted his teeth and held it over, and tried to deliver the blade with almost stubborn perseverance. The magic sword pierced deeply into the monster's throat and pierced out from the back of its neck. The hell creature's throat was groaning vaguely, and his whole body turned back to the black substance, disintegrating with a "bang".

Dum half kneeled on the cold rock and gasped heavily.

The sword gradually turned back and the magic fluctuations dissipated from his hands. He was exhausted, and his whole body was burned with flames, feeling like he had been fighting someone for a week. But he knew that he could not rest. He used his will to force himself to stand up again and drag his tired body forward.

The reddish-brown rocks formed a hanging corridor in front of them. Dum walked along the corridor for a distance of several kilometers, and finally heard the sound that made him dream of.

"Victor?"

He looked up in surprise: "Mother?"

Absolutely, that was his mother, wearing the same robe as he remembered, and even her face was exactly the same as he remembered, without getting old at all. She was locked in a black cage like a bird, hanging on top of her head, which looked several hundred meters high from him.

His mother, Cynthia von Dum, grabbed the iron railing of the cage with both hands. Seeing that her son was not happy at all, she shouted in despair. She shouted: "Victor? Oh my God, this is impossible...not here...how could you be here?"

"I'm here to save you, mother." Dum crawled up the rock, "hold on."

"No! You can't come here, kid! Run away quickly, forget me, and before it..."

Too late. The thing that scared Cynthia so much has arrived.

The cold flames swept like a whirlwind, forming a funnel-shaped tornado beside the stone steps where Dum stood. The huge red giant gradually appeared in the dancing flame storm, and a huge red face was poked out, and his yellow eyes looked at Dum without any concealment.

Mephisto, a demon with magic power and gods, and the ruler of hell. He was attracted by the aura of living people brought to hell by Dum.

The moment the face appeared, overwhelming power enveloped everything. Red lightning kept shooting down from the invisible sky, and the rumbling thunder seemed to cheer him.

"Cynthia," he spoke in a heavy, terrible voice, "this dirty little... could it be that you were pregnant with?"

"My monarch, please show your mercy, please..." Cynthia burst into tears.

Dum resisted the suffocating pressure and stubbornly raised his head: "I'm here to save my mother. No one can stop me."

Mephisto glanced at him contemptuously, then laughed loudly, overwhelming the thunder echoing under the endless red dome.

"Very good, very good Cynthia, you gave birth to a very interesting little thing."

He laughed in a deep voice. After balls of darkness crawled out of the cracks of the rocks, forming various strange forms in front of Dum one after another. There were the mutated lion-like crawling creatures, the standing creatures with sharp teeth and claws, and even some with wings, like vampires in hell.

There were eight hell creatures, and they surrounded Dum in the middle. Just now, Dum spent all his efforts to kill only one, and he has not even recovered yet.

It seems that's all.

But Dum was still not afraid at all. He formed a magic seal, and the gray-green waves gathered in his palms like surging flowing water. His eyes were shining with splendor, like a warrior determined to die.

The monsters let out a low roar. The first monster moved, it was a dog-shaped reptile, and its whole body bulged and rushed up, with a salty and wet stench in its open mouth.

But it failed to bite in front of Dumm.

Its body was hit by a fire-colored beam falling from the sky halfway through, and it didn't even have time to scream and it was crushed to pieces.
