23. Merlin. The King of Children [55/100](2/2)
“So we want to thank tradition.”
Merlin made a strange statement and said to Gatler:
"Anyway, don't worry, Gatler. These things end here, if they are convenient in the future, I will tell you the truth. This matter is related to a powerful supernatural force."
"Well, okay, since that's the case, I won't ask."
Gatler said on the phone:
"And I have already thrown into the designated email address for three flights from London to New York that you asked me to help you."
"Thank you, Gatler, I will definitely treat you to a big meal next time I come to Europe."
After a few greetings to each other, Meilin hung up the phone.
He looked at the gloomy sky outside the cabin and breathed a sigh of relief.
The British Ministry of Magic responded quickly enough, but they were misled by the information that Merlin deliberately left behind. They spent a lot of effort to invade the London branch, but missed the best opportunity to pursue Merlin and Harry.
By the time they found the news that was really useful, Merlin and Harry had already arrived in the North American continent.
"Fortunately, those old-fashioned ones don't use computers"
Merlin snorted, he reached out to touch the white owl in the cage, and walked towards his room.
Five hours later, the Kennedy International Airport duty-free shop.
Harry Potter was dazzled by the clothes that were covered with windows. This child, who had been abused by his uncle and aunt, was at a loss when facing these dazzling array of goods.
Seeing him standing in the store with an owl in his arms, Merlin couldn't stand it anymore. He walked to the counter and said to the cute young lady at the front desk:
"This set, that set, and that set, and then another watch, and the last set of casual suits."
He glanced at Harry's figure and said to the young lady:
"Can you try on clothes?"
"All of them, sir."
The young lady is very dedicated to introducing it.
Merlin nodded, then waved to Harry, reached out to take the birdcage in his hand, and pointed to the fitting room:
"Go, I'm waiting for you here."
More than ten minutes later, Mr. Porter, dressed up, walked out of the fitting room.
He was wearing a blue casual suit, probably the style of a gray suit on Merlin. His messy hair was also taken care of, and he looked energetic.
It was at this time that Merlin noticed that there was a black lightning-shaped scar on the left side of Harry's forehead. But it was not scary, but it added a hint of mystery to the young man.
Merlin held his shoulders and looked up and down at Harry, who was completely refreshed, and nodded with satisfaction:
"Good, that's great."
He took out his wallet, paid, and pointed to several shopping bags on the counter and said to Harry:
"With these things, we'll pick up your friends."
"ah?"
A hint of surprise appeared on Harry's face, and he said:
"You mean, Ron and Hermione are here too?"
"certainly."
Merlin pushed her glasses and said to the young man in front of her:
“Since it’s a trip, how can you let you walk alone?”
"Come on, don't miss their flight."
Merlin walked out of the duty-free shop with a birdcage, and Harry followed him. After a while, at the pick-up gate in the lobby, Harry waved excitedly to the three young men dragging their luggage in front of him:
"Hi, Ron, Hermione, Ginny, I'm here! Come on!"
Merlin stood further behind. He looked at the four chattering young men and thought of Eric at his home. He frowned and said to himself:
"5 young men, my God, if I don't pay attention, I will become the king of children."
(The chapter I just passed on was my mistake. To compensate everyone, I will add 2 more updates next month, sorry.)
