Chapter 2 Starving Ghosts

The elevator that rose from the parking lot below the tube building opened. Perhaps because of the unstable voltage, the lighting of the hall and elevator flashed twice at the same time.

Peng Bai apologized at the elevator that was so black that there was only one empty space, and then stuffed the bodies of at least two people into the elevator.

When the floor displayed by the elevator reached the tenth floor where he lived, Peng Bai apologized to the crowded people around him again, and then walked out. After Peng Bai walked out of the elevator, the young man standing in one corner of the elevator looked pale, and the yellow liquid flowing out of his shoes flowed into a pile.

"Ha! There are really no people in the elevator at night. Fuck, what's the smell? What's wrong with you, buddy?" A young man who happened to take the elevator passed by Peng Bai. After entering the elevator, he smelled the smell of birds and shouted in dissatisfaction. No one saw the young man in the empty elevator, so it's no wonder he blamed Peng Bai.

When Peng Bai walked into the house, there was no one. Zhang Bao and Peng Bai and his son stayed together. When the hotel closed at night, he usually had to go for a walk by the river beside the city to practice legs and feet. He didn't expect him to come back until after ten o'clock.

Peng Bai's father may be due to his disability and his mentality is quite abnormal. He will go to drink without customers every night, and he will definitely not come back until 11 or 2 o'clock. Of course, for such a father, you don't have to expect him to care about Peng Bai's study and life. But it's still fine, he will finally give Peng Bai some breakfast and lunch every month.

The business of the small restaurant that mainly serves fried rice is so good that it is impossible for Peng Bai to eat some leftovers, so Peng Bai's dinner is a bowl of instant noodles. With this diet, Peng Bai can still grow so fat that he can only sigh as a miracle.

In addition to seeing his father every morning, Peng Bai is rarely seen.

I kicked off my shoes and went straight into the bathroom. I washed it in a few seconds. After changing into a clean set of clothes, I walked out. The dirty clothes were thrown into my schoolbag and turned around and walked out of the house. The whole process was done in one go, less than fifteen minutes.

The fish-flavored fried rice must have been soaked. Zhang Baoke only dared to secretly make it to Peng Bai without telling it when there were too many customers. If it was discovered, Guan Bao would be scolded.

Of course, why is Peng Bai so fat? The reason is very simple. The horse has no night grass. It turns out that Peng Bai has to add food to himself before starting work in the early morning.

The situation was very bad today. I was beaten without even having breakfast in the early morning, and then I fell into a coma until midnight. The general order in my stomach tightened for a while. I walked into the kitchen of my small restaurant through the back door. After turning on the light, I went straight to the place where eggs and ham were placed.

Scrambled eggs, a simple cooking job, Peng Bai can do it at the age of ten. He skillfully beats five eggs into a large ceramic bowl and then starts to heat up.

With a "sniff!", the aroma of the scrambled eggs came to my nose. It was certain that the taste was not very good, because Peng Bai didn't even add seasonings such as chopped green onion and salted salt. Peng Bai's biggest advantage is that he is absolutely not picky about food, and he can get it all if he needs to eat. No wonder he is so fat.

Soon, a simple stall of eggs was out of the pot. After cooking and frying the five eggs, they were like a big cake sold on the street. They put a ham sausage on the egg cake, and then wrapped the egg cake, and the egg ham cake was finished.

Just as he was about to enjoy this late-night snack, Peng Bai heard a "tick...tick..." sound that was very disharmonious with the surrounding environment.

"Strange, Brother Bao is so careful that he shouldn't let the faucet still drip, right?" Peng Bai thought strangely. But after a while, he found that even though the faucet was not tight, it would not seem to be coming from behind as if it was dripping on the ground.

At this moment, a cold wind suddenly blew up, and Peng Bai immediately had goose bumps all over his body, and his hair stood attentively. He suddenly turned around and saw the most terrifying scene in his life.

The messy, white and long hair was tied into a messy braid, standing upside down behind the head of the "people" opposite, straight towards the sky. A bloody mouth ticked with saliva, her eyes shone green as big as a copper bell, and she stared at Peng Bai's face who was scared to the ground at close range.

It's not that the hairstyle is fashionable and the expression is weird. The man's head and neck are not connected, but are held in two hands that are comparable to chicken feet. The arms are connected to the official uniforms of a certain dynasty in ancient times. His body is hanging in the air and without feet. Isn't this the legendary ghost?

"Ah..." Peng Bai saw it clearly, and his head was short-circuited. The word "ghost" completely occupied Peng Bai's head that was obviously a little bigger than his peers, and the originally obedient hair on his head stood up, which was really scared.

At the launch site, Peng Bai threw out the ham and egg pancake in his hand. In an instant, he seemed to be holding a ghost head. Then he climbed backwards with both hands and feet uncontrollably. In the end, he could not support it and fainted in a scream.

He fainted twice in a row for twenty-four hours, once beaten and once scared, which was really exaggerated. His luck today was really bad.

I don’t know how long it took, but Peng Bai finally woke up by the cold cement floor again.

"Dreams must be dreams, they must be dreams just now. Only ghosts can be in dreams!" Peng Bai did not dare to open his eyes, and he murmured to comfort himself.

"Hey, what's scary about ghosts? Talents are the most scary!" A voice said quietly in Peng Bai's ears.

Peng Bai opened his eyes and saw the "ghost". Fortunately, the ghost's head was at least tied around the ghost's neck, so the terror was immediately lost by nine points.

Poor Peng Bai was very careful, but at this moment he was harder than a stubborn stone. Even if he didn't, he would at least not faint again. After rolling his eyelids, Peng Bai knew that he could not faint and wanted to escape from his weak limbs.

The dead pig is not afraid of boiling water, so Peng Bai finally began to face the "ghost" opposite.

"Boy, why don't you put chopped green onions and salt in your egg pancake? If the sausage wasn't a bit salty, this egg pancake would be extremely short." The ghost on the opposite side took another bite at the egg pancake.

What? The ghost is eating egg pancakes? Peng Bai opened his eyes wide and was incredible. The ghost opposite was actually eating egg pancakes he prepared for midnight snacks.

The ghost actually ate his egg cake! The ghost can actually eat like a human! Peng Bai was extremely surprised, but it was not only limited to the ghosts that really appeared, but also not only the ghosts that could speak human words.
