Chapter 524 The nightmare of all primary school students in Hong Kong(1/3)

As soon as Tao Yucheng finished asking the question, Tao's mother came back, followed by two old sisters.

Taking advantage of the nice weather today, she went out to play with everyone. When someone invited them to dinner at noon, she insisted on inviting them to dinner. After a while, she even dragged them home.

"Yucheng, go buy some food!" Mother Tao ordered.

"All the meat has been bought." Tao Yucheng repeated the answer just now.

"Are you just going to eat meat? Buy some other dishes!"

Tao's mother was not as easy to talk to as Tao's father. Tao Yucheng stood up helplessly, then seemed to remember something and stopped.

"By the way, parents, Chaoyang called today."

Tao's father asked: "What happened?"

"I told you and mom to go to Xiangjiang and stay for a while."

Father Tao and Mother Tao were slightly startled, "Why are you going to Xiangjiang?"

Talking about this, Tao Yucheng got excited, "I said I changed my house to a bigger house so that you two can experience the decadence of capitalist society!"

Of course, he had translated these words. Lin Chaoyang’s precise statement was, “The house is a lot wider now, so my parents can come and play when they have time.

"Relax your mind".

Tao's father frowned. He had a deep understanding of his son's character and tried to understand his spirit.

"It's a good thing to change the house. Your mother and I won't go there. I still have things to do at school." Tao's father said.

Tao's mother was not satisfied with her husband's decision-making without authorization. Tao Yucheng observed his words and said: "Dad, you have something to do, my mother is fine!"

Father Tao said "Oh", "Then you can ask your mother for her opinion."

Tao Yucheng said with a playful smile: "Mom, my dad won't go, and it will be quite lonely for you to go alone. How about I go with you?"

As soon as he finished speaking, Zhao Li's voice came from outside, "You are so beautiful! I'm sorry you had the nerve to say it."

Tao's mother didn't want to see him and urged him: "Hurry up and buy groceries!"

"I was just kidding." Tao Yucheng mumbled and left the house dejectedly.

After he left, the two old sisters brought back by Tao's mother took over the conversation. Everyone around the Tao family knew that their two daughters were in Xiangjiang.

The two asked about the situation of Tao Yushu and the sisters in Xiangjiang. Tao's mother's eyebrows relaxed, but she only said that she was doing some small business.

"Grandma, go to Xiangjiang and take me with you." Tao Xiwu said as he came to Tao's mother.

Tao's mother glanced at him and said, "Go and ask your mother and see if she agrees."

Tao Xiwu had a grimace on his face, it wasn't November yet, it would have been better if his uncle's invitation came in January.

While he was frowning, Tao's mother continued to chat with the old sisters.

"Those people around us, after all, it's Ruohui and your kids who have a lot of potential!"

"Yes. Yushu and his wife are very capable, so it would be nice for you two to go out and have a look."

"Alas! You are so old, what is there to see and cause trouble to your children?" Tao's mother looked like she didn't want to go.

"Go and see your grandson. Your little granddaughter is so cute. I've definitely missed her after not seeing her for half a year."

"When you say that, it's really, oh! That little guy is so painful!"

Tao's mother smiled happily when she talked about her granddaughter, which made Tao Xiwu's face look even more bitter.

After that night, the news spread like wildfire that Professor Tao and his wife, No. 12 Building, Langrun Lake Apartment, were moving to Xiangjiang, arousing the envy and jealousy of many people around them.

But in the past two days, whenever the old couple went out and ran into old colleagues, their neighbors would ask questions, which made them extremely annoyed.

"My parents wrote back, but I can't tell you." Lin Chaoyang told Tao Yushu,

She looked a little helpless, "Why are they all like this? Do we still have to invite them?"

"Afraid of causing trouble to us, if you really go back and invite me, it will definitely work." Lin Chaoyang said with a smile.

Tao Yushu shook his head, "Forget it, let's wait until the Chinese New Year."

While the couple was talking, Tao Yumo returned home happily. When she heard that her parents were not coming to Xiangjiang, her happiness was visibly increased.

Her mood is understandable. Life is so free now. When her parents came to Xiangjiang, they immediately had two new emperors on their heads. How uncomfortable was that?

"I see you are happy, what's going on?" Lin Chaoyang asked.

"It's nothing, hehe!"

The first few words were very low-key, but the last "hehe" revealed Tao Yumo's pride.

It turned out that the sales feedback of "Monopoly" from other places came back, totaling 34,000 copies, including the Bay Island area and New Zealand, Malaysia,

Philippines, Thailand and several other countries.

Counting the new sales in recent times, the total sales of "Monopoly" have exceeded 50,000 copies.

The external selling price of "Monopoly" converted into local currency is similar to that in Xiangjiang. According to Tao Yumo's calculation, the sales volume is 50,000 copies.

After deducting development expenses, publishing agency fees and taxes, Sugar Games’ profit exceeded HK$2 million.

It can't compare with big companies, but for a small and fledgling company like hers, it's already a huge success.

What's more, in the next year or two, "Monopoly" will continue to create profits for Sugar Games.

The amount may not be much, but the mosquito legs are still meat no matter how small they are!

"Sister, what did we say at that time? It was profitable in the first year!

In less than half a year, I have already earned 2 million!"

Tao Yumo exchanged words with her sister, and Tao Yushu said calmly: "Good job, keep up the good work."

Tao Yumo felt like she was punched in the air, and she cheered up and talked about the company's second game.

"Monopoly" was launched in July, and after local sales feedback came out in August, Tao Yumo confidently devoted himself to the development of the second game.

Thanks to Lin Chaoyang's matchmaking, Sugar Games obtained the game adaptation rights for Jin Yong's "The Swordsman", but the copyright fee was a bit expensive, costing HK$200,000.

Sugar Games has hired four or five more employees in the past two months. The development of "Swordsman" is a big project compared to "Monopoly".

According to the current plan, "Swordsman" is expected to be released by the end of the year. Tao Yumo recently even agreed to Yang Yuansheng's plan for another game called "Xuanyuan Sword".

Tao Yushu couldn't help but frown when he heard her plan, "You're taking too big a step."

"It's not a big problem, I have confidence in these two games!"

Tao Yu Mo Shu is full of ambition and heroic spirit!

Tao Yushu didn't understand where her blind confidence came from, but she didn't say anything. Young people don't have long memories unless they suffer some losses.

Two days later, Lin Chaoyang received a package mailed by Lin Haiyin from Wandao. Inside was a letter and two sample books, namely "The Truman Show" and "Enter Guandong", as well as several newspapers and periodicals.

In May of this year, Lin Haiyin and his wife made a special trip to Lin Chaoyang to discuss the introduction of his works to Bay Island.

In August, "The Truman Show" was first published in Wandao, followed by "Enter Guandong".

Since the Wandao JY, cross-strait exchanges have been much smoother than before. In the past two years, a wave of "mainland fever" has gradually emerged in the Wandao, and many works by mainland writers have been introduced to the Wandao.

Lin Chaoyang's works appeared in the cultural circles of Wan Dao earlier than this, because the connection between Hong Kong and Wan Dao is relatively close. As early as after his works landed in Hong Kong, they were often circulated to Wan Dao.

Over the past few years, Lin Chaoyang's works have gained a group of loyal fans in the Bay Island cultural circle.

Therefore, "The Truman Show" and "Enter Guandong" were quickly welcomed by the cultural circles of the Bay Island after they were published in the Bay Island.

Among them, Bai Xianyong, a well-known writer from Wandao, once published an article in the supplement of "United Daily News", saying:

"Crossing the Guandong" has a majestic character and an epic spirit. It condenses the era of great turmoil and great changes into the conflicts, entanglements and grudges between the white mountains and the black waters. It is thrilling and inspiring.

When the famous poet Yu Guangzhong participated in a literary salon organized by Lin Haiyin's family, he once commented that "Crossing the Guandong" should be ranked first among Chinese contemporary novels.

With the praise of many people in the cultural circles, Lin Chaoyang's novels quickly won the love of Bay Island readers.

Sales have been rising all the way. "Enter Guandong" has sold 24,000 copies in just over a month since its publication. "The Truman Show" is slightly behind, with 18,000 copies sold.

This information was all mentioned by Lin Haiyin in her letter, and the newspapers and periodicals she sent also contained some evaluations of Lin Chaoyang's works.

In addition, Lin Haiyin also wrote in the letter:

Since JY, cross-strait cultural exchanges have become increasingly frequent. This year, Sanmao went to the mainland to visit relatives and was warmly welcomed by officials and people.

Chaoyang, your works are very popular in Bay Island and there are so many of them. I really should go here and take a look.

Since the 1980s, San Mao's works have been repeatedly reprinted by mainland literary magazines. In 1984, her works such as "The Story of the Sahara" and "How Many Flowers Fall in Dreams" were also published in mainland China, triggering a wave of fanatical San Mao.

Mao fever is sweeping the country.

Many literary young people are shocked by this woman who has traveled to 59 countries and regions, moved by her love story with Jose, and infected by her spirit of pursuing freedom.

In April this year, Sanmao returned to the mainland to visit relatives. He received high-level courtesy in many cities he passed. The news spread back to the island, making the island's literary circles excited.

The residents of Bay Island can be roughly divided into three categories. One type is the aboriginal people who have grown here since ancient times; the other type is native people, who are the descendants of the mainlanders who immigrated to Bay Island from Fujian and other places since the Qing Dynasty;

People from other provinces, that is, those who came to the island with Baldhead after 45 years.

In today's Bay Island cultural world, people from other provinces account for the absolute majority. Many of these people grew up on the mainland. Even if they were born in Bay Island, the influence of their parents' generations is still there.

Putting aside political differences, the word "nostalgia" is the sentiment of their generation.
