Journey to Weinman Hogg

Journey to Winman Hogg

Thursday, November 3

One day in early November, the geese flew over the Holland Mountains and entered Sgaina.

For weeks, they have been roaming the Great Plains in the Fork Oopin area.

Since several other groups of geese also live in this area, the older geese visited old friends for a pleasant time, while the younger geese participated in various interesting games and competitions.

During West Gowtland's delayed days, Niels Hogelson was always looking dull.

He tried to cheer up his spirits, but when he thought of the arrangement of fate, he could not calm his mind.

"If I left Sgena and went abroad," he thought, "I would know that I had no hope of becoming a human again, which might be a little better for me."

Finally, one morning, the geese set off again and flew towards Holland.

At first the boy was not interested in the scenery of this province.

He just felt that there was nothing new here.

But as the geese continued their journey south along the narrow coast, the boy couldn't help but sit up straight and leaned down from the geese's neck, his eyes never left the ground beneath him.

He saw the hills slowly disappear, the plains stretched at his feet, and at the same time he noticed that the coast was not as fragmented as before, and the islands outside the coast became smaller and smaller, and finally disappeared, while the broad and clear sea and the solid land were closely linked.

The forest is almost invisible, and the plains are the masters here.

It stretched towards the horizon, endlessly.

The land here is so flat and wide, with crisscrossing fields that the boy couldn't help but think of Sgener.

This situation made him both happy and excited, sad and uncomfortable.

"I'm probably not far from home."

He thought to himself.

During the journey, the young geese asked the old geese again and again: "What does foreign countries look like?"

"Don't be anxious, don't be anxious! You'll see it soon."

The old geese answered this.

As the geese flew over the Holland Mountains and flew for a distance in Sgaina, Aka shouted:

"Now you can look down! Look down! This is what a foreign country looks like."

At this time they were flying over the Sodel Mountains.

The hill stretches, covered with dense beech trees, and beautiful castles with towers dotted it.

Elks gnaw on the grass leaves in the woods, and rabbits jumped and played on the grass in the woods.

The sound of hunters' horns resounded throughout the woods, and the hunters barked loudly, even the geese in the sky could hear it clearly.

The wide forest road winds through the woods. On the road, gentlemen and ladies can be seen sitting in beautifully decorated carriages heading towards the woods.

At the foot of the mountain is the Lake of Lingen, and the ancient Busoyo Monastery is located on a narrow peninsula.

"Is foreign countries like this?"

The geese couldn't wait to ask.

"No matter where it is, as long as it is a mountain range covered with forests, it looks like this," Aka replied, "but you don't see it often.

Don't be impatient, take your time! You will soon see the general appearance of foreign countries."

Aka led the geese to continue flying towards the Sgena Plain.

The plains are constantly stretching under your feet, the crops are continuous, and the beets are also in large areas. People who pick beets are busy in the fields.

Low white farmhouses and houses are scattered, as well as countless small white churches, ugly gray sugar factories and small villages and towns built next to the railway station.

Beech trees are surrounded by small lakes, and beautiful and luxurious manors and mansions are dotted.

"Look down now! Look carefully!"

The leader shouted, “This is what foreign countries look like, from the Baltic coast to the towering Alps.

I haven't been to a farther place."

The geese carefully watched the plain scenery, and the leading geese took the lead and flew down towards the coast of Orle.

The wet grass gradually leaned down towards the beach.

On the coast, some places are tall and steep embankments, and some places are quicksand zones, with sand piled up into full sand shores and dunes.

The fishing village is densely lined up along the coast, made of neat and uniform bricks and stones. There is a lighthouse at the far end of the breakwater, and brown fishing nets are dried on the fish drying ground.

"Look down now! Look carefully! This is what the foreign coastal shores look like."

Aka flew like this for a long time, and finally she suddenly landed on a swamp in the town of Wenmanhog. The boy realized that the reason she flew over Sgena was just to let him see that his own country could be compared with any country in the world.

In fact, there was no need for her to do this, because the boy never thought about whether a country was poor or rich.
