Chapter 925: The Hope of the Future

"We have entered the Reserva Nacional Matses. We can reach our destination after walking a little further northwest. Our people are waiting in Rekna." Camilla carried her food and drinking water on her shoulders, and struggled to cross the gravel-filled stream. However, her words did not make people feel at ease, because the Mats National Park in Peru is too big. The expedition crossed the border between Brazil's Amazonia and Peru and went west. Until now, no trace of human civilization has been found. The humid and sultry rainforest environment and malaria that may break out at any time are more terrible killers than the Holy Trinity mercenaries. Fortunately, the Immortal City is thoughtful and is distributed with food and drinking water. Water purification tablets, anti-mosquito oil paints, and quinine drugs to prevent malaria.

But Camilla wanted an electric mosquito swatter or a complete communication facility, even if it had to be charged with a hand-crank generator. "We walked more than two hundred kilometers, Camilla." Laura, as an archaeologist, was also assigned to the transport task. She said breathlessly, "It's the fifth day, and Holy Trinity cannot track us. Maybe we can change the route, Rekner is too far."

"Where do you want to go, little girl? Rekner is the closest settlement to us." Camilla said with a cold face. "Walking west is another nature reserve, and going south is another national park. If we don't walk along the Ukalia River, we will have to die in the rainforest after we are exhausted. Let me make it clear, I don't care whether you are alive or not, I am only worried about whether I can complete the task."

"I know, I know, I just want to ask if there is any other way to get us in contact with the organization?" Laura said. "I know that Immortal City has a lot of high-tech equipment, so..."

"If our communication station did not break with the aircraft fuel tank, we did not carry too many backup communication equipment for the convenience of transfer. Now we can only rely on the poor communication network in Peru." Camilla stretched out his hand and helped Laura climb the muddy ramp. The seven consecutive days of survival in the wild exhausted everyone, not to mention that they had a firefight with the search team of Holy Trinity five days ago. If it weren't for the theory of firepower advantage that the Immortal City has always emphasized and those high-tech weapons that are confused, the team led by Camilla would really be wiped out. However, they did have no choice but to use the Trinity armed helicopters. When all individual missiles were exhausted, in order to avoid the enemy's air superiority, she had to lead the team to detour in the rainforest to avoid being caught by Trinity.

Laura Crawford must arrive in Peru alive, and this is the order she received.

The Immortal City depicted a future to her and invited her to join. She witnessed the establishment of order on the African continent. No owners began to have their own lives. Western diamond companies and energy companies were mercilessly driven out and replaced by locals who had received a certain degree of education and administrative staff of the Immortal City. Schools, hospitals, prisons and other basic public facilities were established. High-tech is no longer the patent of rich people, but becomes a machine for building houses and roads. Criminals were executed, children were forced to learn, and everyone participated in the labor of building their own lives. Everyone's life became visible to the naked eye. The kind of life of eating mud cakes to satisfy their hunger will never happen again. Although not everyone is willing to accept the rule of the Immortal City, even with the whip, the rulers will force people to move towards a better life.

Camilla herself became the protector of this kind of beautiful life.

This is the scene she has been looking forward to, and she hopes that this kind of thing can also happen in her native Peru.

Clearing the poppy planting ground, destroying gangs, corrupt police and the puppet government of the United States, and returning wealth and power to every Peruvian. For this wish, she was willing to work hard for the Immortal City, even if she had witnessed the brutal means of the Immortal City - as a member of the Peruvian anti-government armed forces, Camilla knew that this was a necessary means. Only those idiotic Virgins in Europe and the United States would ignore the reality, turn a blind eye to the suffering of the people, and only blindly call for peace.

Like that idiot Colson.

Night fell quickly. In order to save battery energy, Camilla asked his subordinates to use torches after temporarily getting rid of the pursuers. This move was proven effective, because two days later they found that the battery energy in their hands was no more than 50%, and they could not return to the place where the encounter occurred and picked up the discarded materials.

"I hope the Immortal City discovers the Trinity armed helicopter." Camilla said suddenly next to the fire. Laura cast a puzzled look at her, and Camilla explained, "In fact, I don't know how much high-tech Immortal City now has, but before I set off, I heard from my friends that Immortal City now has an armed orbit platform. Think about it, throw a stick from space..."

"The Staff of God has always been a failure, Camilla." Jonah interjected, "considering the need for precise guidance, just throwing down a tungsten rod will not work, and it is not cost-effective."

"It's okay to throw something else, I'm just an example! Don't laugh, Benjamin! Otherwise I'll deduct your salary!" Camilla coughed twice, "I mean, our current operations are likely to be stared at by satellites outside the atmosphere, and even if they haven't found us yet, maybe they are already searching for our traces. Nothing can be more obvious than the crashed armed helicopter, right? I hope to have an assault transport boat, which is frighteningly fast. It took us a little time to fly from Africa to South America, and we broke through the atmosphere. Benjamin couldn't adapt and spit out breakfast on the cabin deck."

This chapter is not over, please click on the next page to continue reading! "To be honest, I thought it was a gunboat." Benjamin's laughter was very low, like a night owl in the forest. "No one told me not to eat before getting on the assault transport boat."

He was an old subordinate of Camilla in the government army. After Camilla was imprisoned, he tried every means to rescue him. However, the Peruvian government at that time did not intend to let Camilla go to officers who colluded with anti-government guerrillas, and also planned to liquidate Camilla's team. Therefore, when Immortal City rescued Camilla, agents who were moving in the rear of the mountainous areas of South America also brought Benjamin with him. This battle-hardened Latino man had dealt with a drug lord and a corrupt policeman. When Immortal City found him, the rifle of the AK-47 rifle in his hand was almost flattened, his clothes had not been washed for several months, and his hair was covered with dust.

If the agents of the Immortal City were later, he might become a savage.

"So you washed the cabin deck for half an hour," another man said with a smile. Aaron, with a black beard, picked up the sausage strung on the branches and shook it. "Unlike me, I've still had a sleep on the assault transport boat."

"Stop bragging, Aaron, you've been a little longer than me. Do you think we didn't see you spitting out of the cabin ramp?" Camilla mercilessly exposes the big talk of her companion, "No one expected that after you spitting, you tried to talk to those ladies in power armor. I really don't know where you got the courage!"

"I'm just pursuing beautiful ladies. Who knows that those women are so crazy!" Aaron's face suddenly turned red, "How can a woman beat a man up just because she was caught up!"

"Yes, Aaron." Camilla and Laura said in unison.
