Chapter 489 I am Hydra (V)

This is a non-registered S.H.I.E.D. facility disguised as a small hydropower station, which emits a damp smell everywhere, but it is not just the smell of spring. The water flow is almost dry, and only shallow rainfall and water are still lying in the channel. A piece of concrete raised in the channel stands quietly like an isolated island in the water, with weeds rising from the road, lush and gathering into a large green family of whispering.

It seemed that it had just rained here when they arrived. The concrete geometric building was moistened into mottled black. The rusted railings and abandoned water pipes left blood-like rust on the surface of the building with years of rain. The ubiquitous smell of waste and the nearly white fallen leaves on the land reminded Steve Rogers of where he lived in the past. When Agent Maria Hill opened the fence gate that he had not planned to lock, they found that the damp smell was even heavier. The aging pipes stretched all the way to the interior with lights, but no amount of light could dispel the large rust on the iron wall.

He thought of the person he met not long ago who should have died. Somehow, when he thought of that person, he would often paint a dim color on the pictures in his mind, just like rust outside a hydropower station.

Everything was rusted, including himself, Steve Rogers thought sadly.

"She was shot!" Maria Hill said to the doctor running towards him, "a pint of blood, or two pints."

"Leave it to me." The doctor took the patient from Sam. When Agent Maria Hill led them to a room in the base, they met Nick Fury, who was supposed to die, and Salomon Damonet, who had been waiting here for a long time. Even Natasha Romanov, who was almost confused, had his eyes widened.

Steve Rogers looked at the two ulterior motives in front of him and seemed to want to ask something, but he was blocked by Nick Fury. He shut up and believed that he could get a correct explanation.

The doctor raised his eyebrows at Salomon. The secret wizard stood up and took over his next job. The doctor had seen how Salomon used a scalpel. That time, based on Nick Fury's trust, he asked this young man who was not qualified to practice medicine to take action. This time, he wanted to teach the young man to use medicine.

"You know, I promise that there will be no scars and will heal soon." Salomon put on latex gloves. Natasha Romanov glanced at him, smiled reluctantly, and let go of her hand following the wound. After a day of absence, she looked much haggard, pale and thirsty and cracked lips. After the doctor determined the dose of anesthesia, Salomon began this textbook-like rapid operation.

"Your prophecy is very powerful," Agent Romanov whispered, "we do understand what that is."

"Prophecy is not omnipotent." Even though he is busy, Salomon has the energy to answer. "Kama Taj specializes in prophecy and protection, what we see is possibilities," he said. "The possibility of parallel universes, but you can complete your own tasks no matter where you are."

"Did you predict that I was injured?" Agent Natasha Romanov asked meaningfully. Salomon did not answer. It took him a while before he put down his trait's ultra-fine hemostatic forceps and began to take potions from the dimensional bag.

"Yes, I know," he said. "Drink this, you've had several bottles in the past. Your ribs are injured, and if you don't get treated, you'll be out of breath in a few years."

"Spine injury, sternum fracture, comminuted clavicle fracture, liver perforation, and a fatal headache." Nick Fury, who was lying on the hospital bed, announced his condition to everyone while explaining their recent progress. Although he said he had suffered so many serious injuries, he looked lively, and Natasha's symptoms of blood loss were more serious than that of him.

Nick Fury looks like he can jump out of bed anytime.

"Don't forget, there is also a collapse of lung tissue." The doctor who examined the progress of Salomon's work added.

"Yes, this cannot be forgotten, otherwise it is very good."

"They performed a ripper on you, and your heartbeat stopped!" Natasha Romanov said in disbelief. After treatment, her face quickly rosy, and her hematopoietic function began to run at full speed, and positive energy replaced some nutrients to participate in cell operations. She turned her attention to Salomon, who was cleaning up medical waste, and she suspected that Nick Fury would contact the magician first than she did.

"That's what happened later. This guy can make me stand up. Don't rush to thank him. I gave him gold." Nick Fury said. "I used troglophorus toxin B, which can reduce your pulse to once a minute. Banner developed it to relieve stress. Although this thing has no effect on him, we found other uses."

"Why keep it secret?" Steve asked, "Why don't you tell us?"

"To make the assassination against the director look successful," said Agent Hill.

"You can't kill a dead person. What's more, I don't trust many people. In this case, I can't be sure who is trustworthy."

————————————

"You knew it long ago!" Steve Rogers called Salomon aside. In this barely dry passage, Steve felt that every mouthful of breathing had metal dust and fungal spores. The feeling of squeezing in the ragged and wet hut was back, and with him the memories of his past escape.

"You showed me that video, you knew who the Winter Warrior was long ago." He stared at Salomon. The passage was not very high, and the white light above his head filled Salomon's eyes with incandescent incandescent, which looked very different from humans. Steve Rogers stared at the boy who was taller than himself now, and he wanted to know an answer.

"Yes, I know." Salomon's tone was very cold, even with these ridiculous meanings, "But after I tell you, what can you do? I know what you think, Rogers, he's your only living friend. Hey, Sam!"

"I'm just here to see if you're okay." Sam put his hands in his pants pockets. He found that Steve Rogers looked pretty bad when he asked Salomon to go out, so he walked out to take a look at the reminder of Agent Hill to avoid arguing between the two. And he happened to hear news about "Winter Soldiers" - Winter Soldiers and a group of plainclothes militants attacked them on Virginia Avenue. Sam still couldn't believe that someone would use Gatling machine guns on the street.

It's really lucky that they can survive.

Steve shook his head and walked into the room. It seemed that he didn't really want to talk about that topic anymore.

"Hey, man!" Sam patted Salomon's arm familiarly, "Are you a doctor?"

"Maybe." said the secret wizard kindly, "Let's go, I believe Nick Fury will definitely not be idle. He has a task for you."

"He rejected the Nobel Peace Prize..." Before Nick Fury could say a few words, his words were interrupted by Salomon's laughter. The originally serious atmosphere of the meeting was broken, and Nick Fury rolled his eyes angrily. If he hadn't been in pain now, he would have been the first to jump up and beat Salomon.

"Okay, skip. I know what you want to say, little bastard." Nick Fury said, "Let's get to the point, about the Insight Plan. Steve, I know you don't agree with all the crime predictions..."

"This plan has been implemented long ago and is now running." Salomon smiled victoriously. "A talented programmer and algorithm engineer completed this work in advance. He turned the program into a black box and gave it to the National Security Agency. In the face of national terrorist incidents, the program will be informed in advance, and there are many similar programs running, which is nothing new."

"But there are no weapons installed on those programs," Nick Fury said. "I know about Polaris, and S.H.E.D. has also performed those tasks. But now that program has expired, S.H.E.D. wants a new one."

"Very good." The expression on the Secret Mage's face remained, "I have."
