Chapter 1700 Civilized World

The yellow-gray wild sheep surrounded the army of emperors and imperial guards, and the caravan loaded with mysterious machinery and cargo was pulled by several tamed wild horses. The dust raised from the horse's hooves almost covered the setting sun. Every shrub Miller saw was covered with thin dust. The wet air became cool because it was approaching dusk, but Miller did not feel relaxed. Despite the slow progress, the sounds and dust raised by the convoy as it ran through the plains could be seen a few kilometers away. He did not know whether humans of this era would be hostile to them.

He clumsily pulled the reins, squeezed past the hiking imperial guards and came to the front of the convoy. "Will we be attacked?" Captain Miller asked to the man sitting on the huge, winged pure daytime horse, "What this convoy has is a huge fortune in this era. If there are rulers in the places we are going to...will you kill those people? After all, you are going to take their children away, I believe the transaction process will not be too pleasant."

The emperor lowered his head and glanced at him, "Are you worried about grandfather's paradox, Captain?"

"I'm on a time trip for the first time. Are you expecting me to learn anything about time through Terminator?"

Miller was ready to endure mean words. After a brief time, he was used to the emperor's way of saying things. The deliberate concealment of information often made it difficult for people with strong self-esteem to bear it. What's more, the emperor concealed the supernatural events of the Event Horizon that took many of his companions' lives - fortunately he was not such a person. He is now in a strange era, and to return to his original time and space, he had to accept the emperor's conditions - he made up his mind that if they really had to face an interstellar war after they returned to the future, then he would resign after the war was over.

"Also, now I'm not the captain, I don't own any ship."

"You will have a ship." The emperor paused and changed the topic. "It's the Neolithic Age. Obviously, you missed this knowledge in the basic education stage. There was no established army in this era. Due to the change of the Earth's self-inclination angle, the former Sahara forests were degenerating into deserts, and the Mesopotamian Plain will also fall into drought in the future."

"I don't think any ethnic group would agree to trade the population with the sheep." Captain Miller looked sarcastically at the commander of the imperial guards who were with the emperor and the maid riding on another horse. He saw the scarily indifferent beautiful maid carrying the large caliber rifle behind his back, and the simple saddle bag filled with ammunition. "So will you solve this problem with violence? Use your super soldier and gun?"

"You are optimistic, Captain Miller. You don't have much respect for me, even if I save your life."

"I'm already in this era, what else can I do? I won't deny my freedom just because someone is wearing golden power armor, although I'm still grateful for your help." Miller spread his hands and tried to ignore the angry eyes that the maid was still here, almost piercing him. He was curious now whether the maid was also some kind of brainwashed super soldier, otherwise he wouldn't have an emotional reaction when he failed to maintain etiquette. "Now please tell me what's next, your Majesty, even though I know you won't promote democracy in this era, but I will close your eyes when you practice tyranny."

"They will be my people, Captain Miller, just like you, so I suggest you be polite." The emperor gently patted Tianma's neck, his huge wings spread out, and the dust raised made Captain Miller unable to help but squint his eyes and cough, so he did not see a prank smile on his maid's face. "Your job is not just to command the ship, Captain Miller, you also need education. Dinah will assist you in completing the work, be careful, she is very strict."

After a few days of walking and stopping, Captain Miller found that the horse's hooves could no longer raise dust.

There were lodging nettle lying in every caravan rut, and the air was filled with the fresh smell of broken grass. The hungry flock had no need to be guided to get rid of the salt in the caravan fleet and the dependence on the sheep (this unlucky guy has been tied behind the first caravan since he was lured by salt), and rushed to the lush grass growing on the moist land. While camping and resting, Captain Miller finally got a message from his maid.

The Imperial Guards' reconnaissance information showed that there was a large human village thirty kilometers away. This news made Miller's heart pound because the emperor had never made it clear that the action he was going to take. Captain Miller did not know whether the tribe would face a deal or conquest next. He did not want to see a bloody conflict, although the power to decide whether to decide bloody was not entirely in the hands of the emperor.

But even if the emperor sends out all the cows and goats, he cannot take away all the children of the age of a tribe. In any era, the number of children in a group almost determines the future of the entire group. No tribe ruler with normal intelligence will agree to this condition. He now only hopes that the rulers of those tribes will not be greedy for the huge wealth in the hands of the emperor, and do not cause unnecessary bleeding. The worst result is that the emperor kills all the people who resist in that tribe and leaves behind those who can obey him. Even if this behavior is completely in line with the barbaric logic of this era, Captain Miller still believes that he is a person from a civilized world, and the emperor should leave it to this world civilization rather than barbarism.

"We will arrive at that tribe tomorrow." The maid put her hand on the hilt of her waist and looked at him expressionlessly. Captain Miller had seen this weapon cut through steel and piercing the human body. She warned, "No one can deny the decision of my Lord, Captain, don't have any stupid thoughts."

First mate Stark simply tied his long golden hair into a ponytail, put on the blue and black uniform of the Punishment and walked out of the room. Lieutenant Cooper had been waiting outside the door for a while, and he was also wearing the blue and black uniform with a visitor pass around his neck. The only two of them were strangers on the ship, and the other crew members refused to disclose any confidential information to them, but it can be seen from the soldiers wearing full-environment combat uniforms on the bridge that the ship providing rescue must have its own purpose.

"Justin is in good condition." Lieutenant Cooper mentioned the unlucky guy who was sucked into space from the airlock. "Today he is going to undergo a second phase of tracheal reconstruction. The doctor told me that he may not be able to see it in the future unless he is willing to install bionic prosthesis. Where are you going today?"

"The captain invited me to the bridge." First lieutenant Stark and Lieutenant Cooper walked side by side. The passage of the Punishment was spacious and not as narrow as a similar hull. Since they came to the ship, their activities were strictly restricted and they had to undergo examinations every few days. From the most basic physical examinations, psychopathological examinations, psychochemical examinations and even hypnotic examinations, they performed no less than five times for the Rorschilles test alone, and each time they had to take many messy drugs. At first, Lieutenant Cooper refused to take the medicine, and was subdued by the soldiers several times before obeying. In addition, the drugs did not cause any side effects, so they gained limited freedom on the ship.

"So did that captain mention when we can return to Earth?"

"She only told me that they were going to perform a mission. The rescue mission was just one of the missions, Cooper."

"I thought they wanted a hyperspace engine."

"Will, a bitch, maybe, but that doesn't matter anymore." First lieutenant Stark sighed. "I doubt that even if we return to Earth, we can't go anywhere. Don't rush to refute me, Cooper, think about it. Our mission is only Houston, the Pentagon, the NSA and the White House know that Captain Miller is dead, Dr. Will has become a monster, and there are only wreckage left on the Lewis and Clark and Event Horizon. Do you think the auditors and agents at the hearing will accept this statement? Not to mention that we also accepted the help of the ship..."

Her voice became smaller and smaller, and even Cooper, who was not very sensitive to politics, could understand her ideas.

"We..." Lieutenant Cooper opened his mouth, and the smile on his usual face completely disappeared. He stammered, "...we can't go back?"

"We have to return to the United States through regular channels, and we may be arrested by agents as soon as we get off the plane." First lieutenant Stark said listlessly, "We are not aerospace heroes, and we are not again. We can only be traitors."

Passing through several air gates with the pass, the first mate Stark came to the bridge.

There was no small porthole like ordinary spacecraft. The cold sunlight shone through the huge floor-to-ceiling porthole on the black iron bridge. Tita, dressed in black armor and red robe, nodded to the eldest mate Stark and signaled that the latter would stand beside him. The first mate Stark turned to look at the soldiers wearing black full-environment combat uniforms on the bridge, and then walked forward carefully, standing one meter away from the sisters' chief, unwilling to approach.

"We are about to arrive at the combat position. Stark, you will be a witness."

Tita stretched out his hand and pointed to the holographic projection tactics beside him. Each light spot on it represents a ship. The chief of the sisters knew that the emperor was not particularly satisfied with these ships. Even though these almost automated space warships had the size of the main destroyers on Earth, it was still not enough for the emperor's future strategy and a little insufficient for a space battle. Despite this, this was also the result of the Mars space station dock doing its best. The original emperor sent people to take charge of Mars had more important tasks.

"War, whom? This is the edge of the solar system!"

"Of course it's the enemy who spys over the solar system." Tita looked at the eyes of the eldest mate Stark and said proudly, "This is the human universe, there is no living space for alien aliens. Those greedy aliens have already placed outposts on the edge of the solar system. We must completely eradicate them and cut off their hands that extend to humans. The politicians on Earth are still caring about their own interests. Only our Lord can discover the crisis facing humans. We will obtain evidence to let the idiots on Earth see the cruelty of this universe and let them see that only our Lord can lead humans forward."

The entire bridge, including the helm and the communications officer, was busy with their work. Even the Mars technician in red robe stayed in her position and whispered to several officers around her. The guy full of mechanical prosthetic bodies was extremely eye-catching, and the first mate Stark couldn't help but look at the man several times. She thought of Cooper telling her about Justin, and she didn't know if Justin would turn his eyes into ridiculous green round lenses like this person after installing the mechanical prosthetic bodies.

"Why me?"

"After establishing the landing site, you stand by me, you must witness the aliens with your own eyes." Tita didn't say anything, nor did she provide proof, but just let the first mate Stark stand foolishly. The existence of aliens in this world is no longer news. The two battles in New York and London show that there is more than one alien, but this time it is different - in the perception of other Earthlings, the New York War was due to some kind of technology that humans and aliens could not master, and the London invasion was some kind of accidental abnormal astronomical phenomenon (at least the media said, all countries that hold public opinion hegemony in this regard have a tacit understanding) - Now the aliens have reached the edge of the solar system and have established an outpost, which is an unprecedented distance. What's even more creepy is that the earth knows nothing about it.

First mate Stark can taste some crises from these simple information. This shows that these aliens who set up outposts on the edge of the solar system have super-light navigation and space construction capabilities. Today's humans have no ability to resist such opponents. Thinking of this, Stark felt at a loss, and she didn't know whether she could go home. She just stared at the many screens in the bridge and the stars outside the huge portholes. Tita occasionally glanced at her, not caring about what the woman was thinking.

A harsh alarm sounded suddenly, and all crew members accelerated their movements in an orderly manner as if they were plugged in with power.

"Radiation waves were detected, Captain!" the crew member turned his head and shouted, "The alien alien has discovered us!"

"Start the plan." Tita slightly increased the volume of sound and was not panicked. "Enhance the shield power and the loss management department is ready. The missile is ready, jump to help the troops board the ship." Obviously, everyone, including her, is quite familiar with this set of instructions. After nearly a hundred simulation exercises, all crew members can now perfectly execute the instructions in the shortest time.

"Where is the enemy?" The first mate Stark also tried to observe the target through the porthole, but she saw nothing, only the beautiful stars covered with dark voids and crowded with portholes. This made her begin to wonder if all this was a scam, and whether she would enter the studio later and see the aliens wearing special effects and makeup.

Tita didn't give her any attention.

Even though she knew that this was the emperor's plan, it always made her very uneasy that she could not see the emperor. Since she witnessed the emperor's spacecraft entering the vortex of Event Horizon crashing into Neptune's atmosphere, all the crew members could feel the irritability of all the girls in dark power armor on the ship, including this captain. If it weren't for the place on this ship that was specially designed for their training for them to vent their emotions, no one would know if they would pull out a chainsaw sword on one day. At this moment, Tita's hand covered with armor was holding the long sword at her waist tightly. She gritted her teeth and listened to the reports of officials from various departments on the ship. The miniature drone equipped with data boards was floating around, intuitively displaying the data provided by those departments.

It seemed that in just one moment, the entire porthole lit up with a nearly supernova explosion.

"Prepare to attack." Tita finally walked off the bridge commander, her face full of excitement. She couldn't wait to vent her anger for a while. "I will lead the team to assault."
