Chapter 90 Waiting for the Ship

The next day, early morning.

When Xia Ri was still dreaming on the bed, his door was suddenly knocked open.

Bang!

Xia Ri was startled and opened her eyes and found that it was Kogoro who rushed in like a burning butt.

"Boy! Get up quickly! We are about to miss the passenger ship back to Tokyo!"

When I heard this in summer, I felt completely sleepy.

Last night, they solved the case and sent off the helicopter of the Tokyo police. Because it was getting late, they had to rest in the hotel on Tsukikage Island for another night, preparing to take the only passenger ship back to Tokyo early this morning.

But what I didn’t expect was that because all of them had not had a good rest these days, they were tired and exhausted, including summer, they had overslept this morning!

Xia Ri turned over and got up, and quickly put on her clothes while complaining.

"I said Uncle Kogoro, if you hadn't patted your chest last night and promised us that you would have been able to get up early and wake us up today, we wouldn't have even had an alarm clock!"

"What's the point of blaming me now? Hurry up and hurry up and put on your clothes!"

Kogoro rolled his eyes, and after saying that, he kept running towards Xiaolan and Conan's room again. A few seconds later, he heard his violent slap in front of Xiaolan's room...

...

The sun rises, warming the entire island.

When the summer people rushed to the dock, they happened to see the back of the small passenger ship disappearing between the sea and the sky.

"Oh no!" Kogoro slapped his head and shouted unwillingly, "The ship has set sail, we are still one step late!!"

"Is this a step late?" Xiaolan stared at Kogoro with anger and criticized, "It's true that the ship has already driven far away. We have arrived at least twenty minutes late!!"

Kogoro's mouth moved, but seeing that Xia Ri and the other two looked unhappy, they still didn't dare to give up after hesitating.

"What should I do?" Kogoro said dryly, "I had already asked you for a day off from the school yesterday. It seems that I can't go back today. Why don't I just invite you one more day, right?"

"Things can only be like this now..." Xiaolan sighed helplessly, "Oh, we shouldn't believe you last night! We shouldn't have such great expectations for you!"

Kogoro smiled awkwardly, but he was very thick-skinned and because he had done too much of this kind of thing, he didn't care at all now.

Just when the summer was when the few people didn't know what to do, the old policeman walked over slowly with his hands behind his back from a distance.

"I thought you were gone, what's wrong? Didn't you catch the boat?"

Looking at the old policeman, Conan raised his face and asked, "Uncle, is this really the only passenger ship returning to Tokyo?"

"That's right." The old policeman nodded, "There is only this ship between Tsukishashima and Tokyo, but if you are anxious to go back, you might as well continue waiting here."

"Wait? What are you waiting for?" Xia Ri asked in confusion.

"Of course I'm waiting for the boat!" said the old police officer for granted, "If you are lucky, there may be other ships passing by here. If you discuss it, they should let you get on the boat."

"Other ship?"

Summer is skeptical. In the past two days on Yueying Island, he has only seen seven or eight small fishing boats entering and leaving the port during his two days on Yueying Island. Will other ships really pass by such a remote island?

The old policeman nodded again.

"I have lived on the island for more than 60 years. Usually, there are ships that occasionally pass here and stay here for a while, but this depends on luck. Maybe a ship will pass by in the next second, but it is also possible that within this month, there will be no shadow of a ship."

Kogoro frowned and said, "What, isn't this just guessing."

The old policeman smiled and said calmly: "Yes, that's why I said, I want to try your luck."

Seeing the old policeman's deputies who didn't care about him and were gloating, Kogoro really wanted to punch him in the face.

"Dad, what should we do?" Xiaolan asked in a low voice.

"Well..." Kogoro dragged his long voice in his mouth, but his eyes swept towards Summer.

"Then wait." Xia Ri said after thinking for a while, "Anyway, there is no other way. I think it's better to wait here. Maybe there's a boat passing by."

Kogoro, Xiaolan and Conan looked at each other. Because they had no better idea, they discussed it and agreed to continue to bet on luck here.

Although the hope is slim, if a boat really passes by, you don’t have to continue wasting a day on this small island.

After making up their minds, Xia Ri sat down on the bench at the dock. The old policeman had no other things to do, so he stayed with Xia Ri for a while. The few of them chatted and talked about some casual anecdotes on Yueying Island, which was also considered to have passed the boring time.

The sun rose high and slowly set westward.

At 2:00 pm, after lunch, they were impatient in waiting in summer and were a little discouraged.

It seems that they are not lucky. After waiting for so long, they haven't waited for a ship to pass by.

After patting his butt, Xia Ri and they turned around and were about to leave the dock, but Conan suddenly called them again.

"Wait a minute, you guys see there!!"

Conan's voice was filled with surprise. Xia Ri turned around and saw a ship several levels above the sea level slowly approaching Yuesha Island.

"There is a boat! There is a boat!!" Kogoro shouted happily, and kept shaking his arms towards the boat, as if he wanted to jump up to it immediately.

Because the distance is far, the people on the ship will naturally not see Kogoro, but fortunately it still sails towards the dock little by little.

When the ship approached the dock, Xia Ri realized that it was a five-story luxury ship. He was surprised. He didn't expect that they were so lucky and it would be worth the sea breeze they had blown for such a long time.

Xia Ri didn't know why this luxury passenger ship was docking on this small island, but it obviously made it convenient for them. After the passenger ship stopped in front of the dock, they all surrounded them.

The hatch opened, and a short and fat man in a suit and ties, about forty-five years old and somewhat bald, walked to the dock.

Before the man could stand firm, Kogoro had already run to him with a flattering look on his face.

"Sir, where is your destination? If it is convenient, I wonder if I can take us back to Tokyo?"
