Chapter 1(1/2)

The cell phone in the pocket vibrated twice. This was the fifth time in three minutes. Jiang Cheng opened his eyes.

The car has been driving for almost three hours, and the sky outside the car window is still very gloomy. The girl sitting beside her is still sleeping, her forehead is resting on his shoulders very firmly, and her right shoulder is already numb.

He shrugged his shoulders a little annoyed. The girl just turned her head. He pushed the girl's head away with his fingers, but within a few seconds, her head was pulled back to his shoulder.

This movement has been repeated many times, and he feels that the girl is not asleep, and the effect is like a coma.

Irritable.

He didn't know how long it would take to arrive at the station. He didn't check it when he got the ticket. He only knew that what he was going to was a small town that he had never heard of even before this trip.

Life is wonderful.

When the phone vibrated for the sixth time, Jiang Cheng sighed and took out the phone.

What's going on?

Why haven't you mentioned leaving before?

Why did he leave suddenly?

Why didn't you tell me?

Why, why, why, why, blablablabla...

The news was sent by Yu Xin, and I guess I couldn't make a call when I was making up for the lessons. I saw it all over the question marks.

When he was about to put his phone back in his pocket, the seventh message came.

If you don’t reply to the message, we will break up!

Finally it was no longer a question mark. He breathed a sigh of relief, turned off his phone and put it back in his pocket.

Breakup doesn't mean much to him. The love he had been in high school for two months was nothing more than what other classmates said. Someone brought you breakfast, and there was a dedicated cheerleading team for playing basketball... and didn't have time to develop to the level of being able to do anything.

Looking at the scenery outside the car window that was changing but always the same, Jiang Cheng's destination was finally reported on the radio. The girl next to her head moved, and it seemed that she was about to wake up. He quickly pulled out a red marker from his schoolbag, pulled out the cap and held it in his hand and turned it down.

The girl woke up, raised her face, and had a big mark on her forehead, as if she had practiced magical skills.

After meeting his eyes, the girl wiped the corner of her mouth, took out her cell phone and lowered her head while pressing her head, saying, "Sorry."

Didn't even hear any apology? Jiang Cheng smiled meaningfully at her, the girl was stunned, her eyes fell on the spinning marker in his hand.

Jiang Cheng put the pen cap on the pen and made a clicking sound.

Two seconds later, she suddenly covered her face, stood up and rushed towards the bathroom.

Jiang Cheng also stood up and looked out the window. It was so gloomy all the way here that it finally snowed. He took off his box from the luggage rack, put on his coat and walked to the car door, took out his cell phone and turned on.

The phone was very quiet, and Yu Xin's message did not ring again, nor did he missed it.

I feel that this is the most comfortable time for Yu Xin in these days, and it is not easy.

But no one other than Yu Xin has contacted him.

For example, he thought he would come to pick up the people on the site.

Following the crowd leaving the station, Jiang Cheng pulled the zipper of his down jacket to his head and looked at the city that looked gray in the cold winter.

The chaos and dilapidation around the railway station were his first impression of the city.

No, this is the second impression. The first impression is that his mother was confused when she said, "Go back, there is your real home."

He dragged his box to the southmost point of the station square. There were few people and there was a small street next to it, lined with small hotels that felt they could not get out after entering and small restaurants that felt they were poisoned after eating.

He sat down on his suitcase, took out his cell phone and looked at it again, but no one contacted him.

He had both phone numbers and addresses, but he just didn't want to move, didn't want to talk or move. He took out a cigarette from his pocket and held it in his mouth. He was filled with deep, inexplicable, confused, desperate, and angry that he would suddenly come here.

Staring at the ice on the ground, he touched the lighter from his pocket and leaned against the cold wind, shrank into a ball of cigarette and lit it. He sighed as he looked at the smoke floating in front of his eyes.

If the head teacher saw this, he would not know what he would say.

But it's okay. He is already here, a long distance. Not to mention the head teacher, even those who have lived in the same room with him for more than ten years may not meet again.

This small and broken school in a small and broken city, probably no one will stare at him whether he smokes or not.

Jiang Cheng was so cold that he couldn't stand it anymore after only half of the smoke. He stood up and planned to take a taxi and find a place to eat first. After dragging the box, he felt something hit his ankle. His strength was still quite strong, and it made him feel a pain.

He frowned and turned around and saw a skateboard behind him.

Then, before he could look up, he saw where the skateboard flew over, he fell to his feet.

"Why are you..." He reflexively reached out to help, but stopped halfway through his hand.

The messy hair was scattered, cut like a dog, long and short, and the clothes on her body were also dirty... Beggars? Homeless? Thief?

When the man raised his head, he realized that this was a girl who looked only in the fifth and sixth grades of elementary school. Although her face was covered with mud, she could tell that her skin was quite white and her eyes were very big.

However, before he could start his hand, the little girl was pulled away by four or five girls following him. Someone kicked her on the back from behind, causing her to stagger and almost fell down again.

Jiang Cheng immediately understood what was going on, hesitated for a moment, turned around and dragged his suitcase and continued to walk forward.

A burst of laughter turned behind him stopped again.

When he was in a bad mood, he was not willing to meddle in other people's business. He happened to be in a very special mood now and was very bad. However, the dark and clean eyes of the little girl with big eyes just now made him turn back.

"Oh!" he shouted.

Several girls stopped, and a look of their heads looked tilted: "What are you doing!"

Jiang Cheng dragged the box and walked over slowly, staring at the little girl who was still holding her big-eyed clothes. After staring for two seconds, the little girl let go.

He pulled his big eyes to his side and looked at the little girls: "It's okay, let's go."

"Who are you?" He took the lead and shouted a little timidly, but he still shouted dissatisfiedly.

"I'm the big brother with a knife," Jiang Cheng looked at her, "I can cut you a hairstyle that looks the same as her in thirty seconds."

"I'll ask my brother to come and deal with you later!" The person who took the lead was obviously not a habitual offender. He shrank a little when he heard this, but he was still dissatisfied.

"Then please tell him to hurry up," Jiang Cheng dragged the box with one hand and held his big eyes with the other, "I'm so scared that I'll run very fast."

Several little girls walked away, but their big eyes broke away from his hands.

"Are you okay?" Jiang Cheng asked.

Big eyes shook his head, turned around and walked to the skateboard two steps, stepped on it, and looked at him.

"Your?" Jiang Cheng asked again.

Big eyes nodded, and gently slid under his feet, slid to him on the skateboard, and then stopped steadily, still looking at him.

"Then... go home." Jiang Cheng nodded, took out his cell phone and wanted to call a car over while walking.

After walking for a while, he heard a sound behind him. He turned around and found that his big eyes were still following him slowly on the skateboard.

"What?" Jiang Cheng looked at her.

Big eyes don't speak.

"Afraid that they will come back?" Jiang Cheng asked again helplessly.

Big eyes shook their heads.

"No, are you mute?" Jiang Cheng began to feel a little annoyed.

Big eyes continued to shake their heads.

"I tell you, I," Jiang Cheng pointed to himself, "I am in a very bad mood now, very irritable. Do I know if I beat the little girl without any mercy?"

Big eyes didn't move.

Jiang Cheng stared at her for a while, and saw that she had no intention of speaking. He pressed the fire and dragged the box forward again.

The signal was not very good now, and the interface for calling the bus could not be opened. He sat on the stone pier next to the bus station and lit a cigarette.

Big eyes were still on the skateboard, standing next to him.

"Do you have something to do?" Jiang Cheng asked impatiently, regretting meddling in other people's business, causing himself an inexplicable trouble.

Big eyes still didn't say anything, but just gently pedaled the skateboard, slid under the bus stop sign next to it, and looked up with his face up for a long time.

When she returned to Jiang Cheng on the skateboard again, Jiang Cheng guessed the reason from her confused expression and sighed: "Are you lost? Can't go back?"

Big eyes nodded.

"Are you a local?" Jiang Cheng asked.

nod.

"Call your family to come and pick you up." Jiang Cheng handed her his cell phone.

She took the phone, hesitated for a moment, lowered her head and pressed it a few times, and then returned the phone back.

"What does it mean?" Jiang Cheng looked at a mobile phone number that had lost but had not dialed out, "I'll call you?"

nod.

"Fuck," Jiang Cheng frowned and pressed the dial. Listening to the dial tone in the receiver, he asked again, "Whose number is this?"

Before Big Eye could answer, someone answered the phone.

Of course, she probably won't answer, so Jiang Cheng "heat" the phone.

"Who?" There was a male voice over there.

"Passenger," Jiang Cheng didn't know what to say, "I have a little girl here..."

"No." said over there.

Before Jiang Cheng could come back to his senses, the phone hung up.

"Who is this person?" Jiang Cheng vomited out the cigarette and pointed at his big eyes, "Get out if you don't say anything, I'm out of patience."
