74. This Maris is Son!(1/2)
Nathanos' hunting camp is not the official camp of the Lordaeron Legion in Northrend. It is just a temporary camp set up by Marris to investigate the situation in Zul'Drak.
Although he is Lordaeron's official ranger general, his legion is currently still assisting the Arathi knights in Grizzly Hills to clear out the North Sea pirate stronghold there.
Maris didn't want to get involved in that battle.
He didn't want to be on the opposite side of Black, so he delegated the command of the human rangers to a few lieutenants, euphemistically calling it a "test of command."
Anyway, the emperor was far away today, and the lieutenants had no place to complain that Maris was not in charge of his duties.
Of course, General Nathanos has a very important personal reason for not going to fight and hunting in Zul'Drak all day long, besides being unwilling to beat up his brothers...
The ranger vanguard of Quel'Thalas have been operating within Zul'Drak recently.
This is something that few people know.
"I say you are a real failure as a licker!"
In Nathanos' "Hunting Lodge", Black held a glass of wine that had just been heated by the campfire and complained to Maris with a look of disdain:
"How long have you and Shiva been together? Haven't you pierced the window paper yet?"
"Who said no!"
Upon hearing this topic, Marris suddenly became unhappy. The human ranger general helped untie the rope of Sylvanas who was knocked unconscious, and complained softly:
"Not only did I take the initiative to say it, but I also... ahem, why am I telling you this? Damn it."
"Hey, the beagle finally got some meat?"
When the stinky pirate heard Maris' retort, he immediately came over with a smile on his face, patted his brother on the shoulder, and asked in a low voice:
"Let me guess, third base?"
"whispering sound."
Maris was obviously unwilling to discuss this issue with Blake, but after a few seconds of silence, he couldn't help but boast in a proud tone with the goddess in his arms:
"You look down on people, do you understand that the spear is stained with blood?"
"ox!"
Hearing this obscure metaphor, the pirate immediately raised his thumb with relief and waved at the brother who had made a big deal without saying a word. He said in a long voice:
"No wonder you, who have always been responsible, abandoned your own legion and came to Zul'Drak to hunt. I thought you were just a dog-eat-dog. After a long time, you really made some progress.
So what is the explanation for this relationship now?
Do you plan to choose a day to tell the world? Or do you want to continue to develop an underground love affair like this?"
"Oh, Shiva means to deal with it like this for now."
Maris also said with a headache:
"She said that the matter between the eldest sister and Grand Knight Turalyon, and the matter between the younger sister and Master Luoning have not been decided yet. It is not good for her to be the first to make it public. Also, she is a very traditional and conservative elf. She wants me to
First get Mrs. Lilesa’s permission and blessing.
But the last conversation I had with Ms. Windrunner wasn’t very good...
Mrs. Lilesa's eyes are too high, which makes me a little worried."
"Hey, don't say I don't take care of you."
Blake snorted, patted his chest and said proudly:
"I came to Northrend this time just to help Windrunner's mother do something big. I'll give you a chance to show your face in front of your mother-in-law. You must take advantage of it."
"Ha, I knew you were reliable."
Maris laughed and hit Black on the chest. The two drank a few drinks together. Nathanos put the unconscious Shiva on his bed, covered her with a quilt very considerately, and talked again.
Business.
"How did you meet Shiva? What happened to this seriously injured snow leopard goddess?"
Maris asked doubtfully:
"Did you inflict this injury?"
"You know me, brother. If I were the one to take action, how could the arrogant Hakea have a chance to survive? She would have become my little lover's top fur."
Blake snorted and glanced at the snow leopard goddess lying in the center of the big tent, seriously injured and unconscious.
Compared with the last time she talked to Blake, the Snow Leopard Goddess is really miserable now.
Her beautiful and luxurious fur had been stained by the blood of the gods and looked ugly. There was a terrible scar from her neck to her abdomen, which almost penetrated her Loa body.
This kind of injury is definitely not a casual sneak attack, it should be caused by a large-scale hunting.
"I actually don't know what happened."
The stinky pirate curled his lips and pointed at the scepter of Sargeras beside his leg, and said:
"When I teleported myself over, I happened to see Sylvanas and Haqua hiding in your tent, and then I knocked your goddess unconscious with a knife...
You know, the relationship between me and her is not very good, and I don’t want to mess up your tent. By the way, you have been here for so long, don’t you have any guesses about what is happening on this land? "
"You really want me to tell you?"
Marius shrugged.
He stroked his well-groomed beard, took out a bottle of Lordaeron wine he had collected from the corner of his tent, opened the lid and refilled Black's glass, poured himself a small half glass, and then sat by the small campfire.
To the Pirates said:
"If you ask me, either the troll priests under the crazy Frost King Malak attacked the Snow Leopard Goddess, or that crazy pirate Gaboya started hunting gods again.
You may not know that in the past half month, the entire territory of Zul'Drak has been attacked by undead natural disasters, and as many as four Loa gods have fallen from the trolls!
This land has begun to change."
The human ranger general said in a serious tone:
"The first was the castle of Draxalon, which was attacked by the undead and fell within three days. The wind serpent god Salonya who was guarding it and known as the 'prophet' was the first to be killed by the undead.
It is said that its divine power was seized by the troll pirate Gaboa who helped the evildoer.
Then there was the serpent god Siletus. He and the troll clan he protected were the second force to be destroyed by the undead, in the early morning of the third day after the fall of Draxalon Castle.
The giant snake Loa fell into the endless sea of undead, and Gaboa seemed to have used evil power to seize its divine power.
However, the third Loa who fell on this land has nothing to do with the undead."
At this point, Nathanos frowned and said:
"The patron saint of wise men, the wind serpent goddess Quesluen, was killed by her own followers. I personally went to the destroyed temple a few days ago to see it.
I heard shocking news from those Drakkari priests who escaped the massacre.
It is said that the Frost King Malak, who was overwhelmed by the undead, asked the local Loa to support him in the war as he was losing ground on the front line.
But the Loas rejected it.
The Loa explained the power of the undead to Frost King Malak. They claimed that the leader of the undead possessed a terrifying artifact of death and was an invincible existence.
But the irritable Frost King believed that the Loa were usually supported by the trolls, but they were unwilling to contribute their own strength when Drakkari encountered the crisis of genocide. The North Troll King was so angry that he was rejected even after three requests.
Even when they refused, I don’t know which genius came up with the idea. In short, the Northland trolls who were forced to a dead end raised their butcher’s knife against the weak Loa.”
Maris probably thought of the horrific scene he saw, he shook his head and said:
"I saw with my own eyes those crazy troll priests extracting divine power from Quesluen's huge corpse, pouring that divine power into their strongest warriors, and artificially creating 'spiritual warriors'.
Frost King Malak relied on this brutal method to allow his legions to withstand the attack of the undead army on the western battlefield.
Quethrun was only the first loa to be killed, and her death meant something very bad was happening.
In the past few days, I have been conducting reconnaissance activities around Zul'Drak. According to what I have seen with my own eyes, the local trolls have imprisoned the remaining living loa in evil ways.
The escape of the snow leopard goddess Hakeya is probably related to this incident."
Maris glanced at Hakea, who was lying beside him and was seriously injured, and said with a sigh on his face:
"If the dark things that happened in Zul'Drak were reported back to the Eastern Continent, no one would believe it. Who would have thought that the always noble demigods would be slaughtered like fish on the chopping board?
The worst thing is that they can't even escape.
They are bound to this earth, they live because of it, and they will die because of it.”
"What's so tragic about this?"
Blake sat by the campfire and curled his lips and said:
"The Frost King Malak was right.
Zul'Drak, a poor place, supports seven Loa gods, which is already overloaded. The Drakkari trolls live a miserable life, and they have to sacrifice their best prey to the Loa gods.
Something happened now and we need their help.
As a result, the Loas shrank in disgrace one by one. If it were me, I would squeeze them dry and take back whatever they eat and drink from me!
It can only be said that these Loa are accustomed to being arrogant, and they really thought that the cruel and barbaric Frost Troll would offer them up as a sacrifice when they were about to die.
You deserve it.”
