Chapter 31: Little Damage

After comforting Linda who was lost, Colin washed up and lie down on the stairs, waiting for time to pass slowly.

In the bedroom, the candles on the desk had been blown out. The hazy moonlight penetrated through the glass window and sprinkled on Colin, making him seem to have become a god.

The "god" turned over and lay on his side towards the window, then stretched out his right hand and grabbed his left butt, rubbed his left foot with his right foot, and yawned.

"Thanks Brian, if you hadn't made Smith unemployed, our family wouldn't have found that Smith was a real genius." Colin remembered Brian's provocative words last time, but at this moment he felt pleasant and could not help but curl up slightly.

After a long time, Colin suddenly sat up, lit the candle with a flint, and pulled up the blue curtains on both sides of the window. He quickly came to the bottom of the attic, opened the stairs and planned to go up.

"Dongdongdongdongdongdong." A knock sounded outside the door, and Colin was startled. Could it be that my secret was discovered?

"Colin, I can't sleep." Linda's voice was a little pitiful.

"What's wrong, sister?" Colin exhaled, carefully put the ladder back, turned around and walked towards the door.

"You have become an apprentice of the magician. Smith may have bronze blood. I feel like I'm dreaming. I'm afraid that after I fall asleep, I will wake up from my dream." Linda said in a complicated tone.

"Sister, don't worry, this is true, everything is true. I will sooner or later become a wise and great magician, and Smith will become a strong and handsome knight sooner or later. Go to bed quickly, you must know that staying up late is not good for your skin." Colin felt ache in his heart, and he quickly pulled the door handle, intending to open the door.

"I want to sleep with you." Linda suddenly said.

"Ha?" Colin's hand holding the door handle shivered slightly, and then asked carefully: "Sister, what did you say?"

"I'm going to sleep with you," Linda said in a very certain tone.

Colin's face changed drastically. He didn't want to sleep with Linda in his arms. He was abused a lot when he was a child. This guy not only snores but also drools when he sleeps.

Colin decisively went back to bed, picked up his big pillow, opened the door and stuffed the pillow into Linda's arms with lightning speed.

"You hold this to sleep." Colin closed the door with a touch.

"You bastard, you won't die if you let me hug you." Linda stayed for a long time, then roared.

Colin refused to open the door until Linda seemed tired and left, and he let out a breath. Then he came to the bottom of the attic, opened the ladder, went up to the attic, took off the materials, magical tools, and began to make basic power potions.

Monday.

The dark clouds seemed to be an invisible layer of darkness covering the sky. Without the awakening of the sun, Colin slept for a while more than usual.

After he got up, put on his clothes and went downstairs, he greeted Linda, who had dark circles in the kitchen, and went to wash up.

After breakfast, amid Linda's weak cheering, Colin put on the training sword in his backpack and went to school.

Coincidentally, Colin met Brian at the school gate. He also carried a black schoolbag and held his training sword tightly in his right hand. Next to him was his good friend Charle.

Colin looked at the two of them, his mouth slightly raised and walked up.

Brian and Char also noticed Colin. Char took a small step back and showed fear in a cowardly manner. Brian subconsciously wanted to retreat, but when he thought of his new backer and the blow to the Russell family, he couldn't help but feel confident and looked at Colin with his head held high.

"Do you want to beat us? You know that it's one thing to compete in training classes, but it's another to bully classmates in the academy." Brian narrowed his eyes and said provocatively.

"No. How could I beat you up? Thank you for not having time." Colin shook his head, his tone was quite light. He came up and patted Brian's left shoulder intimately, and sincerely thanked: "Thank you, Brian classmate."

After saying that, Colin did nothing else and walked into the college gate with light steps humming a small song.

Not much harm, but extremely insulting.

Brian's face suddenly turned into a pig's liver color, his fists were clenched tightly, and he turned around and stared at Colin's back, hoping to tear it to pieces.

"Brian, didn't you let your father walk around the Treasury and remove Smith Russell from his position as Treasury? But why did he look so happy? Thank you?" Char said incredibly.

"He is humiliating me." Brian gritted his teeth. He did not know the truth, of course he did not know the source of Colin's happiness, and only thought it was humiliation.

"This bastard." Char was stunned and then cursed.

"But he can't jump for long. Without Smith Russell's salary, he can't make up for the tuition next year. Let's bear it, just endure it this year." Charfu sneered again.

"Yes." Brian immediately felt much better, and a sneer appeared on the corner of his mouth, and he entered Will Knights Academy with Char.

In the classroom, the students gathered together to chat in groups of three or three in the classroom, and many of them even occupied the aisle.

After Colin walked in and headed straight for his seat, the students who occupied the aisle separated like waves, as if a evil tiger had come from a group of sheep.

Colin didn't care, so he came to the seat and sat down, stuffed his schoolbag into the desk. Bill leaned over and said to Colin, "Brian is going to get rich."

"Oh, what do you mean?" Colin asked with a brow raised.

"The war in the eastern part of the empire was not going smoothly, resulting in the breaking of some cities and a large number of refugees pouring into the empire's hinterland. Now the empire's food is not only for the army, but also for the refugees." Bill looked at Brian and said softly.

Colin suddenly realized that Brian's family was a big grain merchant. Brian's father, rich businessman Kbil, was also the vice president of the Will City Food Association. Originally, this war that took place in the eastern part of the empire would lead to an increase in food prices. Now, the Imperial War is unfavorable, and there is a wave of refugees, and the prices will rise even more.

If a grain merchant doesn’t make a fortune, who will make a fortune?

"It's going to rain, and my mother wants to get married. I deserve his family to make money in war, so what can I do?" Colin shrugged and said without caring.

"It's going to rain, my mother wants to get married? What's the saying? I've seen the rain for more than ten years, but I haven't seen my mother want to get married?" Bill was stunned for a moment, but he was already very accustomed to the sudden words that Colin said suddenly.

"Aren't you angry? This guy just made your Smith lose his job and is going to get rich again." Bill calmed down and asked.

Colin didn't answer the question, but turned to look out the window.

How should he solve a problem with a civilian who has a great influence in Will City and is very rich, and is the vice president of the Food Association?
