Chapter 9 Busy Xiao Wu
"I said Xiaofeng, it's time to pay the rent."
At noon, the landlord's wife saw that Fengdie's room window curtains were tightly pulled and the door was closed. She knew that such women had to go out to pick up customers in the afternoon, so she knocked hard without hesitation.
After knocking a few times, there was no sound in the room.
The landlord’s wife is popular: “Ha, I said yesterday that I can have money to pay the rent today. Why do you pretend to be dead in the house? Open the door, Xiaofeng opens the door! Don’t think that you can’t pay if you don’t open the door! You’ll have to delay for a month!”
The landlord's wife's fat hand slapped the door a few more times, but the room was still quiet.
The landlord's wife pushed the door hard. She thought the door was locked inside and it was a bit too hard. She fell in because of inertia and fell on a hard thing. She looked down and saw a tragic scream: "It's dead!"
Xiao Wu and his men rushed to Zizhu Lane. He was far away and heard the landlord's wife shouting loudly: "Oh, I just opened the door and didn't hold her back all at once. How could I know that she died on the ground? What kind of evil did I do? How could I rent this house? Xiaofeng, Xiaofeng, you really hurt people. You owe me rent while alive, and you even cheat me if you die."
Xiao Wu frowned and walked over. When he saw that it was a short and fat woman sitting on the ground crying and screaming. The woman was wearing a tight cheongsam, which was strangled from her chest to her waist, shaking like a fairy grass. When he saw the police coming, he jumped up from the ground and rushed towards Xiao Wu flexibly. Xiao Wu was frightened and worried that he would be hit by the woman who was like a mountain of flesh, and snot and tears. He hurriedly hid to the side. The woman staggered and stood up, crying and shouting: "Sir, policeman, you have to make the decision for me."
Xiao Wu was so excited that he wiped his forehead with sweat, thinking that if he hadn't known that you were the landlord, he would have thought it was your relative who died.
"What's going on?" Xiao Wu was too lazy to comfort him, so he asked his police officers to drive the onlookers back, and walked over and lowered his head to the body crawling on the ground.
The deceased was dressed intact and had two deep marks on his neck. He unbuttoned the cheongsam and looked at it. The part of his body next to the ground had already appeared. Then he looked at the stiffness of his arms and legs. It was initially judged that he was strangled to death last night. There were some water marks on the ground, which smelled bad. It should have flowed out of the bladder when he died.
"Is this your tenant, your body?"
Xiaowu looked at the landlord's wife.
"Yes, I asked Fengdie to ask for rent. Mr. Police, a man who cheated people, owed me a month's rent. Last night, I told me that I must have money today and asked me to wait for her to wake up at noon to get the money."
"The deceased is called Fengdie? Wake up at noon?" Xiao Wu was a little confused. The landlord's wife covered her bloody mouth with a veil, looking disgusted: "Oh, she does that kind of business."
"That kind of business?"
"Oh, it's just a flesh-and-law business. Mr. Policeman, you're so bad. You know, you're still teasing someone." The landlord's wife looked shy. Xiao Wu was so scared that she grinned the boss, as if she was swallowing a fly: "You keep talking."
"I knocked on the door but no one agreed. I just thought I didn't see this little hoof coming out in the morning. She slept until noon every day and went to the street to solicit customers in the afternoon. She must have been hiding in the house without saying a word. I pushed it hard and the door opened. As a result, she just lay here. Mr. Police, I'm so timid, I really scared her to death." The landlord said, grabbing Xiao Wu's arm and shaking up and down.
Xiao Wu struggled to break free from her claws and continued to ask: "Has anyone come to her last night?"
The landlord's wife shook her head: "I don't know. I went to bed early last night and didn't pay attention. The door outside our slum is always open and never closed."
"I saw a man in a long gown and top hat knocking on her door!"
A man watching suddenly shouted.
"How did you see it?"
"I heard someone knocking on the door, and I saw it just so I didn't close. Oh, I live diagonally opposite Xiaofeng."
As soon as the man finished speaking, he stretched out a hand next to him and pinched his ear: "Okay, you, it turns out that you look at Xiaofeng through the crack of the door every day!"

As soon as the man finished speaking, he stretched out a hand next to him and pinched his ear: "Okay, you, it turns out that you look at Xiaofeng through the crack of the door every day!"
His wife was right aside, and pulled his ear home.
The man defended: "I just heard the knock on the door and looked at it. I never looked at it. Her half-old Xu Mom is not as young and beautiful as my wife."
His wife was angry and laughed, and when everyone saw her, she blushed and spat.
Xiao Wu hurriedly stopped the man and asked, "Do you see the face of the person who came last night?"
"No, I live diagonally opposite her, and I can only see the man's back. He seems to be a little thin and about the same height as me. He goes in as soon as the door opens. I think he is Xiaofeng's regular customer, so I don't care, and I don't know when the man left."
Xiao Wu thought that the man in the long robe was suspected of murder last night, but the deceased was a street warbler. The people he contacted every day were too complicated. There were more customers wearing long robes and top hats. Where to find them?
He could only send Fengdie's body to the forensic doctor's office for examination first. He walked around the room with his hands behind his back and saw several long small stones beside the table.
Xiao Wu bent down and picked up the stones, shook them and asked the landlord’s wife: “What are you doing?”
"How do I know?"
The landlord looked at the house and asked carefully: "Isn't it the walnut smasher?"
If the walnuts were smashed, there would be no walnut skin in the room.
Xiao Wu couldn't figure out the function of these stones, so he could only let his police officers take pictures of the stones.
The policeman who took the photo smiled and said, "This is not a gold bar, what's the use of taking pictures? He can't kill anyone and can't be used as a murder weapon. Maybe he just threw it there casually, right?"
"What did you say?"
Xiao Wu asked with the stone in his hand.
"Twist it there."
"No, it's the previous sentence you said this is not a gold bar."
"Yes, it's not a gold bar. Although it looks a bit like a gold bar and it can't kill anyone, I don't know what to do with this."
Shaped like a gold bar!
A light flashed in Xiao Wu's mind. He wondered if it was possible that this thing was actually pretending to be a gold bar? Because the deceased swore that day that he would have money to pay the rent tomorrow. This regular customer might be an old lover. The deceased thought that the old lover would give him a lot of money, but he didn't expect that the old lover and she used stones to deceive her and left in a hurry. Of course, Fengdie did not fight with the two, and the man strangled her to death with a rope.
A policeman put the body in a cloth bag and was lifting it out, shouting: "Give it one, let it one, let it one."
Xiao Wu thought of the corpse being dressed neatly, with no other scars on his face except for the neck, and it didn't seem like he had acted with someone before his death. So what did that regular customer come to do last night?
Xiao Wu summoned his police officers and nearby patrol officers to vigorously find regular customers of the deceased Fengdie. He did not leave any of them and took them to the police station.
