Chapter 10 The past of the stuffy oil bottle

In the early 20th century, the United States experienced a period of rapid development after the "World One", and American explorers and expeditions could be seen all over the world. Nepal and Bhutan, the small countries under the Himalayas in Southeast Asia, have a large number of trade activities full of various smells, among which Americans account for a large part.

There is a mixed horse team composed of Indians, Bhutanese and Chinese people resting in an inn. There are all kinds of people in the inn, as well as French merchants from North Africa, conveying some information that cannot be identified in the wars near the nearby border.

In the horse team, four people seem to be core personnel, and the composition of the horse team can be seen from the identities of these four people. There are two leaders in the Indian team, two are two brothers; the leader of the Bhutanese is a bald person; while there is only one Chinese, his name is Dong Can, which is a pseudonym.

Dong Can's original name was Zhang. He was a businessman who was active on the Chinese border. He was a member of a large family in China. He originally had a horse team, but the route from Nepal to Tibet, China was cut off by various foreign forces and local tyrants. He now followed the Indians and Bhutanese teams to conduct some small border trade.

Dong Can's goods were very special. These goods were actually not worth much in the war years, but they were still unsatisfactory. Many of them were freighted more than their value. Dong Can's trip was just earning a commission for bringing goods by himself.

Dong Can has a very Tibetan face, which brought great convenience to his local activities. In the Himalayas, various forces are mixed, and a single-handed businessman is quite dangerous. Dong Can is a very smart person. He does a very good job in this area and can often get away with it when speaking Tibetan.

The horse team rested in the post station for twelve days before collecting all the necessary supplies. After a rare good weather, they entered the Himalayas and began to march towards China.

This is the last news their friends know about them.

After that, the horse team, seventeen people, seven Indians, nine Bhutanese and one Chinese disappeared into the Himalaya no-man's land. This is actually quite normal. There are countless caravans who died in that area from ancient times to the present. However, they caused high tension among the Indian authorities.

There is no reason for this kind of nervousness. Of course, there must be one reason, but it is too early to say it now. The reason given by the Indian authorities at that time was that the two Indians were actually Indian intelligence personnel. They knew a big plan, but both of them disappeared without understanding.

Dong Can and his party must have walked into the Himalayas and took the wrong path. They did not walk out of any exit, but went to the deepest part of the mountain, as if they had died inside.

However, the real situation is not the case. Ten years later, two Bangladeshi merchants were discovered to be the two Indians that year. They died in a fight in Bangladesh. These two unlucky guys were beaten to death by the loser while gambling. Their identities were no longer poor merchants in the Zooma team, but a pair of very wealthy rich brothers in the local area. At the end of this year, someone recognized a low-key rich man in Sikkim, the Bhutanese leader and the bald man.

Dong Can did not appear, but the appearance of the other three people obviously made the authorities realize that things were not that simple.

The horse team back then did not seem to die in the Himalayas. They all seemed to be alive, and they changed their names and lived in another identity. Moreover, they all have a common characteristic, which is that they have become quite rich.

It is said that when the authorities arrested the bald Bhutanese, their property was transported by truck and not completed ten times.

When the Bhutanese were interrogated, they revealed what happened in the Himalaya.

At that time, after they went deep into the Himalayas, they encountered a particularly terrifying landslide at an intersection, so they had to choose another road to move forward. At that time, there was a lot of wind and snow in the mountains. They did not notice that after several rounds, they returned to the landslide and fell off the cliffs on the side of the road while climbing.

Anyone who has watched the documentary knows that if you want to walk that section of the road, you can only hike. All the animals that can be used to carry luggage are connected with ropes. The connection of ropes is particularly particular, and the knots are tied very different. On too slippery road sections, the ropes must be untied. Dong Can and his friends were wrong in their judgment of the road conditions, so when a person fell into a cliff, all the people were pulled down by the ropes.

It was a tragic accident, in which countless things happened and could not be recorded one by one. Because of the rope, the process of falling on the cliff was very complicated. Many people were killed by the rope because of the inertia after the rope was hung, and they directly hit the rock wall due to inertia, while some people were strangled to death by the rope, which was very terrible.

This accident caused them to lose half of their people and animals. After resting under the cliff, they found it impossible to climb up, so they wanted to find other roads to return to the cliff. As a result, they walked directly into an area that had never entered before and found a strange place inside.

It was a valley. Strangely, the snow in the valley was not thick. In the center of the valley, there was a huge sphere, as high as three or four floors, with the upper half covered by snow, but it was still clearly seen below that it was a large black metal ball.

On the edge of this large metal ball, they found countless small metal balls about the size of eggs in the thin snow, with thousands of numbers. These small balls vary in size, and with the cover of snow, they cannot count the number at all. If all the snow is removed, the Bhutanese would probably be the same as when children are playing naughty castles today.

They could no longer remember who first discovered that some of these balls were made of gold. They tried their best to collect them and exchanged all the goods for these golden balls.

During the process of picking up, they found that the balls there were made of many kinds of metals, copper, iron, and lead, and it seemed that all the metals in the world were available here.

Everyone went crazy because there were so many balls, so it took patience to find the golden ball from it. Later, a robbery accident occurred, and someone was injured in the accident.

After that, they left the valley with great difficulty, and in the end there were only six people who survived. In addition to two Indians and one Bhutanese, there were two friends and Dong Can. Dong Can was the only one among them who had not taken anything away. At that time, his eyes were all on the big ball, as if he had been caught with his soul. He had no interest in the gold all over the mountain.

The Bhutanese said that the huge black ball was placed in the middle of the valley, and it was artificial at first glance. But he couldn't understand what the black ball had to do there and who placed it. All metal balls had serious wear and oxidation, and it had been placed there for at least thousands of years.

After the Bhutanese were free, they recorded all the incredible things. He wrote a book and made many unrealistic inferences in it. Among them, he claimed that most of his wealth was earned by himself, and that the gold was nothing more than the funds he started.
