Chapter 19 Reappearance of Ghost Voices
Chapter 19: The ghost sound reappears
I was scared to death in an instant, but before I could react, we were pulled by the vines on our bodies, and the two of us were slamming in the air, and the dog chewed the shit and slept into the water below.
I fell into a mess. When I got into the water, I almost slapped it into the water. It felt like someone was slapped hard with a hot water bag filled with water. Fortunately, the water was cold, otherwise I would have been vented on my back.
After a few slaps, I floated up again. I hurried to find the fat man, thinking that it was going to be bad. This pool is the place with the strongest black gas. The fat man has already fallen to death. He fell to death for a few more sips of water here, and it would be dead. In addition, I don’t know what the black shadow just now was. If it was a swamp monster, even I would hang up.
I had vines tied to my body and couldn't even move smoothly. Even if the fat man could stand up, I couldn't move him back to the tree. Moreover, although I don't know why the black gas in the tree seemed to have no severe impact, it was still a question whether I could withstand such a high concentration.
But when I looked out of the water, I found something was wrong. One was that the black gas around blocked most of the light, and the visibility was lower than when it was foggy; the other was that the entire swamp was filled with rolling mud and water, which was turbid, and there was no bottom of the water at all. The fat man didn't know where he was.
I listened everywhere and there was the sound of blisters. I obviously felt that the water flow was so anxious that I couldn't hold my body steady. I was surprised. After careful feeling, I found that it was not just a problem with the water flow. The vines on my body were originally wrapped around the branches. Now the branch as thick as a man had been washed downstream by the water flow. All the pulling force was pulled onto the vines and took me downstream.
People who have not swim in natural rivers will not understand this feeling. Water is a very heavy thing. Even if the water flows slowly, it is very difficult for you to fix your body in it. Moreover, there is such a big thing pulling me in front. After looking around, you have already stumbled forward for several meters.
At this time, I became even more anxious. I could no longer see clearly the situation around me. There must be a wellhead in front. I don’t know how big it is. If this branch rushes into the well, the tension may pull me off at once, and I don’t even have the strength to resist. Moreover, the remains like the beast mouth are not far away. This process will definitely not take long. Don’t talk about finding a fat man or being careful of the black shadow. It would be nice to leave a whole body!
Thinking of this, I immediately took a deep breath, dived into the water, and untied my vine. However, the vine was pulled very tightly by the huge pulling force, and it was impossible to untickle it. When I touched the dagger, I found that I didn't carry it at all.
I thought to myself, "It's over." I remembered that the fat man was always carrying his weapons, so I went to find the fat man. He plopped along the way, and there were vines on his body, so I went to touch him in the water.
The water was covered with mud, and it was all over the place, and it was almost impossible to touch anything. However, the fat man was big and would never float farther than me. I tried my best to fight the thrust of the water, and finally touched another tense vine. I grabbed the vine and leaned over. Suddenly, I saw a black shadow floating on the water two or three meters ahead, hazy and unable to see clearly what it was.
I felt a little scared in my heart. Looking at the shadow floating, I knew that this was the underwater monster shadow I just saw. I had a little ominous premonition in my heart. The end of the vine was this shadow. I thought to myself, could the fat man have been eaten by it?
The water depth was only more than two meters, and the black shadow protruded to the water surface was very high. Obviously, it was not a fish. What was it? I pulled the vines and was hesitating about what to do when I saw the shadow tremble, suddenly changed its shape and disappeared under the water. Then the vine in my hand suddenly loosened.
I knew it was terrible. It found me. Just as it was about to turn around, a huge ball of mud and water exploded from the swamp. I saw a pair of big sows coming towards my neck like lightning.
"Fuck your grandpa!" I cursed, thinking that this is something, but it was too close to me, so I could not avoid it. Seeing that the giant turtle was about to clamp to my neck, at this moment, the power on my waist suddenly tightened, and I was suddenly pulled away by the vines, just to avoid it. I was about to say "God bless", but I found that the power on my waist became extremely domineering. When I turned around, I saw that I had been pulled near the ruins. The beast-faced stone sculpture was behind me, with a huge mouth open, and the vines had fallen into my mouth, and the roaring sound of water could be heard.
I knew that the branch that was pulling me had fallen into the well, and I thought to myself: God, are you playing tricks on me? I immediately grabbed the rock on one side with my hand, roared and fixed my body, feeling that my waist was almost broken. In the meantime, water splashes exploded behind me, and the thing came again. I thought to myself, and my hand immediately took off, and passed through the mouth of the beast. My eyes went black, and my body was empty, and I fell down.
At that moment, the sounds around me disappeared. The mine lamp on my waist turned with my spinning body, passing through the darkness around me. I flipped around and saw the well walls filled with gullies and mud and water splashed around me. However, the fall did not last long for many seconds. I bumped into something on my back, and I almost vomited blood. Before I could recover, my back was empty again. I turned around again, and then my shoulders bumped again. The underground was not vertical, as if there was a slope, with protrusions like extremely round steps washed by water. I rolled and fell down all the way.
After three or four times, I was completely fainted. It was not until I fell into the water and drank more than a dozen sips of mud and water before I struggled to poke out of the water. I found myself in a narrow shaft wrapped in an extremely rapid current of water, rushing towards a place very quickly.
The surroundings were pitch black and the narrow feeling was told by the violent roar of the water flow. You could touch the wall of the shaft, but you couldn't catch anything. Fortunately, I tied the mine lamp around my waist before, but in such a hurry, as long as you move a little, your movements will be completely chaotic, and you will even be directly turned by the turbulent flow that hit the wall on the well, so I didn't dare to act rashly, and I could only try my best to maintain my posture.
Not long after, I heard a more violent sound of water coming from the front. It was simply the roar of a water dragon, deafening. I was shocked and wanted to say, "Fuck! It must be another downhill." But in the second thought, I was empty under my body, and then I fell more than a dozen times, and found that I had fallen into a hole. At this time, the water flow slowed down and I could control my body.
I immediately took out the mine lamp and looked around. I found that this was an underground reservoir. A huge water flow was rushing down from the entrance of the shaft on the wall of the pool. It seemed like I was looking at the flood discharge entrance of the dam. The water splashed around and the sound was deafening. I suddenly felt like a cockroach flushed out of the toilet, and now I was washed into the septic tank from the feces.
I fluttered a few times and found that the water flow was still slowly flowing in one direction. I swam over and the mine lamp shone. I saw another animal head on the well wall, and the water flow was still left inside the beast's mouth. However, this beast was different from the one above. Obviously, it was just a diversion reservoir to store floods to prevent the well wall from being washed too hard. Around the beast's mouth, I saw huge, ferocious dead branches almost blocking it. These should have been washed down from the outskirts of the swamp for many years and accumulated here.
The branch that was pulling me was stuck on it, and something was hanging on it. I took a closer look and found that it was a fat man, and he was washed down.
After returning from Hainan, my swimming skills improved by leaps and bounds, and I didn't feel that it was very difficult to move in the water. I blew a few times, swam to the pile of dead branches, and climbed up the side. I saw that the vines on the fat man were stuck in the mixed branches outside the branches, which made him not sink into the water. The majestic sound of water here was much farther away, and my ears could finally hear the movement.
I dived down the branch and arrived at the fat man's side. I saw that his face was blue, his breath was weak, and his pulse was almost impossible to touch. I dived again, hugged his feet onto the dead branches, and pushed his belly with my shoulders. After a few strokes, he vomited, a ball of mud and water. Then I massaged him on his chest with my elbow. When the fat man choked on the water, he actually reacted and coughed.
I was delighted, thinking that if there was a reaction, there was a way to go. I immediately pushed harder, but I had no strength after a few strokes. I came up and took a breath, and thought: This is not possible. If the fat man does not have artificial respiration, he will die. I must drag him out of the water and let him lie flat on the branch.
If I want the fat man to go up, I must go up first, so I started to climb those dead branches. Unfortunately, the branches on the edge did not have enough support. As long as I went up, I would press the entire branch into the water, and there was a risk of rolling over. If the branches rolled over, the fat man would be crushed into the water, which was equivalent to killing him. Moreover, most of the branches were thorny branches. If the movement was a little bigger, they would hit the spikes, which made me cry, and the branches inside were rotten and weak, and could not bear the force at all.
During those few minutes, I didn't know how many times I climbed, and all the branches were trampled and slipped down between two and three steps. Finally, I found in despair that with my personal strength, I would never be able to climb up at this position. The places where the branches looked as strong as a mountain were actually extremely fragile and could not be treated by others. They could only get out of water in less than half a meter, but this half meter was like a chasm, and I could not cross it.
This sense of despair is too strong. If there is a cliff in front of me, it would be fine, but it is this kind of branch. I suddenly felt like God was playing with me.
I climbed a few more times, and my hands were broken. I realized that it would be impossible to do it by tyranny, so I held the fat man, cut off the vines with his dagger, and moved the branches to the edge, trying to find out if there is any easier place to climb on the rock wall here, and it is best to have a place to work with.
There was no way to countercurrent here, so I pushed the fat man hard to bypass the protruding branches like thorns. Suddenly, I saw a dry shaft entrance on the rock wall on the other side. Maybe it was blocked somewhere and no water rushed out. After a closer look, there were still many such shaft entrances, but they were all at a very high position, and I could only get this one.
I was overjoyed and leaned over, first put the fat man aside, then grabbed the gap in the stone and climbed up. Halfway through, I knew there was a door. I couldn't help laughing, and then gritted my teeth and tried to make a fuss.
At this moment, the fat man next to him suddenly moved and said, "There is no time!"
