Chapter 9 Wen Jin's Notes (2)
Chapter 9 Wen Jin’s Notes (2)
September 6, 1990
Today, the "Wang's Theory of Relativity" encountered a difficult problem. In Wang Zanghai's last mural, we found this paragraph:
(The following is a sketch, probably a copy of the mural. When I saw this, I remembered the things I saw when I turned over the table just now that were similar to the sketches of children. It turned out that they were all murals they copied.
The content of the sketch is difficult to describe, because it is very badly drawn, I can only roughly see that it seems to be a scene of a nobleman who bid farewell to another person. The background is a large palace gate, with animals such as "camels and horses" neatly arranged around it, and of course it is completely like dogs and rats. I am familiar with ancient landscape paintings and animal paintings. I have received rigorous training in this knowledge, so I can guess from the brushstrokes and shapes that these strange animals should actually be horses or camels. After the palace gate, the waiters were in groups and lined up in a ceremonial guard. It can be seen that the painting was a very large scene.
After that, there were two or three pages of painting. I was not interested, so I jumped over and looked directly at the contents behind.)
These murals should be Wang Zanghai after he was 68 years old. At that time, he had completed his last project. The content on this mural probably means that he accepted the emperor's order and set out to a place, similar to the activities of sending other countries. The composition of this mural is obviously a Tang Dynasty mural that imitated the Tang Dynasty when Tang Xuanzang went to the Western Regions, which was very strange. However, after searching all the porcelain, we never found any porcelain paintings that could be compared with this.
Some people say that it may be the last experience. He did not have any architectural works in comparison, but some people insisted that people like Wang Zanghai would not have such exceptions. There may be any special meaning or reason for the absence of porcelain paintings. Perhaps, his works were engraved somewhere else by him.
Indeed, after further research, I found that in the last few years of Wang Zanghai, there was no historical material left. His life can be said to be blank for the last period.
Where did he do during those years and what did he do? This is a big question.
December 6, 1990
In the past few months, we have been investigating Wang Zanghai's whereabouts in the last few years, and finally there are clues. We found that after the final project, Wang Zanghai accompanied the emperor to have a mountain sacrifice activity in Changbai Mountain, and then there was no written record.
Changbai Mountain, did he say he went into the mountains? We are very suspicious.
December 7, 1990
There is no way to check here, so we changed our direction and started from the emperor. We have detailed records of the mission and ceremony in Mingzhi. We want to find out the ceremony depicted on the mural of Wang Zanghai, or the records of his mission to other countries.
The result is very surprising. We found that there were seven major ceremonies two years before the emperor's death, and six of them were normal. However, one time was very strange, the record was very simple, without any side note:
"In the 29th year of Hongwu, forty-six guards, twelve soldiers, one hundred and twenty-six horses, ten dou of pearls, thirty kilograms of gold, etc., to make Tamutuo."
The ceremony and mission are the only two records with complete conditions, but this record does not record the officials who were on the mission at that time. But the most strange thing is, where is Tamudo?
Is it a country? There is no record in the official history, but it is very likely that there were countless small countries around the Ming Dynasty, Southeast Asia and the Western Regions, and maybe this was one of them. However, Wang Zanghai went to join an envoy with a small country. This is a bit strange. He is not very suitable for such long-distance travel.
February 11, 1991
The investigation continued, and we had two discussions during this period.
(There are ten pages of nonsense in the middle. They are all discussions and guesses, but the errors are confirmed later, so they are all deleted.)
Because the Ming Dynasty experienced a catastrophe in the Qing Dynasty, it was difficult to investigate this time, and there was no result for a long time. Later, we changed the investigation perspective and solved a problem. After comparing the things carried by the envoy "Tamuta", we found that the type of gifts indicated that this should be a country in the Western Regions, and the number of gifts seemed to be very small as gifts. However, there were many horses, which looked like a caravan rather than a team of envoys.
March 6, 1991
There are no clues at all, and there is no breakthrough. Research has stopped and everyone is in a bad mood.
This is the first paragraph. Obviously, this paragraph should have something in front of it, but there are no traces of the torn pages found in front of it. It seems that this should not be a separate note, this is one of a series of notes.
The content described in the first paragraph is that they are doing research on Wang Zanghai, discovering "Tamutu", then studying "Tamutu", and finally studying the process of stagnation. From this paragraph, we can see a lot of things. They are studying murals and porcelain in the undersea tombs. Moreover, the study seems to be very orthodox and systematic, which is a classic archaeological process (the process of searching for information seems very boring, but it is the main way for archaeologists to study daily. Archaeology is digging - repairing - search). But when the third uncle and his team went to the land, it was impossible for this condition to have such conditions. Wang Zanghai tomb is so big, and there are only a few people. How long does it take to work to record all the things in the tomb? So when did they do this job?
This is a big clue, but I didn’t have time to think about it and continued to look down. At that time, I thought this process would continue later, but after March 6, 1991, a phenomenon that puzzled me appeared.
After this paragraph, there are about six pages of content, all of which are statements of collecting information, which is slightly over. After turning it over, the next work diary jumped to January 19, 1993.
Then, look at the recorded contents and you will find that they are quite different from the previous ones. The content of this paragraph was January 19, 1993 and until February 8, 1995, with a longer time span than the previous one. However, there are not many things that can be recorded. The content is as follows:
On January 19, 1993, after the last discussion, Wang Zanghai's affairs became clear. It seems that his trip to Tamutu was indeed related to the emperor's sacrifice to Changbai Mountain. He should have returned to Yunding Heavenly Palace and then set off for Tamutu. This Tamutu must be related to the situation in Changbai Mountain.
On April 18, 1993, we sorted out three routes to the Genting Heavenly Palace from the murals, and we decided to go to Changbai Mountain to find out.
On May 30, 1993, it entered the area of Changbai Mountain and the weather was very bad.
(After that, about a dozen pages were travel records like adventure novels. It was similar to the content we entered into the Genting. Until after entering.)
On June 15, 1993, I lost contact with them. The two of us continued to move forward.
On June 17, 1993, we arrived at the bottom of the Heavenly Palace. The situation was very bad. Others might be in trouble, so we didn’t have time to hesitate. We decided to enter the bronze door and see what it was inside.
June 18, 1993, it seems that I saw the ultimate!
(It was interrupted after I got here. There was no content, the next diary was the last paragraph. Obviously, she had not recorded anything for nearly a year and a half.)
The last record is that on February 8, 1995, we began to plan and find out what happened to Talmud.
This is the second part. Here it is about thirty pages of content, which is very obvious. The content has been vacant for several years between the first part and the second part. In this second part, they directly started the journey of the Yunding Heavenly Palace. When I saw this, I became clear with a question in my mind. It seems that the people who died in the golden pile in the Yunding Heavenly Palace should be the ones of them. And looking at what they carry, we are talking about here. It should be the ones in the Xisha.
In this way, they seemed to have nothing particularly embarrassed, and they seemed to live comfortably. But these were secondary. The most shocking thing to me was that Wen Jin also discovered the bronze door, and she had also gone in.
"I saw the ultimate!" I felt cold sweat when I saw this, thinking what does this mean? What does this ultimate mean?
Looking at the time of recording, after she entered, she had no diary for almost a year and a half, which was inconsistent with her personality. I felt that she was very likely to have seen something in the bronze door, so she was too shocked to think about any notes.
Looking at the second part, the biggest feeling I felt was that the Tamutu should have a great relationship with the bronze gate. After Wen Jin entered the bronze gate, she had the idea of going to find this "Tamutou".
Then, the third part is very long, but the time span is very short, from February 8, 1995 to June 8, 1995, among which there is only one section worth mentioning.
February 8, 1995
Based on the dragon vein diagram, we can already determine the location of Tamutu. We will conduct an exploration, hoping that in this exploration, we can find the answers to those series of puzzles. To be honest, I really didn't expect that there are so many things behind this. If what I saw in the bronze door was real, then the whole thing would be terrible.
After that, they went to the content called "Tamutu". Looking at the description above, this "Tamutu" should be an oasis in the Gobi Desert. Wen Jin followed a camel caravan and set off from Dunhuang in the early 1995, went deep into the Qaidam Basin, and made this trip.
They were led into the Gobi by a female guide named Dingzhu Zhuomadi, and then on a rocky mountain, they broke up with her and entered the place called "Tamuta". The oasis seemed very dangerous, and many people died along the way, and they also saw many dangerous marks marked on the road map of the notes. Finally, they arrived at Tamuta, but she had a disagreement with another person, and in the end she returned without continuing to move forward.
I read this very quickly and didn't look closely. After these contents, it was blank and there was no content. This part of the content is about thirty pages, very detailed, with a large number of road maps and descriptions about equipment defects, weather and other aspects.
In the whole note, there is no mention of how they got the information or how they investigated it, no mention of any content about the disappearance of the Xisha and the others, nor about the matter in this sanatorium. All the information in it is related to the "Talmud", and almost half of the length is an analysis of what Wang Zanghai left behind, and it is found that the connection pointing to the "Talmud". Moreover, what I care about is that there are obvious breaks in the middle of these three paragraphs. It feels like the notes are bound or reprinted.
I pulled the gap between the pages hard and found that there was no trace of rebinding or tearing the page. This was a complete note. That is to say, this note might have been a copy of Wen Jin. She seemed to have selected the content about Tamudo in several notes, copied it down, and gathered it in one note.
Why did she do this? This is another incredible thing. Why are these people always so mysterious when doing things? Is there something in the other contents of the notes that she doesn't want others to know?
Moreover, looking at this note, it was obvious that I wanted me to know that the place "Tamuta" was very important, and it seemed that I wanted me to go to that place.
There were countless questions in my heart, and I couldn't figure it out at once. I rubbed my temples, turned the notes to the beginning, and prepared to start carefully from the beginning to see if I could get any clues. However, at this time, the lighter in front of me had dimmed. The flame had shrunk and the light was quite dim.
I remembered that the lighter had been in use for a long time and might be about to die, so I wanted to light the newspapers and drawers and make a bonfire so that the lighter would not be unable to be fired in a while and I would be in the dark. So I stood up with the lighter and stretched my muscles.
