Chapter 53 The First Visit

The junction between the sky and the sea was white. An orange sun slowly climbed up from the sea, and then gradually turned into a blazing golden white, as if it was only then that time that it really woke up from sleepiness.

The white building is 5 floors high, with a large cylindrical shape highlighted in the middle, with rectangular buildings on both sides, and two large cubes at the other end of the rectangular buildings. The overall shape is roughly like this. In fact, there are only 4 floors on both sides, except for the middle building with 5 floors, and the top floor is a beautiful prismatic spire. The building is roughly white, with the roof tiles and edges in dark purple, and its style is similar to the Bavarian style in Lorrain Hill's memory.

Lorran Hill's room was on the left side of the third floor. The birds outside the window were singing in the cuckoo on the spruce trees. The white light from the sky shone in through the gaps of the dark curtains. The girl was sleeping on the bed in a white nightgown, and the silk-like hair was scattered on the pillow, between the thin blanket and the white collarbone.

After the sun slowly rose, it took a while before the girl opened her eyes reluctantly. She had actually woken up for a while, but she still didn't want to get up. After sleeping for a while, she finally lay on the soft bed again, a faint sense of satisfaction and happiness came from every corner of her body.

Well, let's get up. After all, it's not just for me to live alone. I just need to pay attention to my image whenever I want to sleep. When I think about this, she slowly lifted up from the bed, shook her head to wake herself up, and then opened the curtains. The light from the sky illuminated the warm bedroom.

After sitting in front of the dressing table, she took care of her hair and tied her hairband, she remembered that this was a new bedroom. She didn't know where her clothes were placed. She looked around and then opened the white wardrobe next to her. The dazzling array of skirts appeared in front of her, which made her feel a little unresponsive.

Is this for her? The problem is that she arrived yesterday, which means that she would put it in the fastest before she entered the bedroom last night. But how did they know her body proportions? She only appeared at the headquarters of the Chamber of Commerce last night.

Lorran Hill took out a few clothes and tried it. The unexpected fit didn't look like a perfect style at all, but it was cut according to her body proportions.

How did they do it in advance? Wait, there is still a time difference. When she showed up at the headquarters, it was just night, and when she came back to rest, it was almost the early morning, with a time difference of nearly five hours in between. Is this called professionalism?

I think carefully about the managers I met yesterday, there were several clothing workshops. Maybe they were secretly preparing. I will know after asking Chelsea later.

No longer thinking about these things that managers please, she chose a white body-covered dress. This one is more in line with her aesthetics, with a light blue decoration in simplicity.

There are also some graceful long skirts in the wardrococo style. The skirt is bell-shaped, with curved skirts inside, layers of patterned pleats, and the skirt is dragged behind it. This is currently more popular among the Westerly nobles, but Lolan Hill doesn't catch a cold. It just feels too restrictive and inconvenient, like a colorful vase that is beautifully decorated, it looks good and doesn't feel comfortable to wear.

After a simple dressing up, she pushed open the bedroom door. There were already 4 maids waiting outside the door. This was the result she asked yesterday. According to the standards mentioned by Chelsea, 12 is the norm. This waste of manpower made the girl sigh that she did not need to serve to show her identity, but considering that she was unfamiliar with someone to lead the way, she originally intended to leave two.

"Good morning, lady."

The four maids bowed their heads and saluted. They all looked pretty and were very young, holding towels and other things in their hands, and then took the girl to the bathroom.

The breakfast was cranberry bread and honey tea. After a simple meal, Lorran Hill began to ask the butler Ceres for some information.

"How is Mr. Angus's other child and his mother now?"

"They are mother and son living in a single-family loft at 209 Gladiola Street, Hoplane. The security there is very good. Yesterday, some people were sent to the surrounding area to protect them in secret."

"Well, prepare an inconspicuous carriage, I'll go to visit it secretly today."

"Yes, Miss."

After the return of Loran Hill, the Carites Chamber of Commerce ended its previous uneasy mood. Various orders began to be sent from the headquarters to the distant branch to inform the future arrangements and decisions. The carriages in charge of the company were scattered from the huge headquarters, and one of the ordinary carriages was also mixed in.

Lorran Hill put on a black robe over her dress, then got on a carriage, and as the wheels ran across the bluestone street, they turned several turns before they arrived at Gladiola Street. This was where the nobles lived in Hoplane in his early years. Later, after Velgar became independent, most of the nobles withdrew, and those who remained were bought by the rich. The public security here has always been good. However, Hoplane's real top star was not here, but in the wide courtyards to the west. Those courtyards were built after the establishment of Velgar, which were updated and more pleasing to the style.

Lorran Hill walked off the carriage, and then Serez wore a strict housekeeper's gown and knocked on the door. Next to the carriage were two elite guards dressed in servants, who intentionally or unintentionally blocked the other people's sight.

The door creaked open. In the fierce sunlight at noon, the woman inside seemed to be unable to open her eyes. It took a while for the butler to recognize him.

"Hello Madame Mela, I'm following Lord Angus before, do you remember?"

"You... Hello, I remember, you are a respectable person who has given me and my children a lot of help."

"You are so interested. I will help you as Lord Angus told me. This is nothing."

Serez paused for a moment, then opened his body sideways, allowing Lorran Hill's figure to appear in front of the woman.

"This is Miss Lacey, the daughter of Mr. Angus. She wants to visit you. Can you see?"

"Yes, yes, please wait, the room is too messy." The woman's voice was a little frightened.

After waiting for a while, Lolan Hill was welcomed into the house, and a silence of scent came to her face.

Most of the curtains in the house are pulled up, and the lighting is a bit bad. Considering that it is summer, it is normal to be afraid of heat. The house is dry and cool, and it is also very quiet at noon. You can only occasionally hear the sound of the pendulum in the hall.

The floor-standing pendulum made of mahogany and brass is located in the middle of the hall against the wall, with a thick layer of gray on it. In the quiet room, you can see some dust slowly floating in the sunlight through the curtain gap.

Mrs. Meila poured out two cups of cold water from the porcelain pot next to it and placed it on the table. The lid of the porcelain pot was also dusty, but fortunately the water inside was quite clean, and it should have been prepared yesterday or this morning.

Lorran Hill looked at the lady in a black long dress. Her face was a little pale, she had no decorations on her body, and there were some wrinkles on her forehead. She was only in her thirties but she felt a sense of dusk, looking at Lorran Hill uneasy and nervously.

"I'm very sorry Mrs. Mela, there is a unfortunate news today that Angusda was attacked during his return trip some time ago and has left us forever."

As the girl finished speaking, the lady shook her hand and touched the teacup next to her. Then a crisp sound rang on the ground, smashing to pieces.
