Chapter 1 A late gift

May, sunny day.

At dusk, when Han Lang walked out of school with a shoulder bag as usual, he threw the textbooks in his bag into the trash bin. Three years of high school life ended like this, and these books no longer mean anything to him.

Every graduation season, similar scenes always appear in various schools, which are long-suppressed catharsis. Compared to most students tearing the textbooks apart and throwing them out the window, Han Lang's approach is relatively environmentally friendly.

A slightly fat boy put his arm on Han Lang's shoulder. His name is Li Qi, and he is Han Lang's best friend.

In fact, Li Qi cannot be considered a fat man. He is just because of his wealthy family and pampering habits. His skin is whiter than other boys and his fat content is slightly higher.

Li Qi smiled and said, "I finally graduated from this broken school. Let's find a place to celebrate, I'll be the host!"

Someone treats you?

The students responded one after another, and the tall Wang Yan stroked his short hair in a dilemma and said, "I won't go. I'll prepare to take the college entrance exam next. After all, we are all ordinary people without superpowers. If we can't get into college, we may not even be able to find a job in the future."

The atmosphere became a bit awkward. This was the cosmic era and also the paradise for superpowers. Superpowers had money, power, women, and everything they wanted, while ordinary people became common people of low status.

Since the era of superpowers came, all the rules in the world have been changed, as if the world is prepared for superpowers. They can fly without buying tickets, stay in hotels without spending money, do whatever they like, go to the school they want to go, even if they don’t do anything and wait for death, and there are also monthly bonuses paid by the federal government.

However, the large number of ordinary people have to face cruel competition, and the number of places to go to school has to be fought for, and the number of limited work has to be fought for. Most ordinary people can only survive a poor and humble life.

Although everyone has graduated from high school, they will start applying to college in a month. Not everyone is still in a state of mind like the heartless Li Qi, and everyone is under great pressure.

"Then I won't go anymore. My mother is waiting for me to go home for dinner." Jiang Xiaoyan raised her glasses and said.

"It's boring!" Li Qi gave her a blank look.

"I want to catch the subway, so..." said another female classmate.

"Your family lives behind the school and drives your sister's subway!" Li Qi was a little anxious.

No matter how Li Qi tried to keep him, the classmates still scattered. Han Lang also sorted out his shoulder bag and waved to Li Qi, saying, "Not everyone is as rich as you, so I don't have to worry about the future. I'm going home."

"You can't leave!" Li Qi jumped anxiously and said, "Do you think I'm having a lot of money to invite these girls to have nowhere to spend it? Today is your birthday!"

Han Lang smiled and said, "I know, this kind of good guy is grateful. I really have something to do today. When I find a job, I will invite you to eat Roujiamo."

"It's just you poor guy who treats Roujiamo as a treasure. I originally planned to treat you to Japanese cuisine today, including scallops and peony shrimps you like to eat!" Li Qi tried to seduce Han Lang with delicious food, but Han Lang was still unmoved.

"It's OK at any time, but it really doesn't work today." Han Lang smiled slightly and walked towards home without looking back.

...

Every day, Han Lang passes by a superpower training school called Dingfeng on his way to and from school. Advertisements from this school are on the holographic advertising screen.

"You can be the next superman!" said the powerful man in the picture.

Han Lang doesn't believe in the story of turning an ordinary person into a superpower in the advertisement. After all, superpowers are not Dabaicai, and you can have them just by wanting them.

In the days without Superman, the Earth Federation was nervous and uneasy. In 2066 AD, Clark, the only five-star superpower on Earth, represented the Earth at the Galaxy Conference. In the contest with the entire Galaxy elite, Clark showed amazing combat power, which made those galaxy powers look at the Earth with admiration.

According to the rules of the Galactic galaxy's prey on the weak, if a planet is not protected by powerful superpowers, it needs to become an affiliated colony of other powerful countries.

Nine years have passed in a blink of an eye. After participating in the last Galaxy Conference, Clark mysteriously disappeared without a trace and has no news yet.

Next year is the date of the next Galaxy Conference. If Superman Clark still does not return, and the Earth Federation will not be able to send superpowers as powerful as Clark, they will be annexed by those powerful forces that have been eyeing them in the distance and become vassals of others.

In order to gain a foothold in the Milky Way, the Earth Federation desperately searched and cultivated superpowered warriors, but unfortunately, the results were very little. No one in Clark could break through the superpowered five-star rating, and the Earth has entered the countdown to fall.

Han Lang lives alone, living in a cheap community not far from the school. The house was bought by his mother when she was still alive. It was a simple one-bedroom apartment with about thirty square meters and the sun was pretty good.

Han Lang made a cup of black tea for himself, sat in front of the computer and untied a silver necklace around his neck, took out a memory chip from the black pendant of the necklace, and stared at the chip the size of his nails in a daze.

This is an important relic left by his mother to Han Lang. He made an agreement with his mother that he could only open it and read the data after he became an adult. Han Lang has been abiding by the agreement with his mother for so many years.

In the past, humans on Earth had the age of eighteen as the boundary for adulthood. British legal countries such as Britain and the United States were even considered adults until they were twenty-one. But now it is the interstellar era, and it is the custom of the Milky Way to become an adult at the age of sixteen.

Today happened to be Han Lang's 16th birthday. According to his mother, he was born at midnight. It is now 6:10 pm, and there are still five hours and forty-five minutes before midnight.

"Time passes so slowly." Han Lang stared at the slowly beating second hand and said to himself: "It should be okay to turn it on a few hours in advance, right?"

Han Lang refused to treat Li Qi for this gift he had been waiting for for a long time. He had long wanted to know what was special about the data card that his mother solemnly handed to him before his death. Every minute and every second of his waiting were torture, and Han Lang decided to be willful.

Insert the data card into the notebook computer reader, and the data shows that this is a standard 1000TB data card, and the retail price is no more than twelve federal dollars.

Smack ~

Double-click the data card icon with your finger, but for some reason, the data card was not turned on, but the computer's own infrared scanning device turned on automatically, and a red light quickly passed Han Lang's whole body.

Infrared scanners are the standard configuration of computers in this era. They are mainly used in the medical field. People do not need to go to the hospital after they get sick. Infrared devices will automatically scan the human body. If there are signs of illness, medical software will prescribe. With the prescription, you can go to the pharmacy to take prescriptions and take medicine. Even if you are not sick, you can have a physical examination for yourself regularly to improve your quality of life.

Only when the condition is serious will the medical system recommend that patients go to the hospital for treatment, and will automatically choose a suitable hospital for the patient, register automatically, and apply for a bed, which will save people from queuing in the hospital and reduce the burden on doctors.

"Can it be that the system is wrong? I just want to open the data card. Why did I turn on the infrared scanning itself?" Han Lang muttered to himself.

At this moment, a line of text suddenly appeared on the screen.
