Chapter 492
Zhuang Zhou's theory of Qiwu gave Yunyao a deep understanding of "reality". Prejudice cannot disappear. After all, the human race's understanding of things is never about understanding the essence of things, but about understanding the forms expressed by things through organs such as vision, smell, hearing, touch, and taste.
Jianbai of the Mohist school and Li Jianbai of the famous school are actually talking about one thing, from two opposite perspectives.
From the perspective of the body of the stone, stone naturally has two attributes: solidity and color. But from the perspective of human senses, the solidity and color attributes of the stone are separated.
Integrity can be said to be prejudice, and it also points out that the human race lacks the ability to understand the essence of things, and can only distinguish, observe, and combine them into the whole object. This is a subtle difference from the essence of objects.
It’s like cutting something open and sticking it back, it’s always different from the beginning.
The way humans observe is to "cut" objects, and then put them in the brain to assemble them. Then they naturally cannot restore their essence.
Therefore, the "realization" mentioned by Zhuangzi is not just prejudice. After reading the theory of Qiwu, he felt that it was too polite to say that it was prejudice, it was simply a defect. The defect of the human race can also be said to be a defect of all life.
It is difficult to restore the essence just by observing the objects you see in daily life, let alone the illusory Tao.
Together with things, we must be in harmony with each other, right and wrong, life and death, and we must be in harmony with things and me. In the end, we must forget things and me, and be integrated into one, that is Tao.
When Zhuang Zhou and Hui Shi discussed "How can you know the joy of fish if you are not a fish?", the idea of "Qiyuyu" is to understand it, "Qiyuyu, fish and I are one, so Zhuang Zhou also knows the joy of swimming in the water when standing on the shore. Hui Shi thinks from the opposite perspective of fish, I am the fish, and I am me, this is a kind of intention.
Yun Yao thought of his annual rings. In the past, he thought that annual rings were simulating all things, but now he thought about it. Is annual rings itself all things? Isn’t it just that he brings himself a new perspective to observe the world? A new perspective that transcends vision, smell, hearing, taste, and touch can allow himself to master the essence of everything. Although this is not Tao, it has also allowed himself to surpass ordinary monks.
Simulating magic weapons is not simulating appearance, but simulating essence. The role of annual rings is greater than that Yun Yao imagined.
"Zhuang Zhou dreams of a butterfly. When he dreams of being a butterfly, he doesn't know that he is Zhuang Zhou. When he becomes Zhuang Zhou, he doesn't know that he is a butterfly. Zhuang Zhou and butterfly are also one, but Zhuang Zhou and butterfly need to be transformed in dreams, and I have the rings of the year, all things and me, even if I and all things do not have dreams, they can transform into each other." Yun Yao's thoughts spread out.
Before reading the "Qiwu Theory", Yun Yao's thinking was restricted, but now he has been released from the reins and suddenly feels that "the world is one finger, and everything is one horse".
This is also the view of the theory of the Universal Theory. The universe is the same as the finger, and everything is only the size of a horse.
This feeling is very strange. Yun Yao also read "Zhuangzi" before traveling through time and remembered a lot of Zhuangzi's content, but none of them were inspiring. After reading the bamboo slips written by Zhuangzi, it seemed that he had obtained the key to open the treasure and his thinking continued to scatter.
This is the power of various schools of thought, and it is Zhuangzi's spirituality that inspired Yun Yao. Yun Yao himself is not enough to fully understand and master it.
Yun Yao cannot understand the essence of objects beyond perception, but annual rings can do it. Therefore, annual rings can copy all things, or even copy invisible things, isn’t it the essence of all things?
It can even be said that the annual rings are just Yunyao's own misunderstanding. Perhaps the annual rings are not independent. Thirty-six rings may be a whole. It's just that Yunyao's understanding of annual rings is not comprehensive enough, so he thinks that annual rings need to be lit up in circles.
"The annual rings can understand everything, so can you understand me?" Yun Yaoxin wanted to use annual rings to analyze herself, what would it be? Can she analyze the essence of herself, a time traveler?
Or can you analyze the annual rings yourself? Can you analyze the essence of the annual rings?
I was really curious, but Yunyao knew that even if he really had this function, he was afraid that he would not be able to understand the result. Because he and the annual rings were not the same, now the annual rings were the annual rings, and Yunyao was Yunyao. It was like Huishi was Huishi, and the fish was fish. Huishi could not understand the joy of the fish, and Yunyao naturally would not understand the answer given by the annual rings.
The annual rings can be analyzed and answered, but Yunyao definitely can't understand this answer, because now Yunyao doesn't understand how the annual rings work at all, and how the annual rings copy the magic weapon. Only when the annual rings are Yunyao and Yunyao is the annual rings can she truly understand the annual rings and achieve Hunyuan unity without distinguishing each other.
Qi Wulun gave Yunyao a direction for cultivation. She had never thought about having Qi Tong's rings and herself before, but now it seems that she must do this.
When I was practicing in the past, I mainly practiced magic and magical powers, but I didn’t have a deep understanding of the annual rings. I just regarded the annual rings as an ordinary plug-in. Now I think the annual rings will not only be plug-in, but also Yun Yao’s new senses that understand the essence of the three realms. Perhaps it is his own organ, or perhaps his intuition. No matter what it is, it must be a brand new perspective.
If you can make good use of the annual rings, you can observe the essence of everything, and the differences and similarities between essences may indicate the location of the Heavenly Way.
Yunyao looked at the scattered theory of Qiwu in her hand, which contained multiple fables and profound thoughts. Yunyao couldn't help but feel ashamed that when Zhuang Zhou was the same age, she was still struggling between weight loss and food. Zhuang Zhou had already written such a masterpiece, and it turns out that people are different from others.
Zhuang Zhou needed to rest after writing his masterpiece. Qiwu Theory took a lot of energy, but Zhuang Zhou was happy to let Mencius read it and listen to Mencius's opinions.
Mencius was afraid that Mr. Zhuang Zhou would think of these illusory things and think more about his proposition for the country and the people.
Although Zhuang Zhou's theory of equity and things seems very correct, as long as they are united with each other, right and wrong, life and death, and things and me, the world will be integrated, and there will be no confrontation or war. It seems very beautiful, but it is not reliable than the Mohist love.
Confucian benevolence and Mohist love are both added and built the high-rise building of society based on love. However, Zhuang Zhou's theory of equitable things is to do subtraction, and to eliminate intentions, but it cannot be done at all.
It’s like the difference between zero and one. All things are zero. But a person, as long as one exists, it is one. One cannot subtract oneself and become zero. One and one can only be added up continuously. Benevolence and love are one plus one plus one plus one plus one... In the end, countless ones add up to become society.
It is impossible for a person to lose himself. If he loses himself, he will have nothing, so it is impossible to achieve the same thing as everything. With Mencius's wisdom, he can definitely see through this, so in Mencius's eyes, the theory of the same thing is a very correct nonsense, a big and useless proposition.
It is right and reasonable, but it cannot be done because people are one and cannot become zero. One can only be added with other ones, cannot subtract ones, and cannot deny their existence.
