The conclusion of the book(1/2)
This chapter is not in the main text, you can choose to enter.
"The Essence City: Yanzi Valley" has been completed today, and finally it has been completed. Those who like this book can give Shangxue a small recommendation in the comment section. Thank you.
When I first said that this book only wrote 300,000 words. When I wrote 350,000, I said that I would write 400,000 words. When I was 400,000 words, I said that I would write 500,000 words. When I was 550,000 words, I committed suicide by separatism after not finishing the book in the reader group. Now it is 750,000...
During the creation of this book, Shangxue read more than 1 million words of industry literature and 75 professional books. He interviewed a total of 56 people, including live beauty bloggers, real estate investment consulting experts, long-term rental apartment entrepreneurs and practitioners, software development engineers, data engineers, venture capital institutions practitioners, etc. He lived in long-term rental apartments during his study and work. The total duration was more than 5 years. He also had face-to-face deep learning and communication with senior apartment managers.
I originally planned to write 30% of professional content, but it was proved that I couldn't help but add a little more. At least when you read this book, you won't feel that the book is just about plotting without any practical information. The protagonist's entrepreneurial experience has incorporated a lot of details. It can be said that I almost typed out the original code of the big data analysis system and the refined management app for you.
Like all the books on Shangxue before, this book is updated intermittently. I sincerely admire the author Shangxue, who spends more than 10,000 yuan a day, but I do not intend to join this almost deformed industry intra-volume. I always firmly believe that slowness means fast, more than three times a year, and fewer than twice a year.
An editor said something to me before. I thought it was right. She said: "If you want to make quick money in a short time, you can write cool articles and write whatever you like. But if you want to write what you want to write, write in depth, and also have readers and someone reads it, then you can write more."
I was enlightened after listening to it. As long as I adhere to the principle of writing carefully one by one, readers who like my writing style will naturally gather together.
Some readers asked me if there is an outline for writing a book, but in fact there is one, there is one, "The Road to Investment Bank" and the same is true for "The City of Yanzi Valley". At least for me personally, the outline is just a little useful in the first half, and the second half is almost useless.
Why?
Because as long as a story is well written, the characters will naturally live.
When characters live, they will have their own thinking, propositions and behavioral motivations. They will break away from the author's control of themselves in the middle. They will hope to continuously improve their storyline and then affect the direction of the outline. They are likely to not follow what the author wants them to say and do in every play.
The plot I conceived is sometimes very different from the plot I actually wrote.
For example, the scene where Xiao Jie and Guan Sha quarreled because of a misunderstanding was actually thought about it for three months. In other words, before I could write that chapter, the plot in my mind had already appeared repeatedly in my mind from time to time. I could recite the lines, but when I actually typed on the keyboard to write, they made a different story.
When I write some lines, Xiao Jie would tell me that he thinks he shouldn't say this. He doesn't want to promise something he might not be able to do in order to appease Guan Sha. He still tends to solve the problem first.
Guan Sha would tell me that she just wanted to leave and not talk nonsense to Xiao Jie. She couldn't talk about Xiao Jie in terms of reason, and she couldn't feel Xiao Jie's strong love for her in terms of feelings. She wanted face and wanted to be kept, so she just wanted to leave, but after she left, she was afraid of torture, so she pulled Xiao Jie on the blacklist.
Many people think that the author is God and can control other people's lives at will.
There are many such authors, but if an author has not experienced the experience of quarreling with the characters in his writing, turning against each other, cutting down on each other, or even causing the creator to stop writing and strike, the vitality of his works generally cannot stand the test.
"The Essence City: Yanzi Valley" is updated intermittently, and even stopped updating at one point in the middle. I think you should already know the reason.
Of course, things are not absolute. I cannot say that the author who writes while fighting with the characters must be a good story. I can only say that this is a necessary and inadequate condition for whether the story is exciting enough and can withstand scrutiny.
The writer's writing process is actually a process of constantly compromising with the self-logic logic of the characters in his writing.
Shangxue believes that those excellent writers have more or less similar experiences to me. They should have become accustomed to the characters they have created by themselves, which are moderately out of control or completely out of control at the same time.
Shangxue believes that if a character is always obedient and never goes against the author's wishes, then the character is likely to be dead, commonly known as the tool man.
Many novels are filled with a large number of tool people, and even the male and female protagonists are tool people. Tool people are difficult to have vitality and cannot survive in the hearts of the audience for a long time.
Sometimes Shangxue also wonders, what is the proof that a person truly exists?
Is it a body?
Maybe yes, maybe not.
Is it his/her memory in other people's minds?
Maybe not, but maybe so.
For example, many of us remember rose and jack in "Titanic", Cheng Dieyi in "Farewell My Concubine", Andy in "Shawshank Redemption", Xiao Qian and Faceless Man in "Sky and Chia Away", Bai Jiaxuan and Lu Zilin in "White Deer Plain", and Sister Shuihua in "Shilong and Sea Love"...
Do these characters exist in reality?
Maybe not, but they live in the hearts of the audience for a long time.
In this sense, there are actually no strict boundaries on what is real and what is illusory.
Jiang Yifan, Wang Muxue, Chaihu, Cao Pingsheng, Jiang Yuqi, Li Tianming, Shen Li, Ren Tianxing, Xiao Jie, Guan Sha... These characters are real people to me.
Their smiles, tears, voices, ways of speaking, actions, ideals, goals, advantages, shortcomings and small habits will flash in my mind from time to time. They are like my childhood playmates, middle school classmates, and colleagues after work.
The memories of being with them made me laugh sometimes, sometimes burst into tears, sometimes passionate, sometimes sad and melancholy.
I was thinking, maybe this is the fundamental reason why I decided to become a professional writer. If this profession is done with all my heart, it is very sacred, because I use my best efforts to give characters one character after another a long life.
Maybe my level is limited now and I am not doing well enough, but I believe I will write better and better day by day. I also hope that everyone can be more patient, give me time, believe me, support me, and accompany me.
Shangxue is very grateful to the more than 5,000 readers who are willing to sacrifice time to type and write me chapter insights and overall evaluations during the more than a year of serialization of this book. Your thoughts, suggestions and hopes Shangxue has read them one by one and used as a reference for subsequent writing and previous revisions.
Readers who are familiar with Shangxue know that I am a person who can modify the novel as a company listing "Prospectus". How many times has this book been revised in total?
There are no eight hundred times, and there are seven hundred times.
If you are the first readers to read the update as soon as Shangxue updates, the content of the e-books in your bookshelf will be different from the versions you originally saw (e-books are updated in real time, if your cache is not updated, you can download them again without additional fees).
So hehe, unfortunately, you are likely to re-read it.
Of course, Shangxue will be very cautious every time he revises the article. He will not revise the plot unless necessary, so as not to make the changes worse.
However, for the following issues, snow will definitely be perfected, such as:
1. Typo.
2. The sentence structure is long.
3. Syntax error.
4. Unnecessary industry discussion.
5. A plot that conflicts with the character and traits of the character.
During this period, many readers put forward their own suggestions. Some of them were well-recommended. After careful thinking, I also made corresponding revisions. Character creation is all-round. As writers, we cannot say that 99% of the characters have been written well, and the remaining 1% is fine.
Details determine success or failure. Sometimes, a word, action, and reaction of a character is not valid, and the entire character is completely invalid in the readers' minds. The consequences caused are fatal to the novel.
A more special character in this book is Shen Li. She has been deceived by love and has lived in the greenhouse for 9 years, but she is not afraid to start over.
In order to have a broader vision and pattern like Ma Yu, she worked hard in big cities. Her original intention was positive at the beginning, but there were some problems in direction and practices. She did not make rational use of her advantages, which led to her falling into the whirlpool of "physical inversion".
Shen Li's previous obsession with all the opportunities to make extra money was just that she wanted to quickly accumulate her first pot of gold. For this reason, she didn't mind writing comments to people when squatting on the toilet, she didn't mind being a dressing model standing on the runway as a wholesale market, she didn't mind going out early and returning late to deliver food, or she didn't mind using her deposit to gamble on the internet celebrity culture company of Fengnian Factory's mother fox.
The poorer a person is, the harder he will work harder to make money. After having a little money, they often dare to gamble more than anyone else.
Everyone in the investment community knows that the all-weather strategy of stocks and bonds is generally only accessible to the rich and willing to strictly abide by it for a long time. When we only have hundreds, thousands, or tens of thousands of dollars to invest, we are often attracted by those high-yield things and want to take a try, so that bicycles can become motorcycles.
But when we have hundreds of millions or even billions in our hands, what we think about is how to keep this money, at least keep our assets at a scale of hundreds of millions. Maintaining this scale is to keep our hard-earned social class. At this time, we may be very interested in products with annualized returns of 4% to 5.5% and willing to invest most of the money in and hold it for a long time.
Shen Li only has a high school education, her work experience is blank and she is still old. When she comes to a first-tier city like Qingyang, where competition is so fierce, she can only start with some physical work.
The most valuable thing about Chen Li was that she had fallen hard, but she was brave enough to stand up alone and her hard work made Guan Sha, Du Jing and Ren Tianxing amazed.
Sometimes people have to force themselves. If they force themselves, they may become eagles on the mountain.
Chen Li didn't need her at first when her family broke up. Shangxue was thinking about it, so it was better to let Chen Li reject Lei Biao. Raising her children independently was not bad. This way of writing actually caters to many independent women who are now swearing to death.
Some women believe that marriage will lower their quality of life, and believe that as long as a married woman sacrifices more than a man, they will present a lot of evidence, such as who, who has lost their job after two pregnancy matches.
In fact, if they meet mr.right, they will understand that marriage will not give women less than they sacrifice.
As a woman, while Chen Li is independent, she actually desires a lot of softness in her heart. Shangxue thinks this is a very normal psychological need.
She can earn money and raise children after being injured by a man. If she has another man at this time, she will most likely be like Lei Biao. She can help Chen Li in her career and take care of Chen Li in life. Her values and marriage concepts are exactly the honesty and sincerity that Chen Li desires the most. In action, she is reflected in the fact that she does not delay a second after falling in love and gets the certificate directly. You should know that the marriage certificate was something that Chen Li could not get for nine years.
Lei Biao's appearance is both a timely help and a icing on the cake for Chen Li. The two cooperate with each other in their careers and support each other in life. One plus one is greater than two. So in the face of Lei Biao's relationship, Shangxue and Chen Li communicated with him many times. I asked her if you really want a relationship. To be honest, Chen Li was also struggling for a long time, but she finally told me firmly: "Shangxue, if it were someone else, I might not talk about it again, but for Lei Biao, I think I will accept it."
Lei Biao first said to me: "Shangxue, I am a security guard and my waist is deformed. I feel that my life goal is slowly decaying like my twisted spine. But when I found Chen Li, I felt that the little flame that was unwilling to be mediocre on me was lit again. I am a security guard, and I have no great achievements in professionalism. I can't have children yet. Can I chase him?"
I replied: "You can try to confess first, be bold and see if she agrees or not, but she probably doesn't agree. In fact, you won't lose much if you don't agree, but if you agree, you will make a profit, which is equivalent to a call option."
Although Lei Biao couldn't understand what the call option was, he decided to try it. Later, he failed and told me in a dilemma that he should be a security guard and didn't want to try it anymore. I said okay, then brother, please wait and sing every day.
Later, Lei Biao recovered and found me again, saying that he accidentally saw Chen Li interviewing tenants and landlords in the community, so he searched for her videos. He thought that Chen Li was too difficult and wanted to help her and asked me if I could give her a pocket camera. I said that the thing was quite expensive and she might not accept it. Lei Biao thought about it for a long time and said that he just wanted to give it away. He felt that the video up owner was not that good, and he was just giving gifts and had no other luxury.
I said okay, then you can send it.
Everyone knows the result later. Chen Li confiscated the pocket camera and kept rejecting Lei Biao. However, as time spent with Lei Biao increased, Chen Li's heart was slowly changing. Even though she didn't realize this change, she didn't come to tell me, but they were still together in the end. So in fact, the combination of Chen Li and Lei Biao was not arranged by me, but they were step by step towards this ending.
I'm not afraid to tell you, Guan Sha, Ren Tianxing, Du Jing even came to me, saying that they would not say or do such a thing for some reason. At this time, I can only have one-on-one meeting with them.
The last story you saw was the result of countless meetings and discussions.
If you think this book is well written and worthy of praise, you should thank those readers who have given excellent suggestions to Shangxue and the characters themselves.
Now do you know why I always don’t save my manuscripts on Shangxue, and I post them as soon as I write them, and I insist on publishing them on the Internet in a serialized form first?
Because if I write hundreds of thousands of words alone, I can't find many problems myself and I send them to publishers or newspapers. No matter how powerful the editor is, my personal level is limited. At least I think these publishing institutions will definitely not arrange 5,000 employees to read my books and write ideas for me to give me suggestions, and they will also make real-time comments.
Shangxue adheres to the consistent spirit of "death struggle", repeats and goes back and forth, and never get tired of it. Although the final draft of the revision may not be perfect and may not be a masterpiece for everyone, I believe it will be more readable than the first version of my "built behind closed doors" when I was originally "working behind closed doors".
Some readers who are serious will repeatedly worry about the data in this book, calculate it themselves, and send me the calculation formula to show me my mistakes. Although it was proven that they had calculated it incorrectly, Shangxue is still very grateful to these readers, because you, Shangxue had to carefully check the data in this book and carefully re-calculate it many times. It is your seriousness that makes the data involved in the industry of this book more realistic and reliable.
Usually after a book is finished, I will no longer modify the characters and plots.
Because I think if I have referenced the views raised by 5,000 people who randomly sampled a story, it is likely that the 500,000 people will have much different feelings after reading it. There must be some small flaws. No book can be perfect in the hearts of all readers, but the big flaws should no longer exist.
So have you seen it?
Things are both sides, and it is even more painful to chase them all the way, especially when facing writers like me who have never been stable and updated. However, I will read your comments during the serialization process. The opinions you put forward may affect the final form of the novel.
Here, Shangxue would like to thank all readers who are willing to pursue the updates and make reasonable suggestions. Thank you for your support. It is precisely because of you that "The Essence City: Yanzi Valley" can be completed successfully. In the eyes of new readers, it may not be a perfect work, but like "The Road to Investment Bank", this is the highest standard work that Shangxue has done its best to achieve at this stage.
As a writer, I have learned to balance the "output" of self-expression with the "input" of readers' reading. Shangxue believes that a good story will definitely make the two win-win.
I hope this book does not waste your precious time.
Through this book, Shangxue Hope:
To be continued...
