Chapter 204: The small house in the forest

"Unknown energy magnetic field..." Enzo's eyes flashed.
In front of me, the seemingly calm primeval forest was a little weird. When I looked up and could only see the endless blue sky, without a cloud, as if it was a still portrait.
Enzo stopped in place, pondered for a moment, then took a deep breath and walked towards the forest ahead.
No matter where this place is, it is not a solution to sit and wait for death. If you can find some clues in the forest, Enzo will have the opportunity to analyze his current situation.
In the ancient primeval forest, the surroundings are tall and stout trees, and lush black and green branches and leaves spread over the sky, almost connecting them. The dark and depressing environment makes people feel suffocated.
Enzo walked between the forests, with every movement being extremely cautious, and he was even more alert.
Although the chip's detection function is disturbed and it is impossible to generate surrounding data maps, the scanning function and recording function can still be used, so Enzo is moving forward while recording the map of surrounding forests.
"Sciek...what monster is that?"
“It looks so strange!”
"I know! I know! I heard from Ona's grandma said that it was a human, squeak."
A whispering sound rang around, Enzo's heart moved, and immediately turned on the chip's visual function, and a light blue luster appeared in his eyes.
He turned his head and looked at him. On a tree not far away, he saw a few fluffy little things, dragging their big tails, jumping flexibly among the branches.
"Squirrel?" Enzo's eyes narrowed.
It seems like a very common thing to appear in the forest, but the whispers coming from their mouths seem a bit fantastic.
"Squeak! It's coming, run!"
It seemed that Enzo's gaze was felt, and the few squirrels jumping on the branches quickly disappeared between the canopy, leaving only one bold one still in its original place.
Enzo hurried over, but was afraid of scaring the last squirrel, so he didn't dare to approach it rashly, and stopped three meters in front of the tree.
"Squeak! Are you a human from outside?"
Before Enzo could speak, the bold squirrel spoke. Its dark eyes were full of curiosity, and its fluffy appearance made people feel fond of it.
"Hello, my name is Enzo."
Enzo thought for a while and said, ": May I ask, where is this place?"
"This is the Black Forest." said the squirrel.
"Black Forest?" Enzo's eyes flashed, and he asked, "Do you know where the night maze is?"
"The Maze of Night? What is that?" The squirrel looked puzzled.
Enzo thought for a while and asked again, "Do you know how to leave here?"
"Sorry, I don't know."
The squirrel shook his head and said, ": I have lived in the Black Forest since I was born and have never left here."
After saying that, the squirrel seemed to remember something, and suddenly his eyes lit up and said, "By the way, if you want to leave the Black Forest, Grandma Ona must have a way. I'll take you to find her!"
After saying that, the squirrel jumped down from the branch and ran towards the depths of the forest. Enzo hesitated for a moment and hurriedly followed.
Following the footsteps of the little squirrel, Enzo walked all the way in the forest, and the direction around him was quickly lost, but the chip recorded his route.
Soon, Enzo had already penetrated the Black Forest.
"Come on, Grandma Ona's hut is right in front." The little squirrel flexibly jumped onto a big tree and said to the front.
Enzo pushed away the branches blocking his body and looked forward. The scene suddenly became clear. It was a clearing land in the forest with an exquisite wooden house.
"Grandma Ona, the guest is here."
The little squirrel jumped to the door of the wooden house and shouted into it.
Squeak!
The door of the wooden house was pushed open in a gap, and an old woman with white hair and kind face slowly walked out. She first threw a pine tower and a little squirrel, and then turned her eyes to Enzo.
"Welcome to your arrival, outsiders."
Old lady Ona smiled with a kind look on her face and said, ": This forest has not been stepped on by outsiders for a long time. You are the first one in so many years."
Enzo did not step forward and remained vigilant.
"Tell me what you want, outsider." Old lady Ona was not angry and still kept a smile.
“I want to know how to get out of this forest.”
Enzo pondered for a moment and spoke.
"It's easy to leave the Black Forest, just walk in this direction." Old lady Ona answered readily, pointing her fingers in one direction.
"The target's heartbeat is steady and the breathing rate is normal, and no signs of lying are found."
In my mind, the sound of the chip sounded, which represented the direction given by Old Lady Ona. She could indeed leave the Black Forest. She did not lie, which slightly relieved Enzo's doubts.
"If you want to leave the Black Forest, it will take a long way to go." Old lady Ona reminded her again and said, "It's going to be dark soon. Do you want to come in and take a rest first?"
Enzo hesitated for a moment and nodded.
Then, Old Lady Ona opened the door of the wooden house and greeted Enzo with a smile.
When you enter the wooden house, the surrounding environment looks very warm. Carbon fire is burned in the fireplace, and a pot of daffodils is placed next to the window, emitting a strange fragrance, like a fairy tale world.
"Squeak, it's that human."
"Are there an outsider I've never seen before!"
Whispers came from his ears, Enzo turned his head and saw a few squirrels gathered together in the corner of the wooden house. When Enzo saw him looking over, he hurriedly crawled under the bed timidly.
"Don't mind, young people."
Old lady Ona smiled gently and said, "The little guys have never seen strangers, so they are inevitably a little shy."
“Have you lived here all the time?”
Enzo came to the wooden table in the room and sat down on a chair woven by rattan.
"Yes! I've always been myself."
Old lady Ona's face rose together to remember her, saying, "For many years, since the goddess of night fell asleep, I have been guarding this forest, and I almost forgot what the outside world looks like."
"Are you a believer of the goddess of night?" Enzo's eyes flashed.
"That's right! I am the most loyal servant of the goddess of night." Old lady Ona said firmly and nodded.
"Then... do you know the night maze?" Enzo asked tentatively.
"Of course, it's the goddess' sleeping place."
Old lady Ona nodded and said, "Before the Goddess of the Night fell asleep, an oracle was brought down. All believers must not approach the maze of the Night. One day in the future, there will be a human being from the main world to awaken her from her sleep!"
