Chapter 51, The Bear of the Earth

The unhappy ending made the Fifth Army the biggest loser. After a bloody battle, they didn't even know what the spoils looked like, but they were destroyed.

After counting the losses, everyone was stunned. No one had time to care about the casualties of the serf soldiers, but the dead and injured nobles could not be ignored.

Seven people were wounded, three were maimed, eight were killed, and the number of noble officers was reduced by almost a quarter. An ordinary war would have collapsed long ago.

If Hudson hadn't reacted quickly and used the human wave tactic without any moral ethics, I'm afraid the outcome of the Fifth Army would have been even more tragic.

Even if Earl Pierce promised not to investigate the previous matters and that the kingdom would not forget everyone's achievements, no one would be happy at all.

The casualties of the Fifth Army were so heavy that the simple robbery was not worth mentioning. It would be extremely unkind to continue to hold on to them.

The noble officers suffered heavy losses, and the elite private soldiers suffered even more deaths. From the number of more than 700 people at the time of departure, the number dropped sharply to less than 400.

The casualties were so heavy. In addition to the initial hard battle, a large part of the reason was that they were unable to retreat and were pushed to the front by the serf soldiers on the periphery.

Almost all the nobles who participated in the war suffered heavy losses. Without three to five years of hard work, they would never be able to recover.

Looking at the groups of cold numbers, Hudson became more and more low-key. Even the division of the spoils was just a symbolic win for two war horses and three pairs of armor.

There was no way, the spoils were too little. There were no sharp weapons on the battlefield, and most of the weapons and equipment were destroyed in the melee. If it weren't for Hudson, an expert archer, even these dozens of horses would not have been saved.

With just three melons and two dates, there is naturally nothing to argue about. In order to show your noble bearing, you have to leave a portion for your dead comrades, so you can get even less.

Ignoring the sadness and finishing the work, Hudson returned to his tent to take stock of the harvest.

There is nothing to be ashamed of. Hiding trophies is not his exclusive privilege. Almost all officers and soldiers participating in the war can do it, as long as they are not discovered.

Opening a box, it was all filled with potions, and then opening another box, it was still full of potions, which made Hudson almost collapse.

He would not dare to use mysterious potions with unknown efficacy, not even to trade them.

His intuition told him that these things were not good goods. The appearance of boxes one after another made Hudson wonder whether the continent of Aslant had entered the industrial age.

After praying to all the gods, Hudson opened the third box with great expectation. This time it was finally not a mysterious potion, but a sleeping Warcraft cub.

It can be sensed from the aura it emits. This is high-end goods. For knights and magicians, they are rare treasures. Hudson really can't understand why the Holy See would give such treasures to traitors.

military.

She has a high nose, a small face, good skin, a big chest, a round waist, and a curvy figure. Her whole body is full of "cuteness". You can tell at a glance that she is a noble person among bears.

If it weren't for the lack of dark circles under his eyes, black ears, black limbs, black scarf, and the limited-edition brown skin, Hudson would have thought it was a beast sitting in jail.

I don’t know if it was the panda that went off the rails or the brown bear that cracked its leg, but Hudson didn’t think it was a serious bear.

Based on his pitiful knowledge and combined with some legends, Hudson finally determined that this guy was the famous Earth Bear.

It is really difficult for people to connect the legendary king of land and the cute beast in front of them.

Perhaps the magic potion had expired, or perhaps he had slept enough. The Earth Bear woke up, stretched out, took a look at the surrounding environment, rubbed his eyes in disbelief, and then stared at Hudson with an angry look.

.

Before Hudson could react, a voice broke into his mind: "Human, I know what you are doing! Send your Uncle Bear Stearns back quickly, or I will use you as a snack!"

Mental communication is an innate talent of high-level monsters, and their IQ is no worse than that of humans. The legendary holy beasts can even directly communicate with humans.

If it weren't for the numerous Warcraft races, each one a link in the food chain, with constant internal killings and no way to unify, I'm afraid the continent's hegemony wouldn't be able to turn to humans.

Looking at the charming little bear waving a bear melon in front of him, Hudson didn't find it cute at all.

The King of the Continent is not called for nothing, even if it is just a Warcraft cub, it is not something that a little knight like Hudson can deal with.

Without too much hesitation, Hudson hurriedly said: "Dear Mr. Bear Stearns, welcome to my military camp as a guest. But do you really not remember how you got here?"

As if something had occurred to him, after taking stock of the surrounding environment, the cute bear, who was originally planning to teach the humans in front of him a lesson, suddenly withdrew the bear melon.

A good bear does not suffer immediate losses. The inherited memory of his ancestors told him not to cause trouble in the human military camp, otherwise he would suffer big losses.

"I seemed to have taken a nap, and then I appeared here. Damn human boy, tell you, Uncle Bear, what's going on?"

Seeing this scene, Hudson really wanted to go forward and grab the bear's skin and ravage it, but his reason told him not to go there and seek death.

Despite his cute appearance, the Earth Bear never gives up in a fight. An adult Earth Bear can even compete with a giant dragon.

"Mr. Bear Stearns, is this how you treat your savior? You have to know that just a little bit, you have become a sacrifice to the evil god!"

Hudson said without changing his expression.

Regardless of so many things, he was determined to be the benefactor of the bear. The bear of the earth in front of him was obviously just born, and his mind was not yet mature. It was the best time to fool him.

Being able to bewitch such a high-level monster as a mount is a temptation that no knight can refuse. Hudson feels that he is still young and has not yet reached the age of lying down. Now that the opportunity has come to him, he must work hard.

"Really?

Then thank you!

Just be a good person and do it to the end, send your Mr. Bear Stearns back, and I won’t care about this incident."

After hearing the cub's answer, Hudson almost burst into tears. Who said Warcraft was innocent? The cub in front of him clearly wanted to bully honest people.

"No problem. This is the southeastern province of the Kingdom of Alpha. I wonder where Mr. Bear of the Earth lives? When I finish the battle, I will send someone to take you back."

Hudson immediately promised.

It is impossible to send it back, but delaying time is real. There are only a few places in Aslant continent where the Earth Bear roams, and the nearest one is thousands of miles away from the southeastern province, and there are many densely populated places in the middle.
