Chapter 1,324 Exquisite Artifacts
After the salvage, a pool was specially sorted out on the 4,000-ton large salvage boat that Chen Wenzhe was riding.
The 511 boards that had previously come out of the water were immediately transported into the cabin as soon as they left the water surface and were soaked in the pool.
Most of these steamship parts, most of which are 5 meters to 6 meters long and have a width of more than 30 cm, are made of pine or fir.
The bottom hull is basically well preserved, and the residual keel that derives from the water are 16.7 meters long.
The keel is the largest and longest component of the ship's body, just like the vertebrae of the ship's spine running through the entire hull.
From this, Chen Wenzhe speculated that the length of this ship was more than 20 meters, about 6 meters wide, 3 to 4 meters deep, and had a displacement of more than 60 tons. It was a relatively large merchant ship in the Song Dynasty of my country.
During the underwater excavation, the team members found that the hull still retained 11 remaining watertight compartments, which shows that it adopts an advanced watertight compartment design.
Watertight compartment was a great invention of ancient shipbuilding technology in my country. At the latest, watertight compartment was invented in my country in the Tang Dynasty.
The main advantage of watertight compartment is that, first, it strengthens the lateral strength of the ship and makes the ship more solid.
Secondly, with watertight compartments, even if one or two cabins are damaged and water inlet, the ship will not sink, and it can still sail after repair.
All signs indicate that this ship is likely to be a high-quality lucky ship built in southern Hujian Province during the Southern Song Dynasty in my country.
Zheng He, a great navigator in the Ming Dynasty, once led a huge fleet to voyages to the West seven times, and the Fu Ship was the main type of the fleet.
The treasure ship Zheng He was riding was the pointed-bottomed blessed ship, which was 126 meters long and was the world's first 10,000-ton ocean-going ship.
As early as the Han Dynasty, my country opened up the Maritime Silk Road, mainly driving along the coastline.
This route is safe, but takes a lot of time.
By the Song Dynasty, with the application of advanced technologies such as navigation compass and watertight compartments, my country's ocean-going navigation technology developed leapfrog.
The ships pass through the deep sea area of the South my country Sea and reach Southeast Asia and Central Asia.
Oceanwide sailboats ride the wind and waves, sailing on this route.
This Southern Song blessing ship is one of them.
Although it sank during the voyage, it is strange that the wreck ruins are not on the bottom of the sea, but on the reef of the underwater reef.
After repeated research, Chen Wenzhe came to an unexpected conclusion.
The ruins of this ship were not the location where the ship was in trouble back then.
In the sailing era, my country's sea navigation in the South China Sea mainly relies on the monsoon.
For sailing ships, the monsoon is a double-edged sword, which is both the driving force of the ship and the culprit that causes shipwrecks.
This is obviously one of the dangerous waters on this waterway, with reefs of all sizes distributed here.
As the tide rises and falls, the reefs appear and disappear, threatening passing ships at all times.
When the ship sailed here with porcelain and other sailing, the sea breeze suddenly blew, and the strong wind pushed the huge waves and the sea was pressing down.
The ship was originally planning to sail into the reef and avoid the wind and waves.
The ship that lost control and hit the reef can be stranded by the waves and stranded there.
As the tide rises and falls, the buildings on the deck are completely destroyed, the hull is partially disintegrated, and gradually buried by coral sand.
This time, Chen Wenzhe and his team used six large salvage boats to send out hundreds of people in total, plus countless mechanical equipment, to salvage the ship out of the water as a whole.
Finally, it was counted that hundreds of people went to the water every day, worked more than fourteen hours a day, and took two months to complete the salvage.
He has been here for so long, and the salvage personnel on the boat have changed several batches.
At this time, Chen Wenzhe was very glad that he was fortunate to hire Gao Qijing and other local relatives. Otherwise, the current sea area would definitely not be as calm as it is now.
Looking at many divers who had never seen before, but were straight and straight, and were walking, sitting and standing, Chen Wenzhe almost burst his mouth with a smile.
It was because of such a group of high-quality team members, and the luxurious equipment he spent a lot of money to build, that in the end, nearly 10,000 pieces of porcelain were released and more than 500 damaged ship boards were released in a short period of time.
Originally, Chen Wenzhe was planning to go back to the New Year on a boat, but he really didn't expect that he would stay in this sea area for more than four months.
If there wasn't a deserted island not far away, he would definitely not be able to hold on.
Of course, fortunately, they were all big ships and followed a large supply ship.
This means that their fleet is powerful, otherwise, it would be chaotic here if it came out of the first batch of porcelain.
There is no way to avoid chaos, because the goods loaded by this ship are still very precious.
The main reason is that there are too many pieces of porcelain. This is the exported porcelain from the Southern Song Dynasty in my country. There are tens of thousands of pieces of porcelain, mainly blue and white porcelain celadon.
There are also sauce-glazed ceramics, including porcelain bowls, porcelain plates, porcelain plates, porcelain bottles, porcelain powder boxes, porcelain jars, and other water containers.
Porcelain was decorated using the commonly used methods of carving, molding, and plastic pasting in the Song Dynasty.
The patterns are mainly flowers, including lotus, peony, chrysanthemum, etc., as well as figure patterns and auspicious characters.
Among the porcelains that come out of water, many porcelains have pure glaze colors, fine eucalyptus pictures, and are very exquisitely made.
For example, a flower-mouthed pot was broken when it came out of the water. Chen Wenzhe repaired it these days when he had time.
The ability to repair it on the ship is mainly small electric kilns, and all the professional tools he wants to transport the domestic ones.
After the repair is completed, this is a fine pot.
This pot has a thin body, a clear glaze color, and an octagonal abdomen.
Its waist, long neck, slender curved flow, and curved handles are like graceful girls, with ice-skinned and beautiful bones, and elegant.
In addition, there are many fine porcelains, such as a box.
It should be a pink box, a utensil for cosmetics such as rouge, and it is a favorite among women.
Most of the powder boxes on this wreck are round and orange petal-shaped, with various floral eucalyptus printed on the lid.
There are six-star flower patterns, twelve balls of chrysanthemum patterns, folded branches and peony patterns, and needle leaves patterns.
Others include lotus patterns and grass leaf patterns, which are very beautiful.
Many similar powder boxes were unearthed in the Hu Jiande Hua Kiln, and the Song Dynasty ruins were also unearthed.
Comparison of them, the two are very similar.
Of course, the most common porcelain on the shipwreck is celadon bowls and plates, while the slightly special one is celadon bottles.
These celadon vials are also one of the many exquisite objects on the shipwreck.
The glaze of this porcelain bottle is white and glittering yellow in the middle, and the body is exposed in the soles of the feet.
Judging from the style, it is almost the same as the celadon vase found in the Song Dynasty ruins of Hu Jiande Hua Kiln.
From this we can see that these porcelains may have come from the same kiln.
In addition to these special porcelains, the ship is also loaded with many Ji-like porcelain bowls.
The inner wall of this bowl is painted with grass leaves pattern, and the heart of the bowl has a character "ji".
Coincidentally, many fragments of the Ji-character porcelain bowl were also found at the Hu Jianluo Dong Kiln site.
