Chapter 42 Missing

In the dark secret room, green ripples reflected on Brian's pale skin, as if covered with fine meridians.

He quietly lowered his eyes and looked at the ever-changing castle model.

"Forbidden Forest..." Brian murmured to himself, seeing the boundary of the model. It only contains part of the forbidden Forest and does not appear further away.

"It seems Tom is guarding against it, too." Brian chuckled.

"Why, I was run away by that little guy's Horcrux?" Slytherin's portrait crossed his hands on his chest, his tone was hoarse and playful.

"That's right." Brian smiled slightly.

"Interesting." The portrait said leisurely, "Maybe I can watch a wonderful performance."

Brian shook his head and said, "Excellent? Probably not that exciting."

"How is the 'death'?"

"Since the school sent us this gadget," Brian took out the brass coin, "there has never been a soul-leaving incident again. I have confirmed that this amulet has only a very weak function, which is to make people feel awakened when they are stimulated after being unconscious."

"So, the summoning of 'death' should be very weak, and it is likely to be targeted only at the unconscious or the weak." Brian pondered, "so this seemingly useless amulet can prevent the soul from leaving the body."

"Do you know how to find it?"

"Not sure yet." Brian shook his head slightly. "I just have a guess as to why they were selected. But if that guess is right, maybe I really have to go and have a good look at it."

"It is not a wise move to put yourself in a situation that you may not be able to solve." The portrait said hoarsely.

"Yes, but that's really beyond my imagination." Brian pursed his lips, "If I don't go and see, I might regret it in the future."

"Then when are you going?"

"At least we have to solve the current problem." Brian looked at the castle model on the round table thoughtfully, "I'm not relieved to put him outside alone."

"Playing with fire, Brian." The portrait said quietly.

"Yes, everyone knows it, but some people can't help but play with fire." Brian whispered, "because the stimulation and pleasure that moment, as well as the accomplishment after success, make people deeply addicted to it..."

"Do you know? I find that sometimes I go after this feeling, especially when I think the ending won't be bad." Brian analyzed calmly, "This is a big drawback that I need to overcome."

"You have a fire in your heart, Brian. Learn to control it, otherwise it will only burn you and everything around you to ashes." Slytherin's portrait said in an exclaimed tone.

"Who knows?" Brian fiddled with the hair on his forehead slightly and responded softly.

He glanced at the snake monster circling around the edge of the room and left the place calmly.

...

A Quidditch match in March was on time, a match between Gryffindor and Hufflepuff.

Gidro Lohart wanted to volunteer as the commentator for the game, but was sarcastic by Professor McGonagall, saying that he had a promising future and rushed to show off with the children. Lohart left in disappointment.

The Gryffindor won the game with a slight advantage, which attracted boos from the little wizards of Slytherin. You know, they lacked an excellent player, and the twin brothers who cooperated with tacit understanding were originally one of their aces.

However, when Harry Potter was at a disadvantage in the score, he successfully turned the tide and attracted countless cheers. As the attack passed, the little wizards gradually let go of their suspicion about him.

Draco, who was sitting by the side watching the game, was very upset. He complained that the Hufflepuffs were all sluts.

"But no matter what, we still have hope of winning this year's Quidditch Cup, as long as we accumulate enough points in the next game!" Captain Flint shouted to cheer the players, his expression looking fierce.

Brian returned to the common room with the crowd, slicing his testimony.

Because of his influence, the game was not cancelled, but it was not possible to provide him with a testimony point.

He won 0.2 witness points in the previous two Quidditch games, including a game between Slytherin and Ravenclaw. Obviously, Draco worked hard after taking a deflation and performed much better. In that game, he successfully caught the Golden Snitch and allowed Slytherin to win a game with an advantage.

However, that night, the school hospital became panicked.

While taking care of the sleeping students, Mrs. Pomfrey found that Fred Weasley, who had been lying there quietly, was missing.

She thought Fred had woken up and left the school hospital, but after notifying the professors, after searching, she did not find him in any corner of the castle.

This made Professor McGonagall very anxious.

"He just woke up from a coma and could not run anywhere." Mrs. Pomfrey seemed a little worried.

"No, it's not clear that he's awake." Dumbledore rushed over, checked around with a spell, shook his head and said.

"Let me do it, no one is better at finding someone than me!" Lockhart promised, patting his chest, "Obviously this bad boy is playing hide-and-seek with us, so it's right to leave it to me!"

"Okay, you're responsible for getting Weasley back." Snape said sarcastically, "I think, how about tomorrow? Then you can finally show your talents."

Lockhart stuttered a little, "Oh, of course, I...I'm good at this...When I prepare everything...I mean, I need some time, this is not something that can be solved overnight..."

He said and left in a hurry, his back looked a little embarrassed.

Dumbledore stared at Lockhart's back for a long time, and then slowly said: "No matter what, let the students know. If someone finds Fred's trace, you must notify us immediately..."

During the next day's Dark Magic Defense class, Lockhart proudly announced that he would do his best to find the missing person and bow to everyone in a fancy way.

He also prepared several bundles of colorful pheasants feather-like amulets, claiming that it could protect the little wizards from evil.

A group of little witches surrounded him with bright eyes, chirping in hopes of obtaining a feather. Lockhart smiled proudly, his teeth dazzlingly white.

Draco sat aside, looking at an unknown object.

"I can't believe what it would be like if everyone had a pheasant feather on their heads at that time." He said disgustingly.

"But, Brees should have a common language with him, right?" Bryan looked at Brees and said.

"Don't falsely accused me, you're slander!" Brees said proudly, holding his shoulders, "I don't want to be with such people."

"But he is really similar to you, in some ways..." Draco's face collapsed, remembering the nightmare Valentine's Day in February.

That day, Lohart prepared twelve gloomy dwarves, wearing golden wings and carrying harps, and sending unforgettable blessings to everyone who received Valentine's Day greeting cards.

That night, Draco received a blessing in the common room. A dwarf put him on the ground with a gloomy face, sat on his back, and recited the love poems on the greeting cards loudly.

After hearing this, Draco's face turned red and almost exploded like a watermelon. He lost control of his emotions and cast a spell on the spot to bombard the dwarf dozens of meters away. The dwarf was angry, but was dealt with by Draco's full-body binding spell.

Regardless, Draco is indeed growing rapidly, except for, of course, psychologically.

Fortunately, there were many little wizards who encountered the same thing that day, and everyone's eyes were attracted by Harry Potter, who received the love song, which made Draco feel a little better.

Of course, Draco himself was both grateful and unhappy.

"Anyway, Brees, the dwarfs on Valentine's Day should be very good for your appetite," Draco said with a dark face.

"How is that possible!" Brees raised his head and said, "Those guys looked reluctant, as if everyone owed them thousands of gold gallons... I don't want to use that guy."

"And that's not enough to restore," he added, "Can you imagine that those little things called the Little Love God can't fly! The speed of sending messages is too slow, and that's too price-deducting."

"So what you dislike is that their delivery speed is too slow, which delays the dozen love letters you receive?" Theodore said quietly.

"Tsk, they are all vain and vulgar fans." Brees said proudly, "I don't ask them to compare with my mother, but they must at least look better than me."
