Chapter 6 Malfoy Manor
"Oh, your mother has been looking for clothes for two hours." Mr. Foley sat at the table and drank a cup of black tea. "What the hell is she looking for? She just went for dinner."
Brian sat next to Mr. Foley and smiled, "Didn't she always do this? You should be used to it."
"Yes, that's right." Mr. Fry poured a cup of black tea for Brian.
"By the way, you and Severus, oh, Snape, have a good relationship?" asked Mr. Fley.
"Fortunately, I would ask him questions sometimes." Brian took a sip of the black tea ceremony.
"Then he must be optimistic about you." Mr. Fly looked at him and said with a smile. "Severus asked me about your situation at the Slug Club party that day."
"What's going on with me?" Brian raised his eyebrows.
"Well, personality, preferences, growth experiences, etc." Mr. Foley pondered, "He also asked me to tell you if you have something to do at school, and he would be happy to solve your problems."
"This is not at all like what Professor Snape would say." Brian said softly.
"Ah, yes, I thought he was transferred." Mr. Foley smiled, "so I dare say he must be optimistic about you, and maybe he will teach you some of his unique skills."
"You know, his level of potions and spells is excellent." Mr. Fley is so proud, but he has a high praise for Snape's ability, which is rare.
"Okay, I'll look for him more." Brian smiled quietly.
"Probably Snape was asked by Dumbledore to pay more attention to me?" he thought.
But, no matter what, it doesn't hurt him.
They waited for about half an hour, and when the dinner time was approaching, Mrs. Fley walked out of the room with satisfaction.
She was wearing a dark purple wizard robe, like a classical elegant dress, a bun like a bud, and a wide-brimmed top hat on her head.
"You have a perfect grasp of time, mom." Brian looked at the time and said.
"Of course, I will never forget time." Mrs. Fley nodded reservedly.
She held Mr. Foley's arm and several people walked out of the door together and disappeared.
When Brian opened his eyes again, he stood outside another manor.
"Fortunately, our two families are not too far away." Mr. Fry put his wand back into his pocket, "Otherwise it would be inconvenient."
He rang the doorbell bell aside, and the door slowly opened. The two house elves bowed deeply respectfully and then guided them.
They passed through the wrought iron gate, and Brian felt the illusion of passing through the smoke. Rowed by neatly trimmed green trees, and in front of a beautiful fountain with flowers blooming around.
The three of them entered the gate, and the Malfoy family was already waiting there. Mr. Furley took off the hat on his head and nodded slightly to them.
Brian saw Ms. Narcisa Malfoy for the first time. She had fair skin and beautiful appearance, with long golden hair hanging behind her. She was wearing a decent black robe with silver patterns, looking noble and elegant.
"Betty, you're here." She hugged Mrs. Fley gently, her voice softly, as if she was whispering.
The dinner at Malfoy Manor was unexpectedly less polite, and the atmosphere was relaxed and pleasant. They sat at the long table and talked about some relaxing fun things. Brian sat next to Draco, feeling inexplicably back to Hogwarts.
After dinner, Mr. Malfoy and Mr. Furley discussed the matter in the living room, while the two ladies were whispering. As for Brian and Draco, they were only responsible for eating and playing.
The two ran to the garden outside, and Draco reached out to touch the white peacock who was resting. They were very gentle and beautiful.
"Dad and the others must have gone to discuss magical items." Draco whispered, "Dad wants to hide them all in the secret room at home, but some things are too eye-catching."
"To be honest, those people from the Ministry of Magic are really idle and have nothing to do." He said, "I have always wanted some things, but now I can only deal with them at a low price."
Brian touched the soft feathers of the white peacock. The peacock tilted his head and stared at him, and his little black eyes shining in the night.
"It's better than being found confiscated." Brian said softly, afraid that he would alarm these white peacocks.
"You said, how about we go over and see?" Draco's gray eyes turned around and whispered, "Maybe I can find some interesting treasures. Dad never let me touch those things."
"He is right. Those black magic items are dangerous and there is a terrible curse on it." Brian said, "Never touch an item when it is unclear about its characteristics."
"I know, just go and check it out, just don't touch it." Draco pulled Brian into the room. "I heard it secretly, and Dad put them in the study."
They walked through the long corridors, and the portraits hanging on the walls stared at them silently.
Draco opened the door of the study and the desk inside was filled with strange things.
Brian looked along the desk and saw beautiful ruby brooches, luxurious black pearl necklaces, seemingly ordinary quills, beautiful red dancing shoes, haggard dead heads, strange and bizarre human bone wind chimes, etc.
Brian stopped Draco from trying to touch a bright red rose, which looked like it had just been picked, with dew on the petals.
"I didn't want to move it," Draco said. "It really seemed like it was just cut from the garden. I wondered if one of my mother missed when she was doing flower arrangement this morning."
"Obviously, there will be such fresh dewdrop roses in the early morning, but it's already evening." Brian bent down and approached the rose, "This kind of item is probably cursed."
"Obviously, if it was placed, people would be willing to touch it, and then..." Bryan paused, "and then they would be cursed."
He looked at the items around him and finally looked at the stack piled together.
They were placed in an inconspicuous corner like garbage, and if Brian hadn't seen the black cover diary inside, they would have been ignored.
The diary seemed to be blown by the wind, and Brian saw the familiar name on the first page. He had a new idea.
Brian quietly approached the past, and saw Draco focusing on admiring a crystal ball with ever-changing patterns, he quietly reached out to the ragged diary.
"Don't move that." A palm rested on his shoulder, causing Bryan to almost jump up.
"Oh, Dad, why are you here..." Draco was also startled. He straightened his spine and almost fell down.
Brian turned around and saw Mr. Malfoy, his face was quite serious.
"I get it, sorry, Mr. Malfoy." Brian apologized softly.
Lucius nodded slightly, and he said in a faint tone: "That is a very powerful black magic item that will hurt you. Don't try to explore these things before you grow up."
"Thank you, of course," said Brian.
"Bryan, I don't know you're so irrational." Mr. Fry walked in and said in a serious tone. "I thought you could be sober enough to recognize the limits of your ability and understand how to protect yourself."
"Sorry, Dad, they are piled in the corner, I thought they were just ordinary things." Brian said helplessly.
"Okay." Mr. Fry glanced casually at the notebook without showing any unnecessary expression.
"That's what you need to deal with?" he said to Lucius.
"Well, you need your help to contact this group. I will ask Bojinbok store tomorrow." Lucius said in a low tone. He pointed to the things in this corner again and said, "As for these, I will deal with them separately."
Brian and the other were driven out of the study, they looked at each other and walked side by side to the other side of the corridor.
"So, you don't have that position to talk about me at all." Draco said with a long tone, "Are you almost hit yourself?"
"Yes... I just came up with a special idea." Brian said softly, his tone as if floating in the clouds.
"What idea?" Draco became interested.
