Chapter 5 Differences

After several courses, Brian found that he did not have much advantage in his studies. He wasted his time unintentionally and spent almost all his spare time on his studies.

He quickly mastered the content he had learned and began to preview the next courses. As a student who was educated in exams, he knew how to learn more than Hermione.

However, the textbooks in the magic world are obviously not well written. If you only learn through the textbooks, you can't understand some things at all. He had to spend most of his time in the library, searching for various materials under the eyes of the administrator Mrs. Pins.

Malfoy was very puzzled by Brian's approach. He was never a child who loved learning. His most passionate thing was to provoke and mock Harry Potter and his friends.

Brian was also puzzled by Malfoy's approach, but whenever he asked, Malfoy would only proudly raise his sharp chin and say in his distinctive tone: "It's Porter who is ungrateful. He always regrets not coming to Slytherin, but chose the poor people of Gryffindor and Weasley."

In the spare time, Brian finally found the tapestry of the giant stick hitting Sabahn Barnabas on the eighth floor of the castle and entered the house of Responsibility.

To be honest, he had completely forgotten the location of the house where he asked for something, and only remembered that he was in a tapestry where a giant monster hit something. For this reason, he searched in the castle for many days, and for this, there were very few paintings about giant monsters here.

At present, he has no need for the Binding House. Most of his energy is focused on the spell. He tries to learn the magical body curse so that he can sneak into the forbidden book area to find the book "How to Close Your Brain" and start learning brain closure, allowing him to let go of his hands and feet a little, rather than carefully avoiding Dumbledore's attention.

However, reality is very skinny. With his current level, he can't learn the magical body mantra, a mantra that can only be learned in the senior grade. Whether it is magical or knowledge reserves, he is far from it.

He looked for a house that would be answered, just to verify whether this would be able to get a testimony.

The result disappointed him, and the system did not leave any leaks for him to drill. Obviously, no major incident happened here.

Brian suffered setbacks in his study career, and he can only learn knowledge step by step. However, during this period he became friends with Daphne Greengrass.

She always likes to sit by the window of the lounge, support her cheek with one hand on the window ridge, and look at the deep and fantastic scenery at the bottom of the lake outside the window.

Whenever a huge shadow passes through the window, she will open her blue eyes and put her face close to the window, curiously trying to see what kind of monster it was.

Brian would sometimes read books by the fireplace, while Daphne would ask him questions that she didn't understand. After a while, the two became more and more familiar with each other, so Daphne would occasionally make jokes with him.

She is a girl who is cold on the outside and warm on the inside. She is a little cold to people she doesn't know, but once she gets familiar with her, she will find that she loves to laugh and likes to make harmless jokes. She treats her friends sincerely and kindly, and is willing to help others.

Most of the time, she is an independent girl.

What made Brian feel particularly comfortable is that although she also agrees with the pure blood theory, she is not extreme, and she will not always talk about it.

Through the chat between the two, Brian also learned that Daphne had a sister two years younger than her, but her sister was in poor health. She had always worried that her sister would not receive a notice from Hogwarts.

Brian often takes time to chat with Daphne so that he will feel younger and more energetic, rather than letting himself slowly corrupt in loneliness.

Everything was developing normally. With his continuous learning, his grades began to show excellence and became a well-deserved academic master of Slytherin. Of course, there was still some gap with Miss Granger, mostly because of his unobedient wand.

Standing in front of the library's bookshelf, Brian pulled out the last book "Hogwarts A School History" on it, but found that his other hand was also placed on it.

"Sorry, you can take it." The two voices said in unison.

Brian was stunned for a moment, withdrew his hand, but found that his other hand had also been withdrawn.

"You'd better take it, I mean, if you need this book, I just want to read it as an idle book, but in fact, it's almost the same for reading other things." The female voice said in a low voice.

Brian had a strange feeling. He seemed to guess who it was. When he turned around, he found that it was indeed Miss Hermione Granger.

The little girl who was explaining awkwardly saw his face, sank slightly, and turned around and was about to leave.

"Miss Granger, do you want this book? I'm just curious to take a look." Brian whispered.

Hermione turned around in surprise when she heard a polite and gentle voice.

Brian handed her the book, and Hermione took it in a daze.

"Oh, sorry, I'm not... I mean, I thought you didn't like me..." The little girl explained awkwardly while holding Shu, her face slightly flushed. Then she found that this was even more embarrassing, so she coughed lightly and talked about the history of Hogwarts.

Speaking of what he was best at, Hermione's eyes became confident and bright. Brian listened with a smile, nodding from time to time to echo and add, and for a moment, they had a great conversation.

The little girl was very happy to talk, and she was very happy that someone could take her words and discuss these interesting knowledge with her.

Hermione has not been popular since she came to Hogwarts because her nosy name and high self-esteem are not very popular.

However, Miss Wanshitong is always as good as her name. Her knowledge makes Brian sigh that she really has geniuses in this world. At least she has a good memory and rarely forgets the books she has read.

Brian smiled and listened to Hermione's low voice. At this time, she was obviously not liked by children of her age. They prefer candy, Quidditch or Wizard Chess.

Brian's eyes are always gentle. When dealing with a little girl who wants to be recognized by others, he only needs to give support and approval.

Until Mrs. Pins came and drove the two of them out of the library.

Hermione's face turned slightly red and she said, "Sorry, I thought you guys... Oh, you know, you don't like me from...but you are different from them."

After she finished speaking, Brian smiled and said, "It's okay, I know what they think, although I don't think so. Of course, I have reason to apologize to you for this, which is not fair enough."

"But I apologize for Slytherin's prejudice against you, and you apologize for thinking we don't like your prejudice, we're even?" Brian said, his eyes calm and gentle.

Hermione chuckled, looking at Brian's gentle and sincere eyes that seemed to imply melancholy, she said more naturally: "Skew."

"Thank you for talking with me. I think I should go back." She waved her hand and said goodbye.

Looking at the little girl's departure, Brian's eyes were deep.

Why did he get to know her? Brian couldn't say it, he could turn around and ignore it, which would reduce a lot of trouble.

Perhaps it was because of his love for this character in his previous life, perhaps because he was touched by this girl, or whether getting to know her could create some convenience for him to collect testimony points... He couldn't tell what he thought, and he didn't think so much at that time, but just called her by chance.

"Maybe, it doesn't need to be so complicated. This is a fairy tale, isn't it?" Brian raised his lips, "It's good to do something occasionally."

He pressed the book in his hand against his chin and fell into deep thought.

In the following time, Brian and Hermione became familiar with each other. They always met each other in the library.

There were unexpectedly more common topics between the two, which even Daphne could not compare to.

Sometimes Hermione will explain some knowledge and interesting things about the Muggle world, especially after discovering that Brian is not rejected by this. She seems to try her best to reverse their view of Muggle.

Brian could only smile and listen patiently. Although the little girl was talking about things that he was extremely familiar with, he could even tell her about it for three days and three nights.

But Malfoy was very unhappy about this. He heard from Pansy Parkinson that Brian had always been in contact with Hermione recently, scolding him for being "too close to Mud Breed" and "to be humble", and threatening to write a letter to ask his father to tell Mr. Fley.

Brian was temporarily unable to reverse his deeply rooted concepts, but only asked him not to say the word "mud breed".

"Insulting others is very rude, Draco. This is not something the noble should say, it goes against your glory."

Brian said to him calmly, but Malfoy just proudly turned his head aside.
