Chapter 3 Night Talk

"Good evening, mom."

Brian said softly and silently pulled away his chair and sat at the dining table.

"Good evening, Brian." Mrs. Fley sat upright on the chair in a luxurious silver robe.

Mr. Fry came late and whispered in a low voice about the upcoming inventory of magic items that the Ministry of Magic had to deal with some black magic items with powerful magic fluctuations, because it was difficult to hide.

"There are some things to be handled on Lucius, maybe I can help you." Mr. Fley said with a slight smugness, "He has no way to do this."

He and Lucius have been friends since childhood, with similar families, and are also classmates from Hogwarts. This is how they support each other and compete with each other to grow up.

Therefore, Mr. Furley is still very satisfied with his son's academic achievements in Hogwarts.

"But, Brian, you have to make more friends." Mr. Fley was quite dissatisfied with Brian's somewhat dull personality and taught him, "Draco has more friends than you, and they are your future team."

Brian had to smile and nodded.

Mrs. Fley gently waved her wand, and exquisite silver tableware, crystal glasses, and a hearty dinner appeared out of thin air on the dining table.

Brian followed the etiquette meticulously and ate dinner without any haste, inexplicably feeling a little uncomfortable.

He had to follow these etiquettes, and once he acted a little more vulgar, he could imagine the next scene.

Mrs. Fley would cover her mouth with one hand and exclaim gently, and then use her gentle and soothing voice to teach him a few hours of etiquette lessons, which seemed like he had made a huge mistake. Even though her tone was so gentle that it was comfortable, it could not withstand it for a long time.

"I have to go to the Slug Club party tomorrow." Mr. Foley said, tasting a glass of wine. "To be honest, I don't think that kind of party is exciting at all."

"But I have to give Professor Slughorn a little face," said Mr. Fley. "He used to be the dean of Slytherin and the professor of Potions."

"Of course, Severus has taken his place now, and he is six or seven years younger than me." Mr. Fley sighed, "Severus is really a great guy."

"I have to talk to him more at the party tomorrow. Brian, if you have something to do at school, I think Severis will be happy to help you." Mr. Fly blinked.

"Of course, he's a good professor." Brian smiled gently and politely.

"I want to study alchemy and magical science this holiday, but I don't seem to find a basic book in the study." Brian asked some questions. The study of the Fley's house is simply a small library with a full collection of books.

"Oh, I'm glad you're fascinated by the magic of magic," said Mr. Fly. "I remember when I cleaned up the study, I threw away all the useless books. You know, the books everywhere shouldn't be in my library."

"You can buy a set in Diagon Alley." Mrs. Fley said softly, "Of course, don't use Floor fans anymore, see what you made yourself last time."

"You can find a house elf to take you there, or just make a book list and ask Ika to buy it at Lihen Bookstore."

"Okay." Brian nodded slightly.

"Ah, by the way, speaking of this, I heard that Hogwarts intends to let Gidro Lohart be a professor of Dark Magic Defense this year." Mr. Fley couldn't help laughing.

"Yes, he will hold a signing party at Lihen Bookstore next month." Mrs. Fley's eyes shining, "Maybe I can go and have a look..."

"Oh, Betty, don't tell me you're fascinated by him, too?" Mr. Fry covered his forehead exaggeratedly.

"No..." Mrs. Fley said with a slightly red face, "I just like reading his books."

"Hahaha..." Mr. Fry couldn't stop laughing, "Hasn't I told you? He's a liar!"

"Gidro Lohart is a liar who only knows the forgetting curse," he said. "I found out before that the content of his book "Break with the Female Ghost" was exactly the same as the experience of a friend of mine. Of course, he was a friend who was not very close, and he completely forgot about that."

"I found Gidro. At that time, he was still unknown, but he overestimated his ability to recite the forgetting spell on me!" Mr. Fly admired Mrs. Fly's surprised expression, "But fortunately I was prepared for it. In fact, except for the forgetting spell, his magic level is really not very good."

"I just said that Dumbledore must be a fool and would choose a liar to be a professor." Mr. Fley said, "but he really has no choice but to change his professors of the Dark Magic Defense Arts class once a year."

"Albert, why don't you expose him?" Mrs. Fley's cheeks turned redder, and she couldn't believe she had been worshiping a liar.

"It's no good to expose him! In fact, Gidro's writing is really good. I help publish and promote his books, and in return, he has to give me a good dividend every year!"

"Okay." Mrs. Fley said, returning to her calm and gentle expression.

"The professor of the Dark Magic Defense Arts class is not a good position, Albert." She said softly, "You must be mentally prepared to lose a partner."

"Who cares about that?" Mr. Foley sipped his wine. "He is not very willing to write books now. After all, he has made money that he can never spend in his entire life. I wish he could take off the food, so that I can still gain more share."

"Brian, be careful of his forgetting curse." Mr. Fly said, "Of course, if you are interested, you can learn from him and report my name. Gidro will give me face, as long as you are confident, you won't be humiliated by him."

"Of course, if you get mad at him, that's nothing, you won't remember it anyway." Mr. Fley said casually.

Brian was thinking about the plot of the next semester, and said in a deep voice: "I understand."

"You won't say something reliable." Mrs. Fly gave Mr. Fly a light look, and she tapped the table, and the food on the table was replaced by a variety of desserts. "Brian, you'll go to Greengrass's house tomorrow night, right?"

"Yes, tomorrow is Daphne's birthday." Brian said with a piece of lemon.

"Then I have to prepare a decent dress for you." Mrs. Fley said softly.

"Actually there is no need to be so serious." Brian said helplessly.

"That won't work."

"The starry sky is so beautiful tonight. Are you going to the garden together later?" said Mrs. Fley.

"Of course." Brian said.

After dinner, they sat and chatted on the garden bench, with cool drinks on the white round table next to them.

Some magical plants in the garden that love the nights bloom brightly with beautiful fluorescent lights. The breeze blows down the petals, and they dance in the air, making people feel like they are in the ocean of fireflies.

"A new nest of flower fairies has been brought into the garden. It's great that they can make the flowers bloom more beautifully." Mrs. Fley's expression seemed extremely quiet at night. "They probably settled here."

Brian nodded slightly, he liked the relaxed and peaceful atmosphere at this moment.

"The stars are so beautiful tonight." Mrs. Fley looked up at the stars, "Do you know, Brian? When you were born, the stars in the sky were amazingly bright."

"We think you will be extraordinary," Mr. Foley laughed. "I wanted to name you Starr, but your mother rejected it."

"That's more like a girl, Albert," said Mrs. Fley.

"Yes, you're right." Mr. Fry hugged Mrs. Fry's shoulder and smiled.

...

"Oh, Brian, come here, this set of clothes has too wide shoulders..." said a gentle female voice.

"Try this one... Well, the color of this dress makes you look bad..." said the female voice gentle.

"Mom, I've tried more than a dozen pieces." Brian let her fiddle with her expression, "It's just a birthday party."

"Oh, okay, okay, I think this one is more suitable, not that serious and not rude..." Mrs. Fley picked up the dark robe she tried first.

"By the way, what birthday gift are you going to give?" she said softly.

"A bottle of joy." Brian said casually by tidying up the collar.

"A good idea, but you have to tell her not to use too much." Mrs. Fley smiled, "I remember, not long after I graduated, one time on my birthday, your father gave me a bottle of love potion and lied to me that it was a blessing potion."

"So you're together after that?" Brian said curiously.
