Chapter 32 Exam Week
Brian listened quietly to Malfoy's story and analyzed the situation in his mind.
"After extinguishing the fire in the forbidden forest, the silly man took us to see the unicorn's corpse." Malfoy continued, "It was so miserable, and it was bleeding all over the ground."
"Actually, I really want to see a unicorn." Malfoy said, "I didn't expect that the first time I saw a unicorn was when I saw its body."
"What happened later?" Brian stared at his gray eyes.
"Later, the stupid man brought us back to the castle and let us go back by ourselves." Malfoy said slowly in a long tone.
"Potter was still trembling on the way back, he must have been frightened."
"I never knew Hogwarts would be so dangerous!" Malfoy complained, "What if that monster came into the castle?"
"Maybe he is a member of the castle." Brian picked up breakfast and said casually, "He has a magic wand and can spell it. He should be someone in the castle. You know, Hogwarts can't come in casually. He wore a black robe and a hood, and shouldn't have lived in the Forbidden Forest all the time."
"You mean, we've been spending time with that vicious guy?" Malfoy took a deep breath.
"No, Brian, I can't stay here anymore." He grabbed Brian's cuff and said, "Let's transfer school. It's better to transfer to Demstrong than here. I don't want to be attacked by a life-seeking curse at any time!"
"Demstrong is almost the same, even more dangerous, because there is no Dumbledore there. And there is no black magic there, and many black magic is not much better than the life-seeking curse." Brian looked at him and said.
"I understand your fear, Draco." Brian looked at him deeply, "Death is such a terrifying thing, so cherish the hard-earned peace now."
"I'm not afraid," Malfoy said with his chin raised, "I just don't think we need to take this risk."
"No, you should face it." Brian shook his head, "Wishful deprivation of life is always one of the worst crimes."
"So, the reason why the Dark King period was dark is because no one knew whether death would come to him in the next moment." Brian's tone became quiet, "Everyone was trembling, because Dark King was born and killed, and that was definitely not a beautiful era."
"Only by facing cruelty can we have a deeper respect for life."
Malfoy nodded thoughtfully, then reacted and said, "I didn't say the Dark Lord, it's a life-seeking curse, Brian, I almost died! I never thought Hogwarts would..."
Malfoy kept chattering in his ear, causing Brian to grab his hair a little annoyed.
"I think you should consider the exam, Draco." Brian rubbed his temples and slapped the magic history textbook in his arms expressionlessly.
Malfoy collapsed with a textbook in his arms.
...
After the Forbidden Forest Incident, everything was calm.
There was no Dumbledore's investigation, no too tense atmosphere.
The students were still immersed in the intense review.
Although Malfoy wrote to tell his father about this, the Ministry of Magic's Aurors came to investigate for several days, but it had little to do with Brian.
Quirrell looked for Brian once before get out of class, and then the two of them had no other communication.
Brian revealed one thing to him: Dumbledore placed Eris Mirror somewhere in the castle during Christmas. Kiro thoughtfully asked him to leave, and never looked for him again.
Brian no longer thought about the messy things, Dumbledore would do everything anyway.
That's how the exam began.
Brian took a quill that had been used to prevent cheating and finished writing answers in a classroom that was as hot as a steamer.
There are also practical operation exams.
Professor Flivie of the spell class asked them to line up and walk into the classroom one by one, asking them to chant a spell and make a pineapple dance across the desk.
It's very simple, for Brian.
Malfoy also thought these exams were a piece of cake. But Goal said that his pineapple always splits in the middle, and I wonder if he would lose many points.
During the Transformation Examination, Professor McGonagall asked them to turn a mouse into a snuff box. Brian spent some time to make the snuff box he created more exquisite, with beautiful strips on it.
Professor McGonagall should be quite satisfied with this, and her always stern face has softened a little.
But after the exam, Daphne grabbed her hair maniily and opened her eyes with thick dark circles. She said in a crumble tone that there were several rat beards on the snuff box she had created.
The potion test was even more difficult, they prepared the potion of forgetting. Professor Snape always stood behind Harry and stared at him, as if waiting for him to make a mistake.
Brian saw Harry's head covered with fine cold sweat.
A large number of bubbles emerged from Crabb's cauldron, like soda that had been shaken for a long time, attracting Snape's attention.
He scolded Crab hard because he made every step wrong, making Snape feel that he was deliberately against him.
At the same time, Malfoy had to celebrate his birthday during the intense exam week.
Brian went to the kitchen to find the enthusiastic and hardworking house elves and asked them to make a big birthday cake.
After the exam that day, several friends sang a happy birthday song around Malfoy. There were Brian, Crabbe and Gole, Shabini, Pansy, etc. Even Daphne, who was very irritable recently, was pulled over by Pansy.
Pansy gave Malfoy a pink old hat with a red face, which made his expression slightly distorted, and he thanked him stiffly.
Shabini got a team of goblins wearing white ballet tutus from somewhere. They jumped around in the lounge and sang loudly in their gong-like voices: "Oh, Draco, my most cherished friend, your eyes are shining than stars, your hair is as bright as gold, and your face is more charming than flowers... Happy birthday and happy forever..."
Malfoy's pale cheeks swelled into the fiery red of Weasley's hair, and he shouted loudly, "Stop singing, stop!" while grabbing the goblins in the lounge.
The little wizards in the lounge laughed, filled with joyful air.
Brian looked at Malfoy's embarrassing appearance and felt scared.
His birthday was in February. On his birthday, Shabini brought him a big colorful bag of firecrackers. After Brian pulled it open, he burst out more than a dozen colorful little flower spirits. They circled around his head for an entire hour and sang a happy birthday song loudly.
Shabini is a birthday nightmare!
Malfoy was ashamed of having no shame after this birthday for a long time, and missed his birthday when he was at home.
In previous years, his birthday would definitely be celebrated throughout the day, and there would be a grand birthday party.
In fact, Brian's previous birthday was similar. Mrs. Fley was always willing to do a big fuss. Maybe she just took this opportunity to invite friends to hold another dance party.
Birthday is just a small episode of the exam week, and the tense exam is still underway.
The practical operation exam is not difficult for Brian, but it is a little worse in the theoretical exam.
Brian had no problem with basic magic theory knowledge. But in the history of magic, he didn't have the intention to remember which wizards invented the automatic stirring crucible.
In the last magic history exam, Brian could only answer the knowledge points he remembered first, while the others answered the paper half-guessed and half-guessed.
Finally, the exam was over. They had a whole week of free rest time until the exam results were announced.
After the exam, Slytherin's predecessor Emma Farley brought a lot of food from the kitchen, as well as candy and butter beer bought by senior students from Hogsmeade Village and all kinds of fun things, Slytherin's wizards had a carnival in the common room.
They started to celebrate politely like adults, but soon they stopped restraining themselves and laughter almost overturned the ceiling.
I don’t know who put out a few fireworks, but they were spinning on the ceiling, causing bursts of exclamations.
A senior student leaned against the fireplace and played the violin and showed off his skills. He expressed his gracefully to the predecessor Emma in full view of everyone, causing her to run away with a blushing face.
Brian ate sizzling honey candy and felt it was too sweet. Then he lowered his head to avoid a piece of cream cake that someone threw over.
Malfoy was stealing a butter beer, slamming his mouth with disgust, complaining that it was a cheap drink, while drinking it all the time.
Brian dipped a piece of cream with his finger, turned around and smeared it on Malfoy's face, took away the drink in his hand and said, "Minors are not allowed to drink alcohol." This caused a large piece of cream cake that Malfoy threw at him.
Crab and Gole were siping candy and cakes with concentration, ignoring the noise around them.
Daphne and her friends watched with a smile as the seniors formed several groups of flowers, twisting the stems of the flower, the petals opened and closed, singing the most popular songs in different tones, and there were little flower fairies dancing lightly inside.
Here, both boys and girls laughed and celebrated the end of the exam.
Brian let himself fit into the atmosphere of joy and temporarily forget all his worries.
