Chapter 20 Mr. Foley's Friend
"Good evening, Professor Snape." Brian greeted with an unscrupulous manner.
"What are you going to do?" Snape looked at him with cold and empty eyes, and the rare softening was a little bit.
"Ah, I went to Professor Quirrell's office." Brian said the truth, "You know, Professor Quirrell's lessons always make me feel a little silly."
Snape nodded, unable to see what he was thinking. He said in a slick voice with a sarcastic tone: "Don't always go to him. I think it's hard to explain some of the questions to you with the level of Kilow. You can ask me."
"Okay, thank you, Professor Snape." Brian showed the most appropriate smile.
Looking at Snape's back floating away like a big black bat, Brian thought thoughtfully: "So he is caring about me and keeping me away from the dangerous figure of Kiro?"
"It's really awkward. People who don't know think he is still thinking about the position of the Black Magic Defense Arts class and want to enjoy it."
But this is good news for him. At least Snape's level of black magic defense is absolutely excellent, and he can learn a lot.
Brian spent a day scheduling all the knowledge of black magic defense and potion that he wanted to figure out, and added some of the issues that Hermione discussed with him in his letter.
On the afternoon of the third day, Brian, who had finished Potions class, knocked directly on the door of Snape's office.
This office is a dim room, and the lights make it look green. On the shelf are filled with bottles of colorful potions, strange animal and plant specimens, and various medicinal materials.
Brian was a little glad that he didn't find a few specimens of the Silver Snake inside.
Snape was sitting behind the desk, looking through a roll of parchment. He said in a low and sleek tone: "Sit down here, Brian."
"Okay, professor." Brian sat down properly and watched Snape roll up the parchment in his hand and put it aside.
Snape turned his eyes to him, and Brian knew he could ask questions.
"Professor, I would like to ask you some questions about the dark magic defense..." Brian said with his pure and studious eyes widened.
Brian said his own problems one by one. Snape could always point out the problem in concise language, which made Brian suddenly realize.
Compared with Snape's teaching level, what Kilo teaches is simply shit!
"I was amazed by your level of knowledge, Brian." Snape said at the end.
"Your knowledge reserves amaze me, Professor." Brian said gently, "You are the best professor of dark magic defense and potions."
Snape's expression was obviously softer.
"I know your father, Brian." He said, "in fact, he prepares gifts for me every Christmas."
"Father always takes his friends very seriously." Brian smiled. It seemed that Snape was one of the countless friends his father said.
"Yeah, he's always enthusiastic." Snape sighed.
In fact, that is to you. Mr. Albert Fly always speaks to others and speaks to ghosts. Brian complained silently in his heart.
Mr. Fley can make people feel like spring breeze, or it can make people hate them. There is no doubt that he found the best way to deal with Professor Snape, who is probably not good at dealing with enthusiastic friends.
Brian walked out of Snape's office and gently closed the door.
He took a few steps and saw the Harry trio passing by not far ahead, who were turning their heads to look at him. He nodded to them, mainly Hermione.
"Did you see it? Fley just came out of Snape's office." Ron whispered when Brian walked away.
"He probably went to ask questions or something." Hermione frowned slightly.
"But, I saw Snape threatening Professor Quirreau not long ago. He must have wanted to ask about the method to crack the spell that Professor Quirreau arranged under the trap door." Harry said.
"Remember before? Forley deliberately took us to the trapdoor. Later, he had prepared to knock down the monster and drew the professors' attention. That night, Snape tried to pass through the trapdoor, but was bitten by a big dog. "Harry said with a smile, "In addition, he was very close to Snape..."
"The facts are obvious. He and Snape are in the same group. He has always wanted to help Snape get the Philosopher's Stone!" Harry concluded.
"Yes, Hermione, don't always talk to him," Ron agreed.
Hermione frowned in entanglement, feeling a little headache.
Hermione was a little at a loss. The two of them were so determined that she also had some doubts about whether it was true.
But she decided to give this special friend more trust, so she asked indirectly about the reason in a letter to Brian that night.
"You know, Professor Hermione, Professor Quirrello always vaguely in the textbooks. I've been asking Professor Quirrello about our arguments."
"But outside Professor Quirrell's office that day, Professor Snape asked me to stay away from Professor Quirrell, and he said he could ask him if he had any questions."
"Professor Quirreau looks really uncomfortable lately, so I didn't bother him anymore. He should have had a little rest."
"To be honest, maybe a little disrespectful to Professor Quirrell, but Professor Snape's teaching skills are really much better. I feel saved."
"For example, the issue we have been arguing about is not that complicated at all, it should be..."
Hermione felt better after seeing Brian's letter.
But she obviously couldn't change her friends' opinions, and Harry just mused: "Has he seen Snape outside Professor Quirrell's office? It seems that he forced Quirrell very tightly. Professor Quirrell has been haggard recently."
"I really hope Professor Quirrell can stick with it," Ron said. "I think maybe Fley and Snape are taking turns trying to ask something from Professor Quirrell."
"You always think of people as bad as you think they are bad, so you always think of him as bad things." Hermione said in dissatisfaction, "This is too arbitrary."
"Why don't you say that Professor Quirrell was trying to get the Philosopher's Stone, and the two of them were trying to stop him?" Hermione gave an example, "Is this a good idea?"
"Oh, how is this possible, Hermione." Ron said with his shoulders, "Look at how pitiful Professor Quirrell is."
"I'm just giving an example." Hermione glared at him.
...
Inside the Slytherin Lounge, Brian looked at Hermione's letter and chuckled slightly.
It seems that the little witch still has considerable trust in him.
He had no intention of hurting her heart, but the path he chose was full of surprises and he didn't know what would happen in the future.
At least from the ending, he is definitely on Harry Potter's side, but maybe the process will make them not like it very much.
Brian held his chin with one hand and fell into deep thought.
Daphne came over and sat next to him, took out the black magic defense magic homework and wrote.
"Bryan, can you borrow me some of the Dark Magic Defense Notes to read?" She said a little embarrassedly, "Pancy always pulled me to speak in the last class..."
"Ah, of course, here." Brian came back to his senses from his contemplation and took out the notes and handed them to her.
"Thank you." Daphne smiled.
"By the way, your friend Gole, has he completed that ceremony?" Daphne said curiously.
"No, I pulled him over before, and completed a ceremony in front of him, trying to tell him that I was joking." Brian shrugged helplessly, "but he stubbornly thought I had done it once, so it didn't work."
"What should I do?" Daphne lowered her head and held back her smile.
"I try to ask Draco to come and help me prove it is true or false," Brian continued. "But Draco finds it fun and refuses to help me. And he thinks the ceremony is stupid, so he doesn't do stupid things."
"So I recently gave up proving it to Goal that it was fake and instead consider how to compensate him."
"I think this shouldn't be difficult. Just prepare some of his favorite candies for Gole." Brian said with his chin in one hand, "but I'll probably provide him with candies for a whole year."
Daphne turned her head and laughed "squeak".
