Chapter 13 Christmas Holidays
"Brian, I don't want to talk to Pansy anymore." Daphne said to Brian angrily, "This time it's true."
"What's wrong?" Brian listened with a smile.
"She lost my favorite bow, but she didn't admit that it was she lost it, and mocked her for being so ugly that she didn't even want to wear it!" Daphne's voice was filled with crying.
Brian pondered for a moment and said, "Well, why did you realize that she lost it?"
"Peggy said she saw Pansy put it on her head that day, and then it fell into the lake."
Brian had nothing to say. He had to comfort the little girl who was angry and condemn Pansy Parkinson with her.
"Okay, I don't want to talk about her anymore." Daphne said in a better mood.
"By the way, can you tell me about your friends?" she said.
"Well, Draco and the others? Well, what kind of person do you think Draco is?" asked Brian.
"He...he is a little bit sarcastic, but he is not very mature at all." Daphne said directly.
Brian said a little amused and crying: "He is only eleven years old! So are you! How can you mature at this age?"
"But you are quite mature." Daphne looked at him with blue eyes, "Your eyes are like my father."
"...I'm different." Brian was silent for a moment and shook his head. "Actually, Draco is indeed immature, but he is loyal and values friends very much. Although sometimes he has small shortcomings like Pansy and sometimes annoying, he is actually very kind and a good friend."
"His personality is very interesting, some are second-rate, but it should be said to be arrogant." Brian smiled. This personality is very interesting.
"Second second? Arrogant? What does that mean?" Daphne said two strange words awkwardly.
"I'm just a little self-righteous and like to show off my looks, but in fact I'm not right, and I'm actually very kind and very... well, beautiful." Brian thought about it, "I have a very awkward personality, but very cute."
"I think he definitely doesn't like you to describe him as cute." Daphne chuckled.
"He was always with those two big guys," Daphne said, "and they had conflicts with Harry Potter. It was strange."
"Yes, this guy is so big." Brian shrugged, not intending to say in detail.
"But Crab and Goll are actually more troublesome," he continued.
Daphne didn't answer the conversation, but just looked at him with curious eyes.
"Crab is better, but Goll is the most overwhelming for me," said Brian.
"He is always clumsy and can't do anything well. We've always worried that he won't pass the o.w.l. exam then."
"But you will help him, right?" Daphne said.
"Of course, but... I joked for him that day. I told him that as long as he faced the mirror in the empty classroom on the third floor at 9 o'clock in the evening, peeled the apple skin with a silver knife, and as long as he cut the apple skin intact and ensured that the apple skin was constantly open, then took out his wand and recited "Hurry as the Law" in front of the mirror, he could summon the mirror spirit to satisfy his wish."
"You are so bad." Daphne covered her mouth and smiled, "What about it later? Did he believe it?"
"Yes, he not only believes it, but he has peeled dozens of kilograms of apples over such a long time." Brian said helplessly.
"Why? After trying it once, normal people will understand that this is fake?" Daphne's eyes widened.
"Yes, but the key is that he has not completed a ceremony yet." Brian was even more helpless, "He can never let the apple skin be kept away from being disconnected in the middle."
Daphne stared at her eyes for a long time, then laughed out loud.
"I've been trying to tell him that I'm lying to him recently, but he doesn't believe it. He must try it once by himself." Brian spread his hands, "He might have to peel the apple skin for a whole year."
"I'm looking for a way to ensure that when he finally completes a ceremony, our friendship will not break." Brian concluded, "Do you have any advice for me?"
"No, I think you can peel the apple with him." Daphne covered her stomach and couldn't straighten her waist.
...
The Christmas holiday is coming, and almost all the little wizards are unwilling to learn, and everyone is looking forward to the holiday.
The weather became biting cold, and the underground classroom where the Potions class was located was even more wet and cold.
Malfoy was wrapped tightly in his clothes, close to the steaming crucible to keep warm.
"You should wear more clothes." Brian said in a warm black silver cloak, looking at Malfoy's slightly thin clothes.
"Stop talking, I didn't expect this classroom to be so cold." Malfoy complained. He always disliked that wearing too much clothes would damage his image.
In order to divert his attention, he began to mock Harry Potter again and said, "Oh, poor Potter and Weasley, do your family want you? Or is the Weasley family unable to support you anymore, so do you want the whole family to beg together?"
Crab and Gole snickered on the side, accidentally knocking over their cauldron.
Harry ignored Malfoy, and Ron glared at him fiercely.
This made Malfoy excited and he didn't plan to let them go until the Potion class was over.
He kept mocking the two little pitiful people who were no one wanted to have to celebrate Christmas at Hogwarts, and finally Brian couldn't stand it and dragged him away.
"You know, I'm spending Christmas in Hogwarts, too," Brian said helplessly.
"Well, you're different from them." Malfoy muttered, "this is cool."
"I also want to spend Christmas in Hogwarts, which will be very different from previous years." Malfoy raised his chin and said, "but my mother cried and asked me to go back, so I had to go home to comfort her."
Soon, the Christmas holiday arrived as scheduled, and most of the little wizards went home, and the school seemed much empty.
Brian held an envelope with white roses on it. The font on it was exquisite and soft. The envelope was sprayed with perfume, emitting a faint fragrance.
This is a letter from his mother.
Brian unfolded the letter paper. Mrs. Fley supported him when she learned about his stay in school on Christmas, but she also wrote some advice in it. The longing and concerns revealed between the lines made Brian sigh slightly.
He had never dealt with this situation, nor was he ready to face her.
Of course, this is just one of the reasons why he decided to stay in school. One more important thing is that he needs to look at the Eris mirror, the mirror that can show the desire in people's hearts.
He doesn't want to see it, he needs to see it.
Perhaps, it can show Brian what he really longs for and make him recognize his heart.
This is very important.
This magic mirror should have been placed there specifically for Harry by Dumbledore, and it is only placed there during Christmas. He wants to seize the time to find the mirror.
But it also means that it is very likely that he will face Dumbledore for the first time. He will definitely monitor the one there.
For this reason, he could no longer practice brain closure step by step, but used another testimony point to reach the level of mastery. This should be enough to deal with Dumbledore's possible divine enchantment. After all, he could not use this magic to a student with all his strength, which would be easily discovered and extremely disrespectful to people.
Walking out of the castle, there was thick snow outside. Weasley's twin brothers Fred and George were having snowball fights. They used magic on the snowballs and asked them to chase after Quirrell. Brian saw several snowballs hit Quirrell's back of the head.
Brian couldn't help but sigh that Voldemort, who chose the back of Quirrell's head, was really terrible.
He also secretly rammed a snowball, tapped it with his wand, letting it mix into the Weasley brothers' snowball ball, and finally hit the back of Quirrell's head heavily.
"It's quite decompressive." Brian commented.
He circled a few times on the field, but was hit by the Weasley brothers' snowballs. They used the same trick again and let the snowballs chase his head.
Brian pulled out his wand and muttered something, allowing the snowball to fly back faster, but fell to the ground halfway. The Weasley brothers grimaced at him with a smile.
Brian shook his head, ignored them, turned around and entered the castle and headed towards Kilow's office.
He knocked on the door and walked into the office.
Quirot was sitting on a chair and reading a book. He could not see the embarrassing look he had just now, but his face was obviously paler.
"Professor Quirrell, you don't look very good," said Brian.
"Ah, it's okay, I just need a little more rest." Qiluo's voice trembled slightly.
Brian nodded and said nothing more.
Perhaps the possession of the Dark King was constantly eroding his life, making him more and more haggard.
"I've found something from Porter, maybe it's helpful. You know, he has a good relationship with Hager," said Brian. "Hagir always wanted to raise a dragon, and he loved it enthusiastically."
"I think if there is a way to get a dragon egg, he can lower his vigilance and find a way to get him drunk, and maybe he can talk out of his mouth." Brian said calmly.
Although Hagrid is careless and prone to letting go of some things, it is only for the people he is close to.
And Hagrid is actually very vigilant about unfamiliar people and strangers.
At least he would never let someone get him drunk, and would not reveal any key information.
But there is no doubt that he will lose his mind only when facing what he urgently wants.
And a dragon egg is such a thing.
