Chapter 7 Bertha Jorkins
Cedric was chatting in the front hall, and with him were also Weasley and Mr. Digory.
"How did you come?" Mr. Weasley stood up excitedly and asked, "A car?"
"The door key, Mr. Weasley," replied William, "he took out a golden coin from his pocket."
William knew that Mr. Weasley was transforming cars. During the summer vacation, he wrote to ask many questions related to cars.
"Oh, of course, the Ministry of Magic is still cautious this time." Mr. Weasley was a little disappointed. "Last time, I didn't use the door key, and I was almost discovered by the Muggles from the tour group."
The location of Merlin Cabin is a tourist attraction for Muggles and can easily be discovered if you are not careful.
Mr. Digory came over and shook hands affectionately with William, and he said, "William, thank you for your invitation.
Every year, the awards banquet for the Medal of the Sir Merlin invites senior executives and politicians from all over the world, as well as outstanding figures in various industries."
"But there are very few invitations circulating in the UK and it is difficult to get it. Lovegood still wants to spend 200 Gallon to buy my place. He wants to bring his daughter Luna, but I rejected it."
"Nothing." William said politely: "Cedric is my good friend."
"Who else hasn't arrived?" asked Mr. Weasley.
"Flewy and Professor McGonagall have arrived early with Professor Dumbledore, and we will go in first," said William.
Everyone walked outside.
The place where they settled was a village called Shalisbury, a village gathering with wizards and the largest village in England that lives with Muggles.
They usually hide their identities and concentrate on tourism, just to cover up the ceremony of the Medal Merlin.
After crossing a distance, everyone came to a magnificent ruins.
Stonehenge.
"Oh, I've been here, I haven't noticed anything unusual before." Hermione covered her mouth in surprise.
Stonehenge is a famous British attraction, but unexpectedly there is a Merlin hut hidden underground.
Fred explained: "Children from wizards know that there is a bedtime story about Stonehenge and Merlin.
Legend has it that in order to commemorate King Arthur's uncle, Merlin sang a magical ballad, called huge stones from Ireland, and built Stonehenge overnight on the Salisbury Plain."
William shrugged: "My bedtime story is the love, hate, and love between Snow White and the Seven Calabashes."
Hermione looked at William with a confused look on her face. What the hell are the seven gourd babies?
Everyone stepped into Stonehenge, and the gold coins in William's pocket floated from his pocket, projecting a light. With the darkness in front of them, they appeared at one end of an extremely deep and spectacular hall.
The hall is covered with very bright black wooden floors, and the peacock blue ceiling is inlaid with shiny golden symbols that continue to move and change.
"Go here," said Mr. Weasley.
Under the guidance of Mr. Weasley, everyone came to the left, where there was a sign on it that said the safety place.
As they approached, a wizard looked up at them and put down the "Prophet Daily" in his hand.
"Stand here." The wizard said in a boring tone.
Everyone walked towards him and he took out a long golden rod, which was as thin and soft as a car antenna, and the wizard used it to fly up and down everyone.
"Wand." The wizard in the security department put down the golden device and reached out his hand.
William, Hermione, Cedric and others handed over their wands.
The wizard placed his wand onto a strange brass instrument, which was somewhat like a dish antenna of various proportions.
The instrument began to vibrate, and five narrow strips of parchment came out from the bottom of the instrument. The wizard picked up the parchment and read the text on it.
"Cherry wood, phoenix feathers, twelve and three quarters inches, is the information correct?"
"Yes." William replied.
"I'll keep this," said the wizard, nailing the small strip of parchment to a small copper nail. "You take the wand back."
He threw the wand to William and added.
"Thanks."
"Wait..." the wizard suddenly said.
"You're... William Stark?"
He glanced at the Daily Prophet, which also had a photo of William on it.
"Yes."
"Oh huh, I caught the Death Eater who attacked the Ministry of Magic alone. I heard my son mention you, he is Shabby of Hufflepuff."
William remembers Shabby, a man who almost fell into the microbial corrosion pool during flight class.
The wizard took out the paper and seemed to want to sign it.
"Thank you, O'Lee." Mr. Weasley said calmly. "Check out other wands, we have something to do."
"Oh OK."
The wizard quickly checked all the wands and he spoke, "Bertha Joggins will take you to the Merlin Memorial."
Mr. Digory raised his eyebrows.
"Oh, don't do this Digory. We have no one here for the time being. You know, this is the Merlin Medal ceremony, and wizards all over the world are here today."
The wizard complained: "If you want me to say that you shouldn't send so many invitations, just send them to the winners and his relatives. If you send so many to the politicians and rich wizards, you don't know how much money the Ministry of Magic has received..."
"Okay," interrupted Mr. Weasley, "Where has Bertha gone? She won't be lost again, right?"
"It's very likely." O'Lee smiled wickedly, "Maybe she can find her way after the banquet is over.
Her memory has become so poor recently that she often forgets all kinds of things like an old lady.
Mr. Crouch should have her leave our department quickly and go to the Sports Division. Ludo Bagman is also a fool and should be considerate of her."
"Hello! Hello!" At this moment, an anxious voice came from the opposite side of the hall, "Is there a new customer? I just got lost in the toilet."
William saw a witch holding a sign and holding a parchment roll hurried towards them.
The witch was a little fat and found her way again. She waved happily, revealing her curly blonde hair under her fashionable thread-weaving wizard hat.
Well... I get lost even when I go to the toilet. Can I really take a few people to the Merlin Memorial Hall?
William was very suspicious.
