0009 [Open a film company]

Volkswagen parked at the gate of Beijing Electric Power School, opened the door, and walked down a beautiful beauty, three points more beautiful than the beauty in Beijing Electric Performance Department, and it was only 17 or 18 years old.

Chen Chong and Li Xia's eyes were straight at that time.

Wan Xiaohu is a person who has experienced it. When women see it, they take a step forward as normal and stretch out their hand: "Welcome to Boss Su."

Su Ya held back her smile and shook hands with Wan Xiaohu: "Hey, that's not right, Director Wan, is it necessary to be so formal?"

"I'm making movies seriously, and you're investing seriously, so of course you have to be more regular. Have you eaten breakfast?"

"have eaten."

"Then, let's go to the small auditorium to discuss things?" With Su Ya's consent, Wan Xiaohu led the way and told Li Xia to buy some breakfast. Su Ya had eaten it, but the three of them hadn't eaten it yet.

In the following time, Wan Xiaohu was basically talking, eating buns while outlining the prospects of "Waiting Alone" to Su Ya. He had an old man's heart and had fourteen years of experience. When talking about fooling people, not only Su Ya could be said to be confused, but even Chen Chong and Li Xia were excited.

Some words made Su Ya feel enthusiastic about investing in "Waiting Alone".

"Director Wan, let me say that, I am really interested in investing in "Waiting Alone" and have decided to invest. However, I also have my plans. I don't want to make this movie with a casual attitude. I hope it can make the movie more regular."

Wan Xiaohu asked: "What does Boss Su mean?"

"I have learned about some of China's current policies and regulations on the film industry. There are not many private companies involved. There are very few film companies that can get regular shooting licenses. As far as I know, Huayi Brothers is a group of film and television, Poly Bona Film and Television and other few companies with social relations can film independently." Although Su Ya was fooled by Wan Xiaohu, her thoughts were still very clear.

"It's true." Wan Xiaohu nodded.

"If idle funds in society want to participate in the filming of movies, they can only invest more than 70% and jointly produce them with state-owned studios. That is, the popular jargon in private, "buy factory bids". Now on the market, factory bids basically cost 30,000 to 50,000 yuan. This is all a trivial matter. The important thing is that movies cannot be made by simply shooting them. The subsequent sales channels involve many detailed issues, so they cannot be solved by buying factory bids."

Wan Xiaohu swallowed the bun whole: "What do Boss Su have any ideas?"

Su Ya smiled: "Set up a company."

"Open a company?" Chen Chong and Li Xia exclaimed. These days, those who run companies are big bosses, representing regular soldiers. They now regard filming "Waiting Alone" as an extracurricular activity and have no contact with formal business behavior at all.

It is now 2000, and the commercial reform of the film industry has been moving forward in exploration. In addition to Feng Xiaogang opening up the New Year's Day holiday and embarking on a visible path. All directors and producers are still struggling to adhere to the concept of "the state gives money to shoot for the country", or art films that focus on humanistic care.

But the film reform is not without results.

In 1993, the Ministry of Radio and Television issued the "Several Opinions on the Reform of the Current Film Industry Mechanism", changing domestic films from China Film Company to independent distribution, breaking the monopoly of China Film Company, which gave studios the autonomy to distribute their own films abroad. At the same time, 32 provincial, autonomous regions and municipal film distribution companies obtained the right to distribute their films.

In 1994, the Ministry of Radio and Television issued the "Notice on Further Deepening the Reform of Industry Mechanisms". It is clear that from January 1995, studios can distribute their own films to all levels and projection units, which has led to a big step in deepening the reform, thus breaking the monopoly of China Film and provincial distribution companies and making the Chinese film market competitive.

In 1995, the Ministry of Radio and Television issued the "Regulations on Reforming the Management of Story Film Films". It is clear that except for studios that originally approved the State Council to have the right to produce feature films, state-owned film studios in provinces, districts and municipalities that do not have the right to film independently also have the right to film. At the same time, any social legal person organization can co-sign "jointly film" with the studio as long as the investment amount accounts for more than 70%.

In 1997, the Ministry of Radio and Television issued the "Notice on the Trial of the "Story Movie Single Film Film Production License", announcing that state-owned provincial and municipal film units, television stations, and TV series production units that meet the corresponding conditions can apply for a story movie single film production license from the Film Bureau.

These heavy documents from the radio and television department, coupled with fragmented other regulations and notices, in the seven years from 1993 to 1999, turned Chinese films under the planned economy into the market economy model, and more and more studios have obtained the filming rights.

With more studios, the threshold for joint filming has been lowered, and more and more aspiring people have begun to turn to the film industry.

It's just a new model, replacing the old model is not an easy thing to do. At least at present, there are very few people who think of opening a film company. Li Xia and Chen Chong never thought about it. Wan Xiaohu understood their thinking very well, that's the kind. If others invest in me, I will make movies for others.

I never thought that I would make money by making movies for myself.

Wan Xiaohu looked at Su Ya and felt that this white, rich and beautiful woman had a strong vision. The film industry is definitely a sunrise industry in China, and will maintain a high growth momentum in the next decade. At this time, Su Ya could think of opening a film company, which made Wan Xiaohu have to look at it with admiration.

"Boss Su wants to open a film company by himself?"

Su Ya smiled, like a little fox: "I don't hide it from you. I have planned to open a film company very early, but I haven't found a suitable opportunity. I originally planned to wait for two years to see the market situation, but Director Wan found me, which made me get started in advance."

"Setting up a company to shoot movies and investing in independent movies are two different things. Boss Su must be cautious." Wan Xiaohu reminded that of course, he hoped that Su Ya could give more investment to "Waiting Alone", but he did not hope that he would become the director who cheated others.

Investing in a movie and opening a film company are two completely different things.

After a movie is made, investors make money when they can, and lose money when they cannot. This is a very simple problem. Film companies involve all aspects. When the movies they invest in make money, the company has lost more.

Su Ya nodded: "I thought it very clearly. I want to open a film company. Your "Waiting Alone" is my company, the first work!"

"So confident?"

"Of course, I'll tell you a secret that's not a secret." Su Ya said in a low voice, "The theater system will be implemented in China soon, and the conditions for filming licenses will be relaxed step by step, and the door to the film market will be completely opened. Whoever walks faster will be able to get more cakes in the future!"

The theater system officially started in 2002, and the discussion was earlier. Although the news had been heard, it was not something that ordinary people could hear. Wan Xiaohu's eyes flashed and he deliberately tried it: "Boss Su is very informed, is there anyone above?"
