Chapter 4 [Sound]
Tan Ran got up at five o'clock.
It was still dark and the window was gray.
In this four-person dormitory, the other two roommates had not woken up yet, and the simple dormitory was so quiet that you could hear the breathing.
She had nothing to do and had no sleepiness, so she had to watch the window and wait for the dawn to arrive.
The morning reading started at 6 o'clock. But she couldn't get out of bed early. Last time she got up early to fold the quilt, she was discovered by the dormitory manager and was directly beaten by twenty rulers.
Life at Kanglong Academy is like a concentration camp. Every adult here is staring at himself all the time, afraid that the students will run away.
After half an hour of doing nothing, her roommate woke up one after another. She also got up, folded the quilt meticulously, checked that there were no wrinkles, and then went to wash.
The girl in the mirror has fair skin, unhealthy white lips, and her originally pretty face is getting thinner.
She sighed from the bottom of her heart, leaned closer, and carefully checked her appearance. There was no dandruff, and her bangs did not cover her eyebrows, so she would not be pulled into her braid.
"Let's go, we're going to be late."
The three girls hurried out of the girls' dormitory building, passed by the dormitory manager who checked the room door by door to door on the corridor, stopped, bowed neatly and 90 degrees, and squeezed out a standard smile:
"Good morning teacher."
The woman, who was nearly forty, walked up to Tan Ran with her brows raised, looked at her carefully for a while, then sniffed her hair again, confirming that she had washed her hair last night, then she let out a cold "um" and turned around and left. Tan Ran breathed a sigh of relief.
"Goodbye to the teacher."
The three girls bowed to the woman's departure again.
When they arrived at the classroom and returned to their respective seats, the students turned out the books from their desks and started reading in the morning.
"If you don't marry, follow your father, follow your husband after getting married, follow your son after your husband die..."
The neat recitation sounded on time at 6 o'clock, and the morning reading was mostly about words that were grateful to parents and ethical.
People from Kanglong Academy call it "Chinese Studies".
But Tan Ran felt that this was not Chinese studies, it was just a feudal outdated idea. The girls in this class came from the 21st century, but they had to be mentally wrapped.
She never shares this idea with anyone. Once the teacher finds out, she will inevitably beat a dragon whip.
A few minutes later, the teacher in class yawned and came late. The class monitor shouted, and everyone bent down and shouted "Good morning teacher."
"Good morning."
After receiving the response, the class monitor called on the students to sit down and continue reading in the morning.
It was seven o'clock, and the class meeting was held. There was a knock on the door outside the classroom. The teacher went to open the door. When the students saw the visitor, they stood up in unison and squeezed out their smiles:
"Good morning, chief of the mountain."
"Very good, very good." The mountain captain Liu Binghu smiled with satisfaction, and his bright head was radiant. He was nearly fifty years old, with a medium figure, with a string of fat and heavy Buddhist beads hanging around his neck, but he pretended to be wearing a scholar's robe, and his whole body was filled with a greasy atmosphere.
He walked two steps into the classroom before people saw him holding a little girl in his hand.
"I'll introduce you to you. This is a new classmate. From now on, she will be in your Chenxi class. Her name is...uh, Gu Lingling."
Liu Binghu pushed the girl with a cringe expression in front of him. The girl was very beautiful, only twelve or thirteen years old, and there was a deep confusion in her clear eyes.
"Gu Lingling, let me introduce yourself to you."
Gu Lingling did not respond, her head was lowered slightly with her eyes dodged and her fingers were twisted. Liu Binghu's smile gradually became a little embarrassed. Then she touched her head and said suddenly:
"Oh, I forgot... Gu Lingling was born with a little hearing problem and couldn't hear us."
The students in the class looked at each other, and everyone read a little surprised from each other's eyes.
Tan Ran's lips opened slightly.
"Master, this child can't hear anyone talking, so how should I teach him?"
"Then I have to ask Teacher Hu, please think of more solutions. The students in other classes are full."
"Is this what..."
The woman surnamed Hu sighed, walked to Gu Lingling again, gestured with her hands and feet, and introduced herself several times. Gu Lingling's face became more and more confused. She took a step back and couldn't understand her lips.
Teacher Hu pulled her to the blackboard again and wrote the words "self-introduction".
Gu Lingling understood. She turned around and looked at the students in the class timidly, plucked up the courage to open her mouth, made a babbling sound, and gestured several gestures. The people in the class were confused.
Gu Lingling was a little anxious, felt a little embarrassed, blushed, and bowed to everyone over and over again, not knowing how to step down.
The awkward atmosphere was stalemate for a while, and someone raised his hand.
"That... Teacher Hu, I can understand some sign language."
Tan Ran pursed her lips and said:
"Just... Gu Lingling was talking about her age. She is 13 years old this year and is from Nanchang..."
"Ah, it's so great." Teacher Hu breathed out with a general amnesty and said hurriedly:
"Then in this way, you will be your deskmate with Gu Lingling in the future. If you don't know anything, just teach her. Is it OK, Tan Ran?"
Tan Ran was stunned for a moment and nodded quickly:
"I understand, teacher."
She walked out of the seat and carefully supported Gu Lingling to her seat. She could feel Gu Lingling's arms were very stiff, as if she was a natural resistance to strangers. Tan Ran couldn't help but feel a little pity. Such a young child was taken to Kanglong Academy. She didn't know what to go through in the future, nor did she know if she could accept it.
Tan Ran turned around, looked at Gu Lingling seriously, stretched out her index finger and pointed at her, then clasped her fingers into a fist, stretched her thumb up, and made a "hello" gesture.
Gu Lingling blinked her eyes and saw it clearly. The resistance in her eyes became slightly weaker.
Tan Ran was happy in her heart, thought about it again, introduced herself in sign language, and muttered silently:
"My name is Tan Ran."
Sign Language could not express her name accurately, so she picked up a pen again, wrote down her name on her notebook, and showed it to Gu Lingling.
Gu Lingling looked at the notebook, turned her head to look at her, her eyes flashing like a newborn deer. She noticed that there were scars next to Gu Lingling's cheeks, and suddenly remembered that every freshman would be closed in the boredom relief room for seven days before entering the school. I think Gu Lingling was not spared.
When Tan Ran felt a little sad when she was locked in a dark room, lonely and no one responded no matter how she called for help, and even caused an angry beating from the instructor and teacher.
She pursed her lips, stretched out her hand, and waved her left and right.
"don't want."
Then, he patted his chest with his hands.
"Fear."
Her sign language was a little awkward, after all, she had never studied it professionally. But Gu Lingling still understood it, nodded gently, and looked at her with her eyes no longer shivering.
Tan Ran showed a beautiful smile.
Keep making gestures.
