Chapter 35 Mixed Blood

In the sixth year of Wanli, three young Spanish men rowed a sloop boat and boarded the Dividing Peninsula, and entered the Ming army's sphere of influence openly.

They brought an old mesh pistol obtained by bribing Spanish posts, and did not intend to hide it from the Ming army who was inspecting it. They even asked the Ming army to inform them of visiting Governor Almanza.

The Ming army only cared about their camps and warships, and did not care about the camps of the New Spanish governor next to them. Even for the Spaniards, their eyes were more focused on military mobilizations on the other side. For the young Spaniards, there was only a precaution and no more control.

As for the pistol, isn’t it normal for the Spanish to bring a pistol?

At least that's what Governor Almanza's guards thought, but they still did not let the three young men enter the camp.

When the incident happened, Almansa was about to go to the Ming army camp two miles away for an appointment dinner.

The results of the negotiations have long been passed back to the Dividing Peninsula and even to Mexico City on the other side, and sent to Panama through land cavalry. This should have been on the ship to Seville.

He led the two guards out of the camp and saw a few young faces in front of the camp gate arguing with the soldiers. As soon as he heard the guards greet him, a scream came from his ear.

Fire and smoke burst out in front of him. The lead ball broke the two fingers blocked and continued to hit the dark plate armor violently, leaving a dent as big as a thumb and a flat lead ball.

Three young men wanted to draw their swords and stab when they missed one blow, but the Spanish guards did not give them this opportunity. The two were killed on the spot, and another assassin was knocked over to the ground and was caught.

When Fu Yuan arrived, Almansa had already gotten bandaged. Almansa was lying on the bed, but as the news spread, Fu Yuan knew that his card friend's life was not serious.

"I said you should go there early and you can play two poker games with us. I am tired of playing for 40 Spanish cards. It's time to try the 78 Italian gameplay. Playing two cards can save you two fingers."

Fu Yuan said as he looked at Almansa's dark hemostatic cloth with disgust, and ordered his subordinates to return to the camp to recruit military doctors, saying, "The Portuguese deserves no one to go to the hospital in Haojing. This is not as good as my military doctor... It seems that it is wise for you to run here. Those three people are the new nobles you mentioned?"

If the new nobles in New Spain were all such death-death men, Fu Yuan thought about Almanza and asked Gao Ming to put the trouble down and then talk about handing over the land to the Ming army.

Armansa smiled bitterly and said to Yuan: "The church hospital in Macau is for French patients and lepers. They are not new nobles."

The so-called French patients are syphilis patients. The names of syphilis in European countries are large-scale blaming sites, and they are all pushed to other countries. The Ottomans are the most cruel and directly named this disease Christian disease.

"I didn't expect that after the despicable English pirates invaded the coast, most of the peninsula nobles and new nobles had supported handing over part of the land to the Ming Kingdom for the auxiliary defense of the Ming fleet, but I forgot about those damn mixed-race children."

After being assassinated, Almansa no longer had any kindness towards the Spanish-Indian mixed-race children. He supported himself with his right hand in annoyance and said, "They are better than the new nobles!"

The three assassins are all mixed-race children.

This situation was unexpected. Almansa sat up and dealt with Yuan: "Their assassination of me is probably just the beginning. If they are dissatisfied with the status quo, it will be very dangerous for the whole of New Spain. Then the Ming army will have to provide help."

Fu Yuan, who was originally relaxed and even had a little bit of a joke mentality, frowned when he heard the Western Governor say this, "I'm afraid of only one of these millions of people. What are you afraid of? I will add patrols to the island. No one can come again, so take care of your injuries."

"No, you don't understand."

Armansa knew very well that mixed-race children were probably not an isolated case. For the new nobles and the peninsula nobles, losing a part of their dominant land would be very beneficial to the Ming army's assistance in defense.

Everyone cares more about reality and themselves. In the eyes of most people, they don’t pay much. Half of Panama is still in control of the Spanish. The land in the north has not been developed, and what they have lost is only part of the coastal land and deserts of the original Inca Empire.

Now that belongs to the Peru Governor's District, the Indians rebelled and never even stopped, resulting in the excavation of gold, copper and silver mines not going well. This is the reason why they offered the Ming army a year to 50,000 taels of silver.

Their spending on maintaining their rule there was almost half of that amount.

Those who are dissatisfied with Panama and the few planters there, but that is also a problem that money can solve.

The real benefit to the Spanish is that the Ming army can reason, although Chen Mu's greed can swallow an elephant, there is still a reason to say.

There are no matter how many pirates in England, especially Drake. Wherever you go, that is the real danger.

Whether people support it or not is all because of money.

But mixed races are different, they oppose because of honor.

They felt that they had a Spanish father and felt higher than their matriarchal compatriots. Under the education of the Spanish, they could pull out the butcher knife from the rebellious Indians without any guilt, and enjoyed this kind of pride and treatment of enslaving others and being superior to others.

There is also inevitable fragile self-esteem similar to illegitimate children.

For the peninsula nobles and new nobles, as long as the conditions are right, it is not impossible to give up the new world completely, but it only requires huge gains.

Mixed-race children are not good. Although they dislike the indigenous people of the New World, and even they dislike themselves, they are worthless when they leave the New World.

"I'm worried about Bernard, who is my corps commander, and he is the only one Spanish corps commander in Mexico, and two corps led by the mixed race have in Mexico and three in Peru."

Armansa pulled Fu Yuan's robe with her right hand and said, "General Fu, if these mixed legions rebel, please help me defeat them. Only Bernard will not last long!"

As soon as Armansa finished speaking, a muffled assertion came from outside the tent.

"No need to support!"

Shao Tingda opened the camp with a calm face, looked at Armansa with a disgust and turned to look at Fu Yuan and took a few official documents into his arms.

"Our fleet had just returned from Acapulco. A few days before the old man was assassinated, his Bebe was turned against him by other legion commanders. The six legion commanders jointly submitted an application to their West India Committee to remove the Governor."

"Don't worry, you are still the governor." Shao Tingda turned his head and looked at Armansa on the bed, sneered with his mouth, and said, "For this reason, the six legion commanders joined forces with the new nobles to form a coalition force, sent letters to the ports of towns and cities, and decided to launch a war called loyalty to His Majesty Philip of Spain."

"Your people around Mexico are locked up, and New Spain is changing flags everywhere."

Almansa widened her eyes and couldn't believe the news for a while. She held her left hand with her right hand for a while, looking more sad than breaking two fingers, and stuttering: "Then, where is the Mexico City?"
