Chapter 18 The Haunted House

"Good job, Lance!" In front of the quiet hut, six people stood shoulder to shoulder. Alice patted Lance's shoulder with some excitement.

Sack looked at Lance thoughtfully. His mood was much calmer than before. The mental power of higher apprentices was different. Under Lance's interference, he seemed to feel a little inappropriate.

"Boom!" Thunder roared and raindrops slowly fell.

Everyone looked up and looked again. There was indeed a white parrot standing on the eaves of the hut, but the parrot had a strange appearance and seemed to be struggling.

"It should be right!" Alice said with some joy: "The parrot statue is white. There should be a lot of wealth left by the great puppet masters in this hut. And it is about to rain. Before the rain stops, let's be in the house!"

"Let's go!"

The group hurriedly pushed open the rusted iron gate and walked into the courtyard.

Although from the outside, it was just a small house. When everyone walked inside, they found that it was a small manor. The cottage at the front was just a small independent building, and there was a series of houses behind it, all of which were very grand.

"At least you don't have to worry about not having enough houses tonight." Sach teased with some humor.

Du Lin smiled and echoed: "If there are enough magic materials inside, we can no longer go to the more dangerous Puppet City to take risks, but return directly."

Lance walked at the end of the team, and unlike the others, his mood was still a little uneasy.

"What's going on?" He looked around with some confusion. The entire courtyard was covered with weeds, and there was no sign of creatures everywhere.

The parrot still stood there quietly.

What was wrong? Lance frowned.

"Lance, come in quickly! This kind of rain can cause considerable harm to the human body." Alijie shouted loudly in the room.

Lance nodded and walked in quickly.

...

Crazy.

The pouring rain came as scheduled, and at the same time, the white surface of the parrot's body on the roof began to peel off, like a layer of poor paint, shattering bit by bit.

Under the erosion of heavy rain, the parrot's white appearance completely disappeared and eventually turned into black!

The image of the parrot also began to change slowly. Two minutes later, standing on the roof was a crow spreading its wings!

The white parrot eventually turned into a black crow.

The crow's eyes kept turning, and soon two lines of blood flowed down from the crow's eyes.

...

"Bang!"

The warm flames rose from the fireplace in the hall, and the glowing ladybugs were put away by Sack. They lit the candles and the fireplace, and the hall suddenly became warmer.

"Fortunately there is still some coal here." Sak said with emotion: "The whole house has probably been there for many years, and the ground is covered with dust. I have checked around the hall, and there are no traces of demonized items."

"It's normal." Alice used a level 0 spell [Wu Dust and Ungray] to the room, and the hall suddenly became much cleaner.

The few of them looked for a seat and sat down tiredly.

The rain outside the window was loud, but the room was as warm as spring. Everyone who had been maintaining a high level of tension immediately relaxed, and a feeling of fatigue surged.

"What should we do next?" Sak rubbed his temples and forced himself to stay awake. This guy was not just a show. He glanced at everyone and said calmly: "Everyone should know that we are not here to rest. We are here to find valuable magic materials and magical items."

"Each is based on luck." Alice half leaned against a sofa and said, "There are many houses and rooms here, so we can find them separately. As for whoever goes along with whom, I have no objection this time."

"Very good." Sak said with satisfaction: "Then take a break first. After ten minutes, I will go and explore the second house behind."

"I'll be with you." Martha suddenly said, "I want to follow you, Lord Sack."

Alice didn't say anything, but just looked at Sack with some fun.

Sak's face did not change his color and nodded: "Of course it can. But following my words, I must distribute the good things."

"No problem." Martha said readily. Half of her cheeks had been completely ruined. What she wanted to do now was probably to save her life.

"I also chose to be with Lord Sack." Dulin said hurriedly.

Lola looked at Martha and finally plucked up the courage to speak, "I'll be together with Senior Sister Alice."

The rest of the people finished their statements, and everyone's eyes fell on Lance.

"Mr. Lance, please come with us too." Surprisingly, Martha was the one who invited Lance. She only heard her sincerely say: "We are many people, and I believe that Lord Sack will not treat us badly."

Her eyes were filled with gratitude. Dulin suddenly felt something was wrong.

Lance smiled slightly: "Thank you for your kindness, Miss Martha. But I'll still not be with Lord Sack."

"Then, I can only hope you can be careful." Martha said with some disappointment.

"A wise choice." Alice gave Lance a thumbs up: "Follow me, we will share the things we found together."

As soon as these words were spoken, Duran's face immediately changed. Following Alice, it seemed that the benefits of gaining were even greater!

However, if you change your words now, you will definitely offend Sack. He is not so stupid.

Who knew that Lance still smiled and shook his head and said, "Thank you for your kindness, Alice."

"But I decided to be alone. I looked at it before and there were five buildings here. I chose to explore the third cottage alone. Is it okay?"

Alice's smile immediately froze there. Everyone looked at Lance with surprise. Is this guy so brave?

Sack snorted coldly, his dissatisfaction was very obvious. Dulin sneered and said, "A man? Are you looking for death? Do you think your bow and arrow can deal with all threats?"

Lance stood up, put on his hood again, and held [Oslot] in his hand. He ignored Dulin's sarcasm and took a step forward.

"Good luck to everyone. I'll leave first."

He opened the back door, walked through the corridor, and disappeared into everyone's eyes.

"A guy who doesn't know how to live or die." Du Lin said coldly, "A servant dares to act alone."

"Shut up!" Martha suddenly said coldly: "Although Mr. Lance is a servant, he is much better than a formal student. At least he saved my life, rather than being like a waste, even the spell could not be read out."

Dulin was a little embarrassed.

The fireplace in the hall made a beeping sound, and the fire swayed for a while, and everyone started to move separately in this house.

...

“Cruff!”

Pushing open the half-closed side door, the breath of dust hits you.

Lance held a bow and arrow in his hand, looking alert. The cross star in his eyes was vague and unstable. Now his physique has increased greatly, and it can last for a long time after opening Hawkeye. In such a crisis-ridden place, Hawkeye discovered the crisis in advance to save his life countless times.

A large amount of data is fed back, and there should be a kitchen behind the side door, and there is not much danger.

He stepped in.

At this moment, he suddenly heard a strange sound.

The kitchen connected to another room, as if it was there, a low crying sound came from it.

It seems like a baby is crying!

Lans suddenly felt a little numb.

"Damn, how can there be babies in such a ghost place? Is it a ghost thing?" Lance cursed in his heart, but walked over unswervingly.

Walking past the dilapidated kitchen, he came to a place similar to a small living room. In the northeast corner of the living room, a staircase winds upwards.

The baby's cry came from the sofa in the center.

Lance lit a candle and placed it on the cabinet beside it. Then he walked slowly over.
