Chapter 53 The King of the Great Sea(1/2)

"It's a bit of a small holiday, but it is said that when the maze enters, it is randomly transmitted in batches. We may not be able to meet her."

Lance answered casually and began to look at the surrounding environment.

To his expectations, the so-called steel maze was not a maze made of steel. What was presented to him was the interior of an ancient castle!

"Master William is well versed in the art of naming." Lance sighed: "I always thought there were steel structures here."

After saying that, he turned around and looked behind him.

The door had long disappeared, and behind it was a thick stone wall.

"We seem to be in a corridor." Zhan Funi looked around carefully and whispered.

"It's correct, but I still need to add that it's in the corridor of the dungeon."

Lance said, pointing to the fence that appeared in front of the left.

Zhan Funi suffocated her breath, and the two looked at each other and walked forward step by step.

On both sides of the corridor of the steel maze dungeon, an oil lamp will light up every dozen steps. The dim light illuminates every corner of the place lazily.

But when you look at it, you can't see the end of the corridor.

The two walked forward for a while, and the fences on both sides began to become dense.

These are cells with hay in it. Some cells were empty, while others were scattered with one or two corpses. Lance and Jen Funi walked along the way, and the only creature they found was a big mouse gnawing on the bones.

The mouse's eyes were glowing red. When he saw Lance approaching, he immediately retreated. It entered a hole and the two lost their traces.

"Construct." Lance concluded.

"But that looks no different from an ordinary mouse." Zhan Funi was a little confused.

Lance smiled. No explanation.

He had just used the ability of death staring to check out the mouse, but he did not see its soul mist.

No matter what kind of creature it is, there will be a soul fog. This is the law of life and death and cannot be changed.

There is only one kind of creature, outside the rules - that is the construct.

"A very powerful simulation technology is worthy of being a legendary architect." Lance exclaimed.

The two wandered around the dungeon for a while. Nothing was found except for the mouse construct.

They walked in the passage of the dungeon for a long time, and finally found a way upward, left the dungeon, and came to the interior of a dim castle.

Like in the dungeon, the corridors here are relatively open, while the candlelight remains the same.

The road ahead seems to lead to a hall.

"It's really hell. Grandpa Sort's notebook does not record these things." Zhan Funi muttered, and couldn't help looking at Lance with a puzzled look.

Lance looked at her calmly: "Don't look at me with such a look. There is absolutely no problem with the copy I gave you. In fact, I am very strange myself."

"But at least, I figured it out a little."

"What?" Zhan Funi was a little curious.

Lance pointed to the gate of the dungeon behind him and said, "Have you carefully checked their corpses in the dungeon?"

Zhan Funi was stunned for a moment and shook her head: "Why should I care about these?"

"Why?" Lance sneered, then strode forward: "Because those people are the people who entered the Hehu Town here before us."

...

"The grey dwarves, the Holts and the corpses of the black elves are rarely from other races. Apart from the seniors of Hehu Town, who else are there?"

"Obviously. For some reason, they were caught by the construct here, then threw them into the dungeon, and finally died there - of course, it could be thrown into the dungeon after death, but none of these matters, aren't it?"

Lance walked carefully while observing both sides of the corridor.

In addition to the cold stone walls and dim butter lamps at the beginning, when I arrived at this place, a pair of oil paintings with rough style suddenly appeared.

He began to stop and shared his discoveries with Zhan Funi.

"You mean, if we fail, we will be like those corpses?" Zhan Funi asked in a low voice.

"Maybe even worse."

Lance said casually, stopped in front of an oil painting, revealing a careful look.

As soon as he entered this place, he felt that his magic power was suppressed more severely. The pool of Dawn and the heart of the demons had shocks to varying degrees, which made him spend a lot of energy to control it. Obviously, after entering the country of construction, his strength was further weakened.

Apart from lightning witchcraft, he had almost no witchcraft that could be used, but with the magic being suppressed, he could not use lightning witchcraft as he would in the river and lake town.

Therefore, you must be very careful when walking in such a place.

"What's so good about this painting?" Zhan Funie frowned slightly and leaned over to Lance: "We have to find the portal to the Tower of Steel as soon as possible."

"Don't worry," Lance said. "Being too blind will only make you lose your direction."

Faced with Lance's calm tone, Zhan Funi had no choice but to calm down and observe the oil painting with Lance.

The style of this oil painting is very rough. The background is a large desert. In the desert, a group of wolves are eyeing each other. A man who was sunburned and red all over was lying in the desert, looking at Lance and Zhan Funie with coveting.

After a long time, the two of them couldn't help but feel like they were about to rush out from the painting.

"Damn, this painting is obviously so bad, why does it have such a realistic effect?" Zhan Funi muttered and looked at the side subconsciously.

There, another oil painting hangs.

On this painting, there is an ancient castle standing in the desert. There are two dead poplar trees planted in front of the castle. It is midnight, and the moon is hanging in the sky. A large number of bats fly out from the inside of the castle, which has a somewhat gloomy and terrifying effect.

Zhan Funi rubbed his eyes and looked closely. He saw a name written under the painting:

【King of the Sea II】

"What a strange name." Zhan Funi muttered.

"This is a series of oil paintings." Lance's voice rang in her ears.

She pointed at Lance's finger and looked over one by one.

Sure enough, from the first oil paintings on this side, there are six oil paintings named [King of the Sea], and the sequence extends from I to VI.

"Is this telling a story that happened in the desert?" Zhan Funi tried to participate in the exploration process.

However, Lance's expression was very strange.

He frowned, as if thinking about a difficult question.

"What did you think of?"

Lance rubbed his temples hard and suddenly looked up: "I understand!"

"So this is what [Construction Country] means!"

"I see……"

But before he finished speaking, the red-faced man in the first oil painting suddenly showed a hideous smile, and his hands, which were originally supported on the ground, suddenly opened. He actually stretched out from the oil painting!

His hands were deformed, and he grabbed the collars of Lance and Zhan Funi, and he actually grabbed the two of them into the oil painting!

With a whoosh, a few strange lights flashed on the oil painting, and the corridor returned to peace again.

Soon, a small group of black elves appeared at the other end of the corridor.

They walked slowly, but did not pay attention to the first oil painting in the series of King of the Sea. There were two lonely figures in the depths of the desert.

...

"Damn it! We're being taken to somewhere!"

Zhan Funi's cold temperament finally couldn't maintain it anymore, and such a strange incident made her completely unable to understand.

"I just said that this is the country of construction."

Lance, who was standing beside him, tidied up his collar, pretending to be careless, while opening the Hawkeye and the Black Bat at the same time, constantly scanning the surroundings.

"You mean. Those six oil paintings, the King of the Sea series, form a country of composition?!"

Zhan Funi said in disbelief: "I thought that the steel maze created by Master William is the so-called country of construction."

"Never underestimate the power of legend."

Lance squinted his eyes. Feeling the scorching sunlight hanging on his head, he was actually a little surprised.

He has tested it. This is not an illusion, but a real world.

Six oil paintings, a world, what a terrifying power this is!?

No wonder so many powerful people from Hehu Town died in the steel maze after entering the steel labyrinth. After he and Zhan Funi were inexplicably caught in by the man with severe sunburn, he himself disappeared.

But the two of them are in a very extreme environment - an endless desert.

Although neither of them is a mortal, if they are trapped in the desert forever, death is inevitable.

"What should we do?" Zhan Funi closed her eyes, felt it quietly for a while, and said in disbelief: "I didn't feel the breath of any creature."

"Of course not, this is the country of constructs." Lance said calmly: "In other words, this is the country of constructs, and it won't work by sensing vitality."

"We have to get out of here." Jenfoni looked at Lance: "Is there any way you can?"
