Chapter 32: The Night of Desire

PS: The second update is here! The next chapter is at nine o'clock!

In the center of Hehu Town, a quiet pointer slowly twitched.

At that moment, all the creatures in the city were ready.

A nervous aura slowly spread. Although it was still fifteen minutes before the law of night was implemented, many people could no longer help but reveal their hideous minions under the appearance of the Staff of Order.

There are no weak people here, because the weak have long died.

There are only fighters and war-avoiders here. The latter hid back to his residence half an hour ago - perhaps a sewer, perhaps a dilapidated cottage, and a more reliable and safe haven in the least noticeable garbage dump.

In some simple sheds, children hid nervously under the bed or in the cellar. The bigger teenagers held scimitars.

The entire city is divided into countless forces, clearly divided. If it were not for a premeditated attack, no one would have rashly entered the field of others.

This is the night time in Hehu Town.

Lance stood on the roof, looking down at the surrounding blocks.

Some lizardmen have come out of the house, and they have taken advantage of various advantageous key terrains. It seems that Van Danel has made many explanations.

At least two lizard men were watching at a high point next to Reims.

This neighborhood belongs to the inherent territory of the Lizardman. At this time, except for the strange Lance, there are basically no people from other races.

Perhaps Van Danel had already explained it, and the other lizardmen were not curious about Lance's existence. The awe in his eyes looked at him was more than hostile.

Dangdangdang!

The pointer rubbed against the dial and made a sound. At this moment, everyone in the city felt tight.

"Young Master, it's going to night soon." Bonnie's voice came from below.

"Yes." Lance stretched and narrowed his eyes: "I've seen some people eager to do it."

"Will many people die?" Bonnie asked.

"After tonight, of course, there are a few who can survive," Lance replied.

"But why is this happening?" The little maid was a little confused: "Why are the underground races different from our surfaces? Why are they so keen on killing?"

flutter!

With a light sound, Lance jumped off the roof. He clapped his hands: "Because they don't do this, they can't survive."

"This is the mission of the entire underground race, to put it bluntly - it is resources and desires."

"In this universe, the birth of every life means endless demand for world resources; however, resources are limited and demand is infinite - in some worlds, this contradiction has spawned the way of playing within the rules, and countless rules and regulations use the power of laws and rules to make everything run in chaos and order. They call that thing economics."

Lance entered the door, lay comfortably on the sofa, and asked the little maid to rub her shoulders. Then he continued:

"But in this world, the rules are different. When the individual's force is prominent enough to suppress others, it is necessary to maintain the operation of society in a more savage and primitive way. In fact, there are disputes in the surface world, which is also for resources. However, because the surface world has relatively abundant resources, the demand for fundamental interests is not so strong. People cherish their lives more than resources."

"And in the cruel underground world, where there is no sunlight, it means that everything is scarce! First of all, there is food, and then clothing, and people cannot even meet these basic needs. So there is war. A group of people died in the war, and the remaining people can survive. What's more, some people's ambitions are not satisfied with these inferior desires. They need more - such as women, such as power... All of this is aggravating the original laws of the underground world."

"The lower class fights for survival, and the superiors start wars for ambition. This is a portrayal of the essence of all intelligent life society. But all this is particularly obvious in the underground world."

After listening to Lance quietly, some strange light flashed in his bright eyes: "Young Master, I seem to understand."

Lance took a sip of the wine, which was left by Van Danle when he left, and the taste was not bad.

"Look at this bottle of wine, for us, it's just a bottle of wine. But for those lower races outside the Hehu Town, this thing can be exchanged for a truckload of food, which is enough for a family of three to spend the winter - but it may also mean a disaster for death. If you don't have enough strength to protect your resources, then these resources will turn into poison."

"The desire for various resources constitutes all kinds of desires. Some people's desires are just to survive, while others have the desires to control the entire world!"

"It is precisely because of so many diverse desires that our world has become so... interesting."

Bonnie looked at the big clock outside the window and pointed slowly at the black and white dividing area, and suddenly asked:

"Master, then what is your desire?"

Lance was slightly stunned, and suddenly grabbed the girl's soft waist and pulled her into his arms.

Bonnie exclaimed, but showed no dissatisfaction with Lance's violent actions.

"I am very greedy, so accordingly, I want a lot of things." Lance smiled and groped up the maid's waist with his big hands.

Bonnie's little face turned red immediately.

She moaned softly, "Young Master... at this time, it doesn't seem to be very...ah..."

Lance gently bit her delicate earlobe and whispered: "There is nothing wrong with it... They hit them, we do ours, both of them have nothing to do with it."

The next second, a discordant creaking sound rang on the sofa.

When! When! When...

Twelve consecutive bells rang, and the huge clock hand outside the window finally pointed to the black area.

In an instant, the entire Hehu Town shook slightly. The barbaric blood in everyone's heart seemed to be ignited.

Rumble!

Lance could clearly hear that the first explosion had occurred less than two blocks away from him.

That is the rune grenade of the gray dwarf.

Taking advantage of the moment when Lance's movements stopped, Bonnie gasped: "But what if they see them when they fight next to us?"

Lance didn't even look out the window, but responded to the little maid's doubts with practical actions-

With a snap, he closed the curtains.

Then there was an endless humming.

...

Two blocks away from the Reims Lodge, a large number of Holts completed the assembly.

They have launched the first round of attacks, and the rune grenades from the gray dwarves have shown great power as always.

The fortifications made by the lizardman in advance were already gone in this round of bombing, and only a pile of residue was left.

"It's so fucking fun!"

A gloomy Holt Knight waved his whip and thrust hard on the monster he was sitting down, the latter immediately let out a stunning roar.

"Keep smashing for me! Kill these damn lizard men! You dare to covet the seats of our Holts!"

The Knight's roar was loud and he could be heard throughout the block.

"Sir Waxson, the rune grenades in our warehouse have been used up in the first round of throwing."

His subordinates said timidly: "The Grey Dwarfs are too expensive... We only bought this batch."

Waxson was furious in an instant: "Fuck the grey dwarf! Dog-good profiteer! Wait until I kill these lizard men, go back to settle the score with them!"

The subordinates immediately frightened and looked like a slut: "Sir, this is not Jonah's plan. We have an offensive and defensive alliance with the Grey Dwarf..."

Waxson immediately stared at him fiercely. Under his fierce eyes, the subordinate was so scared that his knees were weak and his whole body trembled.

At this moment, a leisurely voice sounded: "Warkson. How long has this subordinate been with you? Why do you still don't understand your bluffing temper?"

"It's been seven or eight years." Waxson sneered, "so he knows how to act when I'm bluffing."

A woman full of beauty slowly appeared beside Waxson. Her tail swayed gently, with an indescribable temptation.

Almost all the Holt men present found that their lower bodies were swollen.

"Jan Funi, when did you let me last time? You know, this time you caused a lot of trouble. Although Jonah agreed to cooperate with you, he might not make a sound when the tribesmen accused you. But I am different." Waxson laughed and said, "If you are my woman, I will try my best to protect you. Let those soft eggs eat shit!"

Zhan Funi sneered: "Warkson, I know you are the number one general under Jonah. With the help of this [Venused Snake Lizard], you have the strength to compete with the second-level caster; but don't forget what you are here today. If Jonah is delayed, see if he will continue to regard you as his confidant!"

Waxson said disapprovingly: "If you could let me last time, what if you betray Jonah?"

After saying that, he looked at Zhan Funi's extremely seductive curve with some greed, licked his lips and said, "Especially when I know that you are still a virgin."

"The guy who has the brain on the worm!"

Before Zhan Funi could speak, a particularly tall guy walked out of the lizard man opposite him, and he cursed at Waxon:

"Can you still fight?? Damn it, I know that relying on the gray dwarf to support you."

As he spoke, the lizard man behind him pulled out his weapons.

Those weapons were all of them with fine iron scimitars, with blue light flashing on them, which was obviously enchanted.

"Black Elf!"

Waxson gritted his teeth and looked at the weapons.

Jen Funi said gloatingly: "Now you are in trouble. Jonah is responsible for attacking the casino area where Van Daner is stationed. This is the reserve grain storage area for the Lizardman. If you can't conquer, Jonah won't show mercy to you because of your previous record."

"Everyone takes action! The caster seizes the highlands and granaries, and the rest follow the attack!"

Waxson raised his whip and issued a formal order.
