Chapter 18 The Woodpecker and the Demon(1/2)

In the dust, Lance had no time to hide.

The branches raised high from the ground and made sharp laughs. Lance felt his body tightening, and in an instant, he was bound by countless branches.

"Hehe...hehe..."

The face attached to the bark made a low laugh.

Lance was sweating all over, his torch fell to the ground, rolled on the ground twice before it was extinguished.

A huge pain came from his arm, and he felt that he was about to be tied up and suffocated!

"Warning! Warning! A fracture of the left forearm."

"The chest cavity is deformed! And it is accompanied by a lot of internal bleeding!"

The fox's rapid voice rang continuously in Lance's heart, but at this moment, he could do nothing at all.

He could not resist the terrifying power transmitted from the branches. He tried his best and could not even break a branch.

"ah……"

Lance struggled in pain.

I didn’t expect that the whispering forest at this night would be so terrifying!

The strange human face attached to the surface of the big tree continued to tremble. Lance tried hard to open his eyes and allowed the branches to pull him towards the human face step by step.

The distance between the two sides was getting closer and closer, and at this time, he suddenly realized that the strange face had begun to twist.

This is not a real human face, but a group of countless small light spots!

Since the bark was filled with light blue light, these light spots formed a very human face, Lance subconsciously thought so.

But now he was getting closer, and he realized that the small light spots were still squirming.

"What exactly is this!" Lance sweated heavily. He tried to break free from the branches, but the more he struggled, the tighter the branches became.

...

Finally, Lance, who was unable to help, was dragged to a few feet from the bark.

He stared in despair, and a low laugh came from all directions, and the small light spots suddenly flew up and landed on Lance.

The next second, the pain like a tide hit Lance's nerves frantically.

"hiss!"

He couldn't help but take a breath!

These small light spots were actually blue bugs. They descended on Lance's skin, and their first move was to bite it!

In an instant, Lance's two arms, part of his chest and abdomen were torn off.

That kind of pain almost made him faint.

"Is this the terrifying world of wizards?"

Lance couldn't move, and he regretted it. He should be fully prepared to enter this forest again. At least, he should not see the two black shadows rushing in and into a place that human civilization cannot reach.

...

Just when Lance was desperate, a gust of wind suddenly came from above his head.

Hula, Hula!

This is the sound of leaves being blown.

A faint white light shone through the leaves and shone obliquely.

A golden woodpecker flew over from somewhere and suddenly landed on the big tree. As soon as it fell down, it began to peck at the skin of the big tree frantically!

Accompanied by the movements of this strange woodpecker, the originally cold and low laughter suddenly turned into a painful roar!

The little blue insects flew up frantically, drilled onto other big trees like running for life, and then drilled into the skin and disappeared.

The branches also began to tremble desperately, quickly letting Lance go, allowing him to fall to the ground, covered in blood.

The shrill wails became louder and louder, echoing back and forth throughout the woods.

The woodpecker did not stop its movements. It pecked out a small hole in the bark of the big tree and then used its long bird's beak to explore it.

The golden woodpecker pulled his head hard, and a deformed and translucent figure was pulled out of the big tree by it.

Lance, who was lying on the ground, was extremely surprised to see.

The magical scene in front of him even made him temporarily forget the pain all over his body. He opened his eyes wide and watched the situation continue to develop.

The woodpecker held the ghost-like thing in his mouth, flapped his wings hard, and flew up.

The ghost screamed repeatedly, but his eyes stared at Lance, revealing a strong resentment.

Suddenly, Lance felt cold all over and was extremely uncomfortable.

The golden woodpecker suddenly exerted force and completely swallowed the ghost into his belly.

The cold feeling disappeared from Lance.

"ah……"

The scorching pain on the skin came again. I was bitten by the little bugs just now. According to the fox's statistics, at least one-tenth of the skin on Lance's body was damaged to varying degrees. A lot of blood gushed out. If the bleeding was not stopped in time, I might die of excessive blood loss.

The golden woodpecker flew over with his wings, looked at Lance calmly, and suddenly said: "A stubborn mortal, you should not break into this forbidden forest."

Lance resisted the pain and looked at the golden woodpecker with curiosity. From its initial performance, Lance knew that it was definitely not an ordinary bird, but he didn't expect it to be able to speak.

"I, I'm here to find Hicks," Lance said with difficulty.

The Woodpecker shook his head gracefully: "Hicks will not meet a mortal."

"I'm not a mortal," Lance said seriously: "I'm a wizard."

The woodpecker looked at Lance with his head tilted, and said in confusion: "Is there any wizard who can't [Ghost Defense Technique]?"

"Aha? Ferendor? Demon defense technique?" Lance was a little confused.

...

The golden woodpecker flapped his wings, and at this moment, the low laughter suddenly sounded again in the forest.

But this time, it seemed like a group of people were laughing.

Lans was suddenly a little creepy, and he gritted his teeth and supported it, and took out the short bow and arrow from the Arcane Ring.

The woodpecker stood by him and walked back and forth, looking around alertly.

"Ekins, you did not obey our agreement and ran to my territory." A low voice suddenly sounded, looking erratic and indifferent:

"Aren't you afraid that I will eat you!"

The woodpecker raised his chest and sneered: "Pulsa, the king of ghosts, do you dare to fight against Lord Hicks head-on?"

The Demon King pretended to be horrified and said, "Oh, Hicks, of course I'm extremely scared."

After that, he quickly changed his tone: "But he can't save you! He is now busy with other things. The Treewalker House will no longer send people to support him. He can only solve all the things. Even if I eat you, do you think he has the energy to deal with me?"

Accompanied by the cold voice of Pulsa, countless translucent ghosts emerged from a big tree. They were suspended in the air, their eyes spit out, and their tongues reached under their chin, with scarlet barbs growing on them.

"These things are monsters?" Lance could clearly feel the strong negative energy from these ghost-like things.

"Fox, try to analyze what these ghosts are composed of!" Lance ordered in his heart.

"There is an abnormal force field around the target creature and cannot be scanned."

Lance shook his head. Many things in the wizard world are so weird that they are not measured by common sense. Even the main chip is powerless.

"It's not certain who eats whoever!" Woodpecker Ikins waved his wings proudly. Every time he waved, little golden woodpeckers would fly out of his wings.

Chicken, chicken.

The originally cold woods suddenly became noisy.

Lance's heart was pounding. All this was amazing to him!

As soon as the active little woodpeckers appeared, they flew towards the demons one by one, and the forest suddenly became chaotic.

From time to time, there are scenes where the little woodpecker swallows a demon and ghosts use their power to tear the little woodpecker's wings and eventually fall to the ground and die tragically.

Lance was overwhelmed with his eyes, and he also tried to use bows and arrows to attack the demons, but was stopped by Ekins.

"It's useless. It would be great if you know the devil defense technique." The woodpecker shook his head. "The attack of mortals cannot harm these devils at all."

"This forest was originally good, but later occupied by Pulsas and his tribe, and turned into a forbidden forest. These hateful demons are completely parasites that violate the laws of nature."

"One day, I will expel them from this forest."

Woodpecker Ekins said hatefully.

The battle between the two sides quickly split up, and all the little woodpeckers were killed, while the demons were left with a large number.

"Hehe, Ekins, I'm not interested in your flesh. The golden bead woodpecker must be sour and smelly."

"But the wizard apprentice behind you already has magic power on him, but he doesn't seem to have much magic. I like this kind of food the most."

The King of Demons led a group of demons and slowly pushed up.
