Chapter 1 Black Robe Saint

The city of Renas in May is the rainy season of the year.

The heavy rain for two consecutive days caused the slums to be completely occupied by moisture. The rainwater slid down the eaves and penetrated into the brick and stone walls under the eaves. Various dirty debris were soaked in the puddles everywhere on the uneven streets, emitting a suspicious smell.

A kerosene lamp emitting dim light shook forward in the darkness. Carrying it was an old-fashioned young man, with patched trousers to his knees, wearing a pair of homemade wooden slippers, and holding an umbrella with a piece of meat wrapped in newspapers in his hand. He avoided the water beach on the ground as much as possible and trotted home.

Because today is his sister's birthday, but because of the boss's sudden request for overtime, he had to stay in the store for a while. Finally, he could not wait until he got off work and hurriedly took the meat home.

For them, a piece of meat is much more practical than a cake.

In fact, his salary cannot afford those exquisite cakes unless he is ready to not eat or drink for the next half month.

However, when he came near his home, he saw a car parked in the rain from afar. The lights were turned off. On the side of the car, under the eaves of his house, there were two people standing there, sucking clouds and wailing, laughing from time to time.

The ominous premonition filled the young people's minds almost instantly, no longer avoiding the sewage beach on the ground, and running wildly along the street towards their own house.

"Who are you? What are you doing here!"

Before he could get to the place, the young man shouted, his eyes passing through the rain and turned to the second floor of the house, which was his sister's bedroom, and was lit with a faint candlelight.

There was a bloated black shadow reflected on the window. It was not his sister's figure, definitely not!

"Why did you come back so quickly? That guy won't take the money and ignore it, right?"

Someone downstairs heard a shout, pressing the cigarette butt in his hand against the stone pillar next to him, throwing it into the water puddle outside, and spitting it off, removing the astringent smell from his mouth.

"Is there any difference between coming back early and coming back late? Is it possible that he can stop me alone?"

Turning the guns worn around his waist to his side, he didn't have much patience with a slum ditch.

"Hey, don't use a gun, it doesn't matter to wake up the untouchables around you. If you scare Mr. David, do you want to continue doing it? You have to know that our Mr. David is a 'sensitive' man."

Unscrupulously making jokes from the boss, the man glanced at the young man who had already rushed to him, turned his head and said,

"You are watching here, I have to let him get away and save Mr. David's interest."

"Thank you for your hard work. I just bought this coat yesterday. I can't get dirty from the slums. I'll treat you to dinner when I go back later."

He patted his companion on the shoulder, lit a cigarette for himself, watched him walk into the rain, rushed and punched the young man in the face, easily knocking the other person to the ground.

How can a young man who may not be able to eat meat once a week win a guard battle that has received professional combat training and is proficient in close combat?

By will?

Stop talking nonsense!

The gap between the two is like a gap. Perhaps there will be a certain degree of combat effectiveness bonus in a furious state, but it is far from enough to turn defeat into victory, not to mention that there is another person who has not taken action at all and the guns are not used.

"Hey, are you mentally wrong? Shouldn't you be honored by Mr. David to be willing to 'get close to your sister? If she felt comfortable serving Mr. David, maybe Mr. David would leave some rewards and you would make it. You don't understand such a simple truth?"

The guard asked with a sarcastic tone as he stepped on the young man's head into a sewage puddle on the ground.

The young man was still reluctant to stand up again, and the boots on the back of his head were indeed loose. However, when he jumped up again, he was greeted by a sharp kick that fell on his neck, and then he ran into the wooden box piled up on the other side of the street without saying a word.

"Why do you bastards hurt Tina..."

He fell on the street, and blood was constantly overflowing from his mouth and nose, melting into the sewage under him. The young man wanted to get up and fight again, but he was hit hard on his neck and had no ability to fight. At this time, two broken wooden boards were inserted on his back. The excessive blood loss in his body made him quickly fall into a dizzy state.

"It seems you need help."

A low voice sounded in his ears.

The rain around him stopped at this moment, and the young man reluctantly raised his head. The first thing he saw was the guard who was beating his escort the previous second as if he had been imposed on the stance.

Then I saw the vague figure standing next to the guard.

I don’t know if it’s because of the night, the rain or other things, but what young people can see is a black robe that keeps gushing out of gray and black mist.

"I...If...If...If you are the god of death, please help me kill them! Kill them all!"

The young man gritted his teeth and growled in a low voice.

"You want me to help you, but what can you give me?"

The previous voice rang again.

"Everything, everything about mine!"

The young man couldn't wait to yell, because he was eager to speak, and even blood and broken teeth were spitting out of his mouth.

"Everything about you? No...I don't want so much, I just want you to believe in me and the saint of the black robe!"

"I believe it! As long as you can help me, I believe everything!"

Without any hesitation, for him, as long as he can survive and save his sister, he can do anything!

"I swear I am willing to help you. I want to give you the power to kill them. I want to give you the power to protect your family. But you are so hypocritical and without any integrity, because I don't feel the belief from you. How can you deceive me like this..."

"Great... Saint of Black Robe, please give me strength. I am willing... I am willing to serve you for a lifetime!"

As if he had realized something, the young man supported the street with his hands, tried his best to get up, and smashed his forehead on the street in front of him, and said in a deep voice.

"Child, tell me your name."

"Rubin Nelson."

"Remember this moment, Rubin Nelson, you will become my most devout believer, and in return I will give you strength!"

The rain fell again, and the low voice disappeared.

The guard raised his hand and landed on the ground, looking at the opposite side in a daze, standing up again, touching his waist for a while, and looking around at the young man. He remembered that he should have solved the other party before.

"It's really troublesome. Since you have fallen, wouldn't you be lying on the ground and pretending to be dead?"

He just kicked one more time, without any hesitation, rushed forward and waved his fist again.

Smack ~

The palm of your hand steadily catches the fist so that it cannot go any further.

The two were in a stalemate in the rain, Rubin's face was full of disbelief.

He felt his body full of strength, not to mention the injury, even the fatigue disappeared without a trace!

"It's true...it's true!"

He pressed his fist's palm down with force, easily suppressing the guard, and then another circle hit his face.

This time it was his turn to fly out directly, collapse on the street next to him, rushed forward in a few steps, and hammered him to the ground in the same way before another guard drew his gun. The existence that was usually extremely powerful in his eyes can now easily defeat it.

Faith is never born out of thin air. Only with hard work can there be rewards. This sentence does not only apply to believers.

If there was a little hesitation before, then when Rubin rushed to the second floor and saw the man who was halfway down, and the man who was bloated like a fat pig was stiff in place, while his sister hid in the corner of the wall intact, he completely became a loyal believer of the saint of the black robe.

Unfortunately, he did not kill these people until the end, but just beat them up and threw them out of his own house.

"Get out of here, don't let me see you again!"

Rubin gritted his teeth and looked at the three people who were rolling and crawling outside the door and leaving. It was not that he didn't want to kill them all here, but he also knew clearly that if he really did this, he and his sister would also be buried with these bastards...

"If you can still hear my prayers, please protect me and Tina."

Looking at the rear lights passing out the window, Rubin murmured to himself.

When he turned around, the gloom on his face suddenly disappeared because on the small wooden table in his house, there was a piece of meat wrapped in newspapers, and next to it was a umbrella with water dripping...

"Hey, I have the courage, responsibility, and also very rationality. I still haven't been blinded by anger in this situation. Good, very good."

At the end of the street, someone was holding an umbrella and playing with the bone spirit plate in his other hand, and then said to the people beside him,
Chapter completed!
